Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The beast crashed through the undergrowth, its vision just a frantic, sweeping blur of greyscale. Its breathing was heavy, and violent, and hateful - it wanted to kill. Already blood was plastered over its coarse, human-like hair, and there were marks on one of its ankles as if from a bear trap. Everywhere it ran its small, beady eyes glared malevolently at the black woods around it, the redwoods and the ferns and the moss. This wasn’t a natural creature who killed when it needed to and felt no hate for the world around it - it was cruel, and it despised every living thing upon the Earth. In the distance, bright blurs of white lights through the trees lured it closer.
It thundered into the clearing around the building - there was faint music thumping from within, and silhouettes of cats moved to and fro past the curtains in the well-lit rooms, chatting and laughing obliviously - and stood staring at it, its thick, hairy arms held out from its body and its breathing rough and ragged. The yellow lights from the windows fell over it, casting long columns on the rough earth and the creature standing upon it. It was a quiet night, clear save for the faint wisps of drizzle that fell through the light and onto the beast’s fur. Finally, it turned and sprinted away on two legs back into the undergrowth. In the distance, a terrible roar, muffled by the trees, exploded from the forest, sending bats and birds shrieking into the black sky.
THAT MORNING
“Rise and shiiiiiiiiine!” Eshek called merrily, skipping from room to room in the mansion with a little basket of probably-not-cat-friendly candy swinging from her mouth. She was now almost halfway through her pregnancy and her stomach was quite round. Despite this, she was wearing a bright orange onesie decorated with black bats and cats, white spiderwebs, pumpkins, and witches on broomsticks, and a tall black witch’s hat that towered over her head and had two little holes for her ears. There was also a bell-like thing tied around the tip of her tail, but instead of tinkling it had batteries and played a monstrous, evil laugh and spooky organ music every time it was jolted. And since she was prancing about carelessly, it kept starting over and over and over before the previous audio loop had even ended, meaning it created an incredibly AGGRAVATING cycle of laugh, scary mus-laugh-laugh-laugh, scary mus- laugh- and so on.
It was the perfect 5am wake-up call for the League.
“Happy spooky month!” she greeted every room happily, tossing in candy at the sleeping murderers and fiends. “Good morning! You look nice today, I’m loving the crusty drool! Wow, who did your hair? It looks terrible! Hi, Bermondsey!” She skipped a circle around the Warden lying in his quarters, throwing candy up in the air that rained down over him, and then skipped back out before he could yell at her. “Hi, Agamede!” She skipped into the Nemesis’ quarters, paying no mind to whatever intimate shenanigans might have been going on behind closed doors, and plopped a matching witch’s hat to hers on the assassin’s head.
Skipping back out along the long hallway with a fogged, icy window spanning the entire length of the right side, she suddenly stopped and hopped onto the long red window seat, placing her forepaws on the cold glass. Looking out through the drizzle, she could see, down on the cobblestones outside the entrance to the mansion, a great big pool of blood and patches of long, wiry hair. Her breath fogged over the glass as she started to hyperventilate. “ESCAPED GORILLA!” she screamed at the top of her lungs, already racing back along the hallway and down the stairs to go and be the first to look at the potential crime scene.
Kier, wearing little plastic vampire fangs that gave him a lisp, black vampire wings, a black bowtie, and little white cuffs - with cufflinks - around his ankles that made him look like he was a little gentleman wearing a tuxedo, stumbled, bleary and irritated, out of the trainees’ room. “What’f happening?” he asked with his new lisp, rubbing sleep from his eyes and opening his mouth in a huge, cute kitten yawn.
“ESCAPED GORILLA,” Eshek said breathlessly as she ran past him so fast that she lost her footing and slammed at full speed into the staircase bannister. But because she was a cat in only the most cursory of ways, she just bounced, making an audible squeak, and continued scrabbling down the stairs towards the dark marble lobby below. This could mean a camping trip! Or an expedition to go and capture the beast that had done this!
achromaticashestoasheswoofHoneystorm @ian @ash DelrowebaublesunlightShadowbladeღgoldcrestuniqcrimCleaver and everyone else i might have missed! the league’s going bigfoot hunting! there are no rules, no expectations - just come, grab a bear trap and a case or two of meat bait, and help track bigfoot to whatever cave he might be hiding in. oh, and bring a costume! happy october <333
Gods, what had Eshek in such a frenzy anyway? He didn't understand why she was always waking up so damn early. What was the point of mornings anyway? He groaned once more as candy rained upon him; where did she get that too? The air was too cold and everything was feeling frosty right now, he wasn't sure he even wanted to leave the mansion. It wasn't much warmer in here, but surely it was better than the cold of the outdoors.
"Ugh," he groaned, his paws covering his ears at her screeching, "five more minutes...."

Rhiannon and Hywel, however, seemed intrigued. Not decked out in halloween costumes yet, the older of the two approached first. "What do you mean escaped gorilla?" he asked, "are we going to hunt something?" He wasn't sure what a gorilla was, having never seen one, but he was intrigued by anything new.
"What's happening?" Rhiannon approached Eshek with an excited grin, "are we going hunting? Are we finding something mysterious?" She was always up for a good adventure.

