The skinny, brown patched tabby she-cat hummed to herself as she danced around - she was off MoonClan territory, on neutral ground near SpringClan territory with a few cherry blossom still covering her pelt after a few twirls. At first it was just to look at the pretty flowers because damn life was stressful. and the she-cat liked to fill her days or rather forget them by overloading her sense with catmint and fermented berries. With leafbare coming up she just wanted to decompress and enjoy a day before the cold season came and took away her favorite forget-me-nots. She still acted likt a new warrior even though she was a good year or more past that mark and by cats years meant she should've been a responsible adult who knew what she was doing and all that. Instead she realized a lot of adults didn't know what they were doing and now, she was one of them as well.
Lilysoul promised to make her way back before anyone noticed but in this moment, she laid on her back and cloud-gazed until she saw a funny cloud. Why that looked just like - man if only someone was here to see it...
"You look lost, but I promise I won't tell." The voice sounded from behind, and soon enough a rather pretty snow bengal she-cat appear from behind some brush. Her flanks were adorned with beautiful streaks of paint, SunClan paint. It was ornately drawn, and very much integrated with the patterns in her pelt. Her vibrant green eyes showed no signs of aggression, just curiosity. "But it is an odd place to get lost..."

'Actually it looks a lot like...' an interrupting voice set the she-cat on fire with alarm, breaking her train of thought and her oh so carefully built-up immersion with the land.
"HOWLING!" she jumped, sitting up as she registered the voice but not so much the words or her words for that matter. Oh, she must look so dumb right now "It uh- I- ... it looks like a wolf howling..." What did she say? What was odd or was lost? "There's uh," she cleared her throat, "nothing odd going on here - why are you here?" she turned the tables with the skill and efficacy of a twoleg saying 'oh how the turntables..' and it was just as painfully awkward to watch as it was to listen to.

Raystrike couldn't help herself. She just burst out laughing so hard that she started pounding the earth with her paw. "Sun God above, who taught you talk? I swear a donkey would made more sense!" She cracked up. "Oh my god! Lemme guess! Your name's Donkeymouth! Yeah, that's it." She settled down. "Anyway, I'm on my way back from my job. And you are?"

The she-cat would was trying to point to the cloud above, gave up as she lowered her arm and look of shock quickly fell into one of an eyeroll of annoyance. She just waited for the other to stop laughing, only to grow increasingly embarrassed and insulted at her made-up assumed name.
"I- No! It's Lilysoul!" the brown patched tabby snapped, "and I happen to named after the greatest big sister ever." she tried to calm herself through gritted teeth although stubbornness and getting defensive were two of her biggest flaws right along her short-temper clearly inherited from both her parents. She seemed to huff and look away in frustration as her tail lashed beside her.
"And lemme guess, your name is Laughingdonkey?" she returned the assumption with more and stronger mean-spirited gusto as if she was already thinking of a something meaner she wished she could say. Normally she had to bite her tongue with clanmates but outsiders? Pfft! She'd let out that pent up frustration, especially to a natural enemy like a SunClan cat.
"Such a nice try for such a pretty face, but no." Raystrike was practically the inventor of the frustrating or angry nickname, she did not let herself become prey to her own poison so easily, especially on such a ridiculous attempt. "Seriously, you couldn't stand to even come up with something unique? You talk like a donkey and are as smart as one too." Her eyes glittered with amusement and lacked any of the malice starting to cake the other feline's voice.
"Anywayyyyyy, what brings you here? It's not to often you find a shadedweller out in the Sun like this, hmm? What, did the wittle night become too scary?" Again, she had not malice. Raystrike was just always one to poke and prod.

