"DEVOTEDCROW"
A firm paw poked at Devotedcrow's side as he slept in the SwiftClan warrior's den, a set of golden eyes hovering overhead "Ahhhmmm..DSKFJSHDFJKHL" Desertwind's sides heaved, as clearing his throat turned into a much heavier cough almost choking sound. Something had gotten stuck in his throat, though to what he wasn't sure. Perhaps it was some saliva, particle of dust, pollen? As much as he wanted to linger there thinking about it, he had bigger questions that needed answering
"Hurry up brother, we need to get to the river before the sun rises"
If he wasn't awake from the scream in his ear or the jab to his side, Desertwind's unholy hacking had him on his paws in a millisecond, leaping back in fear of being puked on. "OH NO YOU DON'T," he screeched and held a hay stem out in front of him, warding off the evil inside his brother's throat, "NOT AGAIN! YOU'VE PUKED ON ME MORE TIMES IN THE ONE HOUR I'VE BEEN HERE THAN MY KITS HAD IN THEIR FIRST SIX MOONS!"
He didn't lower his guard until Desertwind was able to clear his throat, and even then the tom's bright gaze was narrow. ".....Why, exactly, do we need to get there before sunrise?"
Desertwind gave his brother an undignified snort "Nonsense, I have yet to throw up on you. A record I daresay your kits can not beat in their wildest dreams" the gray tom remained on his paws, glad to see that his brother had clearly awoken. However at his brother's question, his head tilted to one side in confusion
"It comes out at dawn precisely, now come along or we are both going to miss it"
He twisted around with his tail draped over Devotedcrow's shoulders "Don't worry I will let you talk the whole way to the lake about your clan, kits, and other trivial things before we get to the really good stuff"
"....Then who the hell is puking on me?" He didn't have time to ponder it before he was herded from the den.
Devotedcrow sighed as his brother continued to speak, though he did offer the tiniest, most unwilling of fond smiles at him. Desertwind had always been different, more disconnected from his emotions than the rest of the family, and they certainly were opposite each other - his scientific reasoning contrasting Crow's emotional nature - but he'd never judged his brother and he wasn't about to start now. "Well, SummerClan is good right now. My kits are about to earn their warriors names... Well, garden keeper names, I suppose. Crownedpaw is the only warrior left in the bunch since Firepaw decoded to become a rogue. I think Eveningpaw is a little like you. You're both weird as hell," he teased, bumping Desertwind's shoulder as they walked. "And Orchiddrop and I are expecting another litter in a moon or so."

"Ew. Don't compare me to your spawn" Desertwind replied with a slight scrunching of his nose. He had never really met Devotedcrow's children before and he had this image in his mind of little disfigured children that kind of resembled their father running around "I'm a dad now to, and you don't see me comparing you to Butterkit. But if you insist...." but the tom's words were cut short as the lake came into view. Just the faint glimmering of light appearing across the horizon as his pace increased to reach the water's edge
"Perfect timing as always!!!" he chirped cheerfully, before glancing around "Come, on we need to hide" before tugging him into one of the thick bushed along the edge of the beach
