Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Lunarpoem as a mentor was an…interesting choice. Many didn’t like to interact with her due to her strange pattern of speech. Kits and apprentices had always feared getting her as a me tired as how could they learn from her if they didn’t understand what she was even saying? But here she was now, with not one but two apprentices. Some whispered that she was only given two to take potty on the little ones. Nonetheless, they were hers and she’d teach them all she could. The trick was them understanding her.
Standing by the entrance to camp, she waited for them to arrive. The she-cat had told them what time to met her, mid-day, but she’d spoken in her usual poetry style.
It appeared that this entire triad was doomed from the very start. Not only had Lunarpoem been selected as a mentor, which was a questionable decision on Jetstar’s part in the very least, but two newly promoted apprentices that were utter rivals – in a manner – despite being littermates were stuck with only one, slightly daffy she-cat to stand between them. Serpentine was aware of Chrysoprase’s dislike of her; each of her siblings had their own bonds and rivalries with one another, as though fate itself had only chaos in store for them, but as for Serpentine’s feelings about her sister… well, Serpentine had none. When it came to Chrysoprasepaw, Serpentine was neutral; when in a group of all of her siblings, Chrysoprasepaw always melted into the background. Now, she was faced with interacting with her.
The she-cat padded up to her curious mentor with a small smile, “Lunarpoem,” she greeted with a dip of her head, “what do you have planned for us today?”
Lunarpoem only smiled, her eyes watching for her other charge. “Halt, oh small one. Grace be rewarded in time. Slow trickling trees turn to swift foxes by hands of crafted stone.” On other words, be patient I’ll teach you all you’ll need when you need it to become strong and swift. But would the apprentice understand that? Probably not. Though Lunarpoem didn’t realize that, and if she did it was almost a test in another sense. If they could think differently, use their brains to decipher her words, it would only make them stronger as warriors.

Where many seemed to question Lunarpoem and her ability based on the way she spoke, Chrysoprasepaw found it to be quite fun and interesting. Already, the apprentice liked her new mentor. "I'm excited to learn from you," the silver tabby took her mentor in stride and respectfully dipped her head at the warrior. She glanced at her sister with a slight look of disdain. She was not looking forward to training with Serpentinepaw.
Serpentinepaw glanced over at her sister, half in confusion half in disappointment, and looked back at their mentor. "That certainly seems like I'll be waiting a long time. Since stones don't have hands, whatever those are, and trees don't trickle or turn into foxes." She shook her head. "You're definitely a different one. But maybe this won't be completely a waste of time. Let's get going."
