Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Pinesimmer was SummerClan medicine cat now. Installed by Aspenstar not only to keep the clan in line... but also as a punishment for his suspected part in causing Aspenstar's death. Please. If he was going to kill her, he would at least do it himself, or have the sense to not get caught. The though made his blood boil, and for a moment, he was so lost in thoughts of wishing death on Phantomfox in particular that he didn't notice the cat entering the den.
Cranepaw had been bugging Vulturemalice for moons now for the spot of medicine cat apprentice but now he was missing and the clan had been taken over. The only plus side was that there was a new medicine car and this a new chance to become a medicine cat apprentice! Stepping into the den, she locked eyes on her new target, Pinesimmer. She’d beg him, convince him to take her on as his student and then show everyone that she was destined for this role!
Pinesimmer didn't even look up from taking random herbs out of the stores to assess everything in them. He could smell SummerClan, but no blood, not that he intended to help out anyway. "Get lost. If it's urgent and you're going to die, don't do it in my den. Find someone else to bother and hope to StarClan they don't want to claim you yet."
"I'm not here for treatment." Cranepaw puffed out her chest, standing with her paws apart and trying to seem as large as her small frame can. "I want to be your student!" She narrowed her eyes, trying to give a lot that said I dare you to tell me no.
Pinesimmer dared to laugh at the apprentice. "What do I need a student for? Get lost." The tom answered in a snide tone, rolling his eyes. Didn't matter what Cranpaw was daring him to do or not, considering he didn't even spare her a cursory glance. She wasn't worth his time.
“I refuse!” Cranepaw’s eyes shown with defiance and she squared her body in a way that spoke fo a fight. The appearance of a spoiled child more than anything, but the she-cat didn’t care. She’d throw a tantrum if that’s get her what she wanted. “I’ll do all you say. Collect even the smelliest of herbs and clean all the dens. Whatever it takes but I will be your apprentice!”

Pinesimmer rubbed a paw against his face in slight annoyance. Honestly, she was almost worse than Jackdawpaw.... And that was saying something. Or maybe that was just Pinesimmer hating the youth. Could be anything at this point. "You really want to be my apprentice?" There was a tone in his voice that suggested Cranepaw should really turn around about now and leave while she had the chance.
“Yes!” Was he giving in that easily? Surely not? But maybe! Her hopes were up and her body was practically vibrating with excitement at the prospect of fulfilling her dream and life goal. In her excitement, she didn’t catch his tone. Or maybe it was because she doesn’t know him that well as she does Vulturemalice but nonetheless, she continued on.

Fine, she could have what she wanted. Well, he could have what he wanted, and she would be out of his hair. "Fine, if you pass my test." Pinesimmer rummaged through the herbs, picking out a few deathberries, and some foxglove seeds. The former was well known as poison to most cats, but the latter was easily mistaken for poppy seeds by anyone who didn't know the difference. He placed them on separate leaves, and pushed them towards Cranepaw. "Pick one of these and eat it."
