Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Fogpaw had noticed recently that the birds were starting to disappear. First it started with large flocks gathering in trees to roost. Now he could barely find any at dawn or dusk. The birds chirping also seemed to have disappear as well. That evening he noticed there was a strange chill in the air when he woke up to go hunting. As he approached the edge of the City of Ash. He paused beneath a rather large tree. Looking rather puzzled the young cat couldn’t place his paw why the tree looked strange. As the moon light peaked out from behind the clouds. It cast a soft light on the leaves. Softly illuminating the leaves enough to give away the slightest hint of color. “Wait what happened to this tree!” He exclaimed as he saw the orange color rather than the normal green hue he was used to.
"I have no idea!" Ayala had noticed the only other kitten, or recent kitten, in the City of Ash leave, and she followed. To her, it looked like the tree was on fire, but oddly enough was not burning. "It's so weird. I wonder what's causing it..." Her eyes widened as a strong gust blew by, and sent many leaves from the trees scattering to the ground. "AHHHHH! THE TREE IS FALLING!"
Fogpaw practically jumped out of his fur when Ayala approached from behind. He was scared for a moment that he had been caught by his mother. The leaves started to fall when Ayala exclaimed that the tree was falling. Trying to dodge the leaves he failed to dodge them all when a leaf smack him right in the face. A small yelp left his lips as he scrambled to pull the leaf stuck to face. The leaf felt scratchy and strange. Another leaf was laying near his paw. He poked it and was surprised by the crunch it made. “Why does it sound like that?? Is the tree sick?”
At this point Ayala had run far away from the tree... but to her dismay all of the other trees looked to be doing be doing the same thing. She squealed and dashed back over to Fogpaw. "I DON'T KNOW AND I DON'T CARE! THE ENTIRE FOREST IS DYING!"
"Should we tell someone like the older cats??? Do you think they know the forest is dying?" He asked creeping back away from the trees. He wondered if this meant they were all in danger.
(Sorry for the late response, I've had it written up two or three times and I always closed it before posting) By now Ayala had put some serious distance between herself and the tree... but it was everywhere the farther she ran, the more it looked like the trees were dying. It was the end of the world as she knew it! "YEAH! WHERE'S YOUR MOM!? SHE NEEDS TO KNOW!"
