Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. Windchaser stood at the fresh-kill pile, her mouth watered. It had been a couple days since the execution of Deal and some of the Dayclan and Springclan cats were taking refuge in Nightclan's camp. Without the beatings and torture, Windchaser began to gain her strength back and the spark in her eyes were beginning to brighten. She took a rabbit from the pile and searched for Illuminatedpaw to share it with him.
Illuminatedpaw was recovering as well with the freedom from SunClan's oppressive hold over them.
He rested in the clearing Bleakpaw fixing his wrap. NightClans medicine cat was away trying to get training. So bleakpaw who liked to learn herbs was helping treat the refugees injuries.
The two apprentices looked up when Windchaser neared and Illuminatedpaw's eyes lit up. "Oh thats a nicely sized rabbit."
"I thought so too and I thought maybe you would like to share it with me" She meowed, setting the rabbit down. She gave Bleakpaw a greeting nod. "Thank you for helping us out, Bleakpaw."
"Happy to help," Bleakpaw assured her, he got up. "All right Illuminatedpaw. Its not perfect but itll help." He nodded to the wrap. "Just be sure to rest it a little longer,"
Then the apprentice padded away to leave Illuminatedpaw and Windchaser to themselves.
Illuminatedpaw purred, "You know it, lets share this thing," he said brightly
For the first time in two moons, she gave a genuine grin. She settled down in front of him and took a decent bite of the rabbit and allowed Illuminatedpaw to take a bite of his own. "You know" she mewed, her mouth full, "I heard Burningstar and some Nightclan cats were going to try to set Dayclan and Springclan free" She swallowed and licked her lips.
Illuminatedpaw nodded taking a bite. "Yeah, but it didn't sound like a lot wanted to go... especially since she's planning on going a few days after the gathering. Most of these cats seem pretty sick of having to be up during the day and night."
