Rhiannon couldn't help it. She coudn't stop thinking about the body they had found, the way its head had practically had a tree growing out of it, the leaves spread in a pattern the way it did. Perhaps part of her should've remembered witnessing something like this as a kit, and perhaps if she did, she'd be horrified by it all, but she didn't. Hywel had never really told her, that she had been the next sacrifice in line for the loch. Instead, she regarded all of this with a scientific fascination, almost similar to when she had spoken to the shaman. Curiosity and that thirst for knowledge had driven her to all these great heights, and she had yet to learn how to pull back from it.
Still, there had been another cat in the group that she had found fascinating. She didn't know who to suspect; frankly she wasn't the kind to point fingers at anyone, but this meant that there were others who knew, others who had come from the same culture as she had, and while Hywel wouldn't speak to her about any of this, surely, one of them would, no?

Niamh had found the recent events interesting in the same way that she found the silly little lives of the cats around her interesting: it was something to do, something to think about that at the end of the day had little to do with her life. Perhaps it was improper to think that the ghosts of her homeland didn't directly implicate her; perhaps the calico feline was a fool for being less concerned. After all, if someone was coming to kill the cats from the Loch, well, she was on the hit list. Niamh didn't see any real risk to herself, though. She was quite convinced that whatever was to come, she'd be safe. After all, who could put those amber eyes of hers in danger?
Her vague interest in the actual murder, though, didn't mean she only had vague interest in the cats that seemed somehow involved. She didn't really know if any of them had been the killer, but if she cared enough to really know, Niamh would place her bets on Rhiannon. She was the only one that seemed less than impressed with Niamh, and that actively read as suspicious to her. Most fell to her charms without a second blink; it was rare to see someone so immune to her wiles. But, did that mean she was capable of stuffing a tree in another cat's head? She was unsure, but interested in finding out.
"Penny for your thoughts?" she meowed as she padded up to Rhiannon, her smile easy.

The voice interrupted her thoughts, and Rhiannon immediately turned to see a familiar face. She knew this cat's name, not for any other reason other than the fact that it was certainly a loch name. While Hywel would've reacted with suspicion, Rhiannon was more than intrigued. She had only met a few of her kind before, and her own morbid curiosity extended to nearly everything. She was, after all, a scientist at heart. Niamh. It was a name not a lot of cats pronounced correctly, that was for sure.
"Niamh," she spoke, the melodic lilt to the name was a testament of their shared background, "you're one of the cats from the loch...and you had a sister, no?"
She wasn't all so open to immediately spilling her thoughts, penny or not. This cat would have to prove to be trustworthy first. She didn't know the cat, didn't want to think they were capable of that murder but hey, what was she to know? "Don't tell me I'm the next of your victims, I haven't got my affairs in order yet," her whiskers twitched in amusement.