"Moooorning Eshek" Uta, the marbled tom was rubbing his face with paw having just awoken and ready to being his morning routine when he noticed her apparel. "Ah, cute outfit!.. Oh-" an idea stuck him as he turned back to his mate direction somewhere in the distance "Accalia!" Someone warn Tarn, his father was thinking a plot most cruel, so horrifically torturous - let no one agree that a family of matching onesies was a good idea. It wouldn't stop here, he'd do it again and there would be new matching onesies for the winter holidays.

Alula-nova snorted awake with a "Huh, wha..?" at the first 'rise and shine' call. She mimicking her father and others alike with rubbing her face and slowly started to stir awake. She wished she could go back to sleep but there was this darn weird laughing, music noise? The confusion in her brain had her staring at the entrance-way to the rest of mansion where Kier had just stumbled out before finally deciding, yeah, okay I'm getting up. She barely climbed out of her nest when Eshek ran by and and heard her crash and squeak. "What the - what is happening?" she echoed the other trainee's previous words as she glanced to him for better answer and explanations neither of them had. She too, had no idea what a gorilla was - something like a big monkey? That didn't sound too scary course she didn't know just how much bigger they actually were.

He didn't like getting woken up. Especially by some screaming lunatic. Bellamy peeled his eyes open from his nest, his teeth baring together in irritation. The sharp green hue flashed in the shadows of his nest as he listened to that big squawking cat speak of a gorilla, and hunting or something. He was too tired to really care about whatever it was she was speaking about. He gave a low growl in his throat, but made no move to leave his nest. Not just yet, anyhow. He closed one eye back, and kept the other open, ears angled towards the speaking bunch. He would only get up if he had to, otherwise, he was going to go back to sleep. If they would shut up, that is.

Regulus E'tan gave a small grunt as Eshek pranced out of the room happy to finally get one more moments peace when her shrike had been heard. The Nemesis ran down the stairs towards the commotion on high alert. "What's goin on and why is there screaming?"
"Oh she said something about a gorilla escaping but I have no clue on what that is. So why should I be afraid of that?" The white haired tom said as he gave a big yawn. To Adrian it was her just desserts for ruining his beauty sleep.
"It is most definitely be something to worry about, they could be extremely dangerous to anyone and especially to us if it see's us as dangerous. They move like twolegs but are more prone to instinct then those things are. They are strong and even feared by the two legs." replied back the bangel Orion who had so happened to have been awake but busy with her own costume she had been working on.
"Well then lets go hunt it would be my suggestion...and I volunteer Adrian as bait!" The ginger tom Felix replied.
Looking around for his warden and assassins Regulus gave a quick yowl as everyone drew back their attention to him. "We need to keep it from coming to the mansion in order to protect the younglings and spies. Cats who wish to hunt may volunteer to do so and join us. We shall all leave shortly. Grab what you may think is useful and join me on the pourch to gather up at."
"I have pitchforks sharp items and such that maybe useful if anyone wishes to check my wares," spoke Saden as he lead any cats that followed him to his short supply closet of unknown items.
reggie: what do you have there saden: a knife!!!! reggie: NO!!!!
"I want a sharp object," Rhiannon announced, trotting over to Saden with a grin.
"Don't give her any sharp objects!" Hywel hissed, giving his sister a glare. He wasn't so much worried about her hurting herself, but his sister with a knife? Oh someone was definitely going to get hurt.
Bermondsey was still lying down, half asleep lazing as if they were about to paint him like one of his french girls, "Wouldn't it be better if you split into groups? You'll cover more ground and we can get all of this over with."

"Hmm?" Uta heard Regulus's yowl and paid attention just to determine if it was a serious threat. Gorilla? In all his years he maybe saw one once... from a distance... on a twoleg's tv magical light square. He just thought the kittypet fling of his at the time really had nothing better to do than watch clearly made-up-creature-illusions - besides they looked small... but then again he was watching far away from a window sill and didn't stick around to see a banana for scale. Still, guess the dress up/costume idea will have to wait, and without a change in expression headed for Saden at the moment he said 'sharp'.
/I want a sharp object/ "Ah, is your tongue not sharp enough?" the tom purred as he joined the side of one of his favorite friends or frenemies. There didn't seem to be much of a difference to him when even his own kits occasionally hated him so clearly all the greatest friendships were just like that, course he also considered all cats his friends after one conversation but that was just a old manipulation habit that couldn't die. Before, it was to manipulate - but now it was because he was actually interested in making friends whether anyone could believe anymore or not.

Alula-nova-kun didn't know what to make of the announcement and what to do with the information as she gathered closer to the other cats.
"Hey do you think they want us to stay back or let us fight?" she asked out loud before she even turned to see who was near. She didn't know what they were up against and wanted to fight but it sounded dangerous and it wasn't mentioned that Trainees needed to stay back with the Spies and Younglings sooo... At the same time she didn't want to get in the way or get yelled at later for not getting her mentor's approval. i think the warden is the sole mentor now? idk

(Yea mass trainings with the living or death proxies but we still need to flesh that out oops)
Orion declined the idea of wanting a sharp object but instead walked over ad joined Felix and Regulus as they made their ways to start the hunting party. Tarn-kun turned towards his sister with a shrug "I say we go and fight! I don't see why we can't, right? We have been training to do these kind of things and...well...no one specifically said trainees couldn't go. Lets do it!"
Felix on the other hand was slightly excited but...hesitant. This was HUGE. Dangerous. Possibly could take his life. And he was ready for it, whatever happened. He had nothing to leave behind if he died. It didn't matter...he didn't matter. His hesitation went out the door as his thought set in.
