Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
This was a very important task that Destinypaw had been given. Of course, the newly promoted apprentice had no doubt that other older cats would also have a big part in shaping Sunflower's transition, but she was happy to know that her mother trusted her enough to be a point of contact that was a little less daunting than the other members of SunClan. It was her very youth that made her the perfect candidate for a welcoming committee: she was warm and friendly so completely non-threatening, yet strong in her beliefs.
The apprentice fiddled with her paint slightly, before padding over to where she had been instructed to meet the initiate. She offered a kind smile when she saw the other, quickening her pace. "Hi there! I'm Destinypaw, and I'm gonna show you around a bit today!"
A bright smile slid along the face of Sunflower. Her thick coat made her look more round in the face, and her whiskers gave a delighted wiggle. "I'm Sunflower, but you probably already knew that, huh?" She gave the smallest of laughs to herself before she stood to her paws, her tail tip twitching eagerly. "I can honestly say, I'm a bit excited to see the place and learn how things work here. It seems as if everyone here is rather close and tight knit. I've always wanted to be a part of something bigger.." She mewed, perhaps giving a little too much information to a cat she had just met. Feeling a bit embarrassed, she pressed her lips together, falling quiet.
"Nice to meet you, Sunflower!" the feline meowed with a bit of a purr in her tone. She glanced at the other, studying her for just a second. "That's good to hear!" she meowed after a moment. "Hopefully, I'm able to clear some of that stuff up for you. I've been studying real hard since I was promoted!" There was a bit of a sing-song quality to the she-cat's voice as she smiled. "I'm sure you'll fit right in with just a little bit of practice. The Sun God must have brought you here out of all places for a reason, right?" Destinypaw was nothing if not a devout follower of SunClan's religion, and was convinced everything happened exactly as He planned. "Do you have any questions right off the bat about how we do things here?"
Sunflower couldn't help but regain her smile at the she-cat's eagerness to teach her and follow the ways of their sun god. Her ears twitched a little, and she gave a slow nod. "I think I'm really full of questions, but I am unsure where to start or how to even word some of the questions I have. Perhaps.. maybe you could show me around and explain things as we go? Maybe it will be easier for me to ask questions that way." The she-cat suggested sheepishly.
