Joypaw waited on her mentor at the entrance to camp like she had been instructed. She had chosen Perfectstorm as her mentor for several reasons, but mostly because he always seemed so sad when he looked at them. She didn't quite understand why though. Her mother had tried to explain, but it went over her head. But why he was sad didn't really matter so much as trying to fix it. One way or another, she was determined to make him smile today. Not one of those fake courtesy smiles, but a real smile!Jadie
"Good morning, Joypaw. I hope you haven't been waiting too long," Perfectstorm said as he approached his tiny apprentice. He always felt a bit on edge around cats that were so pitiful small compared to him. He'd heard the stories and seen some of the aftermath of when Mountain stepped on and crippled or killed other cats simply because he wasn't being careful. While Perfectstorm was nowhere near as large as that monstrosity, it wasn't hard for him to imagine being in his shows, which is why her very quickly decided their focus would be hunting and patrolling until she was big enough that he didn't think he'd break her in a spar, "I'll let you pick where we go today, surely there's a part of the territory you've never seen what wanted to."

Joypaw stood as Perfectstorm approached, a big grin spreading across her face as he greeted her. Her tail straight up in the air with just the tip wiggling with impatience. If there was one thing that her mother had taught her it was patience "Good morning, I have not been waiting long" she returned his greeting in kind, but allowed him to speak next "I have always wanted to see the white tree! I know it isn't our territory, but momma said you could still see it from our border. It sounded really pretty, and I haven't seen a tree before! Is the white tree really special?" in most clans not having seen a tree before sounded outrageous, but Joypaw had not yet been allowed out of camp. Especially with all of the traps and hidden dangers, Littlestar had been keeping her youngest litter close at hand.
"Really, you want to see a tree when we have a volcano?" Perfectstorm sighed, tapping the top of Joypaw's head with an oversized paw, "But I did say I'd let you pick, so White Tree it is. It's part of DayClan's territory so we are a welcome to go right up to it. If we're lucky, it'll still be in bloom and you'll be able to bring home a souvenir."

"Yes I am serious big brother. I have seen fire before, but not a tree!!" she squeaked when he agreed to her request, racing towards the entrance before looking back at Perfectstorm "Do you think momma would like a blossom?" she asked playfully, bouncing around the entrance. Her paws moving so fast that she was practically running in place "I'm so excited!! I didn't think I would actually get to go right up to the tree!"
"I don't know," Perfectstorm replied flatly when Joypaw asked if Littlestar would like a flower. He didn't know much about his mother and the fact that this trip was turning into a favor for her definitely dampened his spirtis somewhat, but he did his best to stay positive for his little sister. It wasn't her feault.
"Anyway, stay close and don't wander out of my sight. Strange things have been happening in SunClan lately so we need to be extra careful," He mewed as he began leading the two of them toward DayClan territory, "White Tree is at the southernmost point of SunClan's territory and has bodies of water on either side of it. NightClan has stolen the territory from DayClan in the past although I don't believe they occupy it now. At any rate, it's got a good view of all the main territories, so it's pretty easy to avoid conflict since you can see it coming."
