Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
One leg poked out from underneath the trunk, twitching like a freshly crushed bug.
"Wow, that was sexy," commented Swiftscout. She just loved a woman willing to kill her. She trotted up and pinched Eshek's cheeks between her canonically opposable thumbs, smooshing her face and muttering baby-fied gibberish. "Whosthecutiewootiestsweetietweetiest!!! Oh by Zeus, I just LOVE you babe!" She kissed Eshek on the mouth, gave her cheek one last pat, then lifted the tree and sent it careening off elsewhere, revealing a mahogany desk beneath it that had two computer chairs on either side, an old Dell monitor with a dent in the side from being smacked so often, and disorganized paperwork spread haphazardly across it. Swiftscout took a seat in one of the chairs and crossed her legs on the desk, her very dapper business suit primped and obviously ironed out with care. "Please, have a seat."
Eshek was struggling to not hyperventilate, her eyes wide as Swiftscout squished her cheeks and baby-talked to her. She was too terrified to move. She didn't know what hellish creature this was but it was incredibly powerful. When Swiftscout moved away, she risked a quick glance at the twitching leg underneath the trunk - before the whole tree was lifted and thrown into the distance. Eshek's breathing shuddered. It was more powerful than a god. Zeus hadn't been seen lately - could this monster have deposed and imprisoned him, taking his place as god of the gods? It was a more terrifying prospect than she could stand to think about. Zeus, after all, was her housemate. As Swiftscout sat down, Eshek stayed where she was for a long moment, just staring at her with her chest rising and falling in quick, deep, terrified breaths, before she finally walked over and sat down, perching on the edge of the chair and clinging to the armrest with both arms. Calming elevator music had begun to play from a speaker over their heads.
"Are you... are you the taxman?" she asked breathlessly, fidgeting nervously in her seat like she was coming down from a bad high. "It's just been a hectic few months, y'know. Years, really. I didn't mean to commit tax fraud, it just sort of happened." She grinned beseechingly, eyebrows pushed together, wringing her dexterous cat toes anxiously as she spoke.