Lilysoul seemed to flare up with annoyance and rage tht took the form of offended huffs sounds and said,
"Oh, but you say practically the same thing and somehow it's not absolutely sad? You just called yourself pathetic." She dared to entertain this 'argument' but being petty and easily angered was her forte. But just why was this she-cat so calm and her eyes... they just had this cool, casualness about them that was so off-putting for what was clearly an attempt to start a fight. Wait maybe that was it - this was probably just to provoke her to fight or get her to chase her and get Lilysoul in trouble somehow.
/ ...did the wittle night become too scary? / The tabby she-cat had narrowed eyes and just stared at her with a 'are you serious?' look. "Oh no, I am not doing this." She made up her mind and turned on her heels to walk straight away, leaving behind a small clump of catmint and cherry blossoms she had started her day with. It was nice while it lasted but she just went from one stress to another.
"Relax, I'm just trying to have some fun. No need to lose your cool like that." She never realized when she took it too far until something like this, or worse, happened. She grabbed the herbs she left behind and bounded up in front of her. "You don't wanna give a SunClan cat like me free herbs, do you?"

She had half a mind to just ignore her and keep walking but darn those flaws of her egging her to have the last word with this infuriating she-cat; she stopped and turned back,
"Go ahead! I picked them at dawn and those blossoms were already fallen anyways!" she didn't care when she saw the other cat indeed pick them up and turned back, continuing to head home without noticing her following. At least, until she was right there in front of her again to which she sighed heavily and rolled her eyes. She didn't really care about this cat but she did kinda hate SunClan, that kinda was her clan's thing and a little bit on a personal note too.
"Right, and please tell me what those herbs are used for" she was being a bit condescending but this cat deserved it if she really thought some pretty blossoms were any loss to her aside from a whimsical one. Although, she guess she did want the catmint - it wasn't much and she was now glad for slacking off in the morning for that but it wouldn't be a big loss to her. In fact if it were any other clan she'd even happy to just give them away, but leaf-bare was coming soon and she could be petty if meant she could get 'back' at this she-cat. Come to think of it, she still didn't even know her name...
"How the hell would I know what these herbs are supposed to do? That's what healers are for. " She snorted and dropped the leaves at her paws. "I don't waste my time with flowers and bile and all that kind of stuff. I have talents that lie elsewhere." She smirked and snatched up the catmint. "But I do know that this stuff is important. If you eat enough of it, you're gonna have a great time for a little bit."

Lilysoul waited a second or two, fighting her urge to snatch the catmint - instead convincing her paws to hesitate and then just happen to glance at the cherry blossoms before nonchalantly pawing the herbs towards herself to pick them up with a sigh like she supposed she couldn't let them go to waste. She scooped up the only long, connected strand of blossoms with her claws and tossed it behind her ear for safe keeping predicting she might still run her mouth at this unsavory she-cat. She didn't need the whole clump of flowers but dang it, they made her den smell pretty!
"Yeah eat enough of it, that totally won't backfire when you kill your elders and kits in leaf-bare because you wasted it" she continued her own mean streak. "Oh whoops, I should've kept that to myself" her deadpan sarcasm heavy on her tongue, "but as a healer, even I can't stand aside and watch one dumb warrior be the reason why Littlekit and Cutekit back home don't grow up to be warriors." It was a little bit of 'the pot calling the kettle' but for one, this cat didn't know that and second, as previously stated thought of inside Lilysoul's head: she knew better than to waste herbs in tough times. Maybe it was telling herself it was proof she had self-control or just knowing she couldn't live with the guilt if she did waste valuable resources in tough times.
"There's a time and place for that debauchery, and if you're so weak-willed then at least go dig through twolegs gardens for whatever of their withered plants is left than waste something so potentially life-saving." Putting her own attitude aside, she didn't know why she told she-cat the tip about twolegs gardens. I mean, it was something she did in order to not waste her clans - make the long travel where their clan rarely picked from and while the quality was poor as the plant died with the season, something was better than nothing. She knew they wouldn't be that good for whitecough, or greencough but if you gathered enough of them then she had learned a little trick that required some hot water to make a tea out it. She had only done it once before just last leaf-bare in fact. (oh i just gave myself idea our ladies need to make catmint tea later down the road :u )
