As all of you may or may not know, MoonClan has a revamp coming up. So in order to prep for this, we have a few plots coming your way! In this one, the City of Ash is going to become inhabitable. It'll start with a patrol going in to the camp to questions why some Mundane scents have drifted well out the City of Ash. Let's get started!
@dot paoCleaveruniqcrimstealthybirbashestoashesShadowbladeღJadie @ash Ravenstar like the believing leaders before him, was but an instrument of Selene's will. He served her, even in her silence. He protected the code that she gave to them... and could not tolerate when certain cats violated it. Well, anyone. But today he was focused on the Mundanes. Multiple cats had reported that they wandered outside the City of Ash. Very few had sightings... but the scent trails were easy enough to put together. It ended today. His hostility could not have been misinterpreted: the patrol entering the City of Ash looked more like a battle patrol than anything else. Cats flanked him to his left and right as the City's residents peaked from their dens. The dark Maine coon's eyes scanned the decrepit city. "If you live in this dump, then come out!"
Twilightveil took his sweet time getting to his paws. He had been curled up in the burnt out car and was, as always, trying to sleep. He was beginning to have successful naps every now and again which gave him an extra spring in his step, although at the moment he'd been awake when Ravenstar called out to him.
"Whaaaaaaaaaat," He began with a yawn, then cleared his throat and tried again, "What do you want, Ravenstar?"

Father and son tabbies were among the patrol with different length fur and demeanors telling them apart. Long ago, not just seasons, but entire season cycles ago a younger Syndrome-enigma and Daylight/Asphodel fled their birthclan for MoonClan. Mere hours after kitting his mate died in service to MoonClan fighting SunClan, specifically to Foxstar. It was a time before Mundanes or Downworlders were even a thing, not that anyone could doubt the deep roots of loyalty that dug in since then of the little family; it still left Syndrome-enigma in a position where he was aware of how lucky he was to be 'grandfathered in' and their kits - well it was all they knew for the most part. "Heh, did we wake you?" Syndrome-enigma exhaled a casual chuckle at the sight and sound of Twilightveil.
In contrast, Enigmaheart looked like he didn't care where he was or why he was there, that was simply not his concern just that the matter was dealt with so he could get on with his day. He might not have considered Mundanes beneath him per say but who was he to question it? While he was usually on friendly terms with most, there was something different about him today; between their similar personalities there was still a subtle distinction that put the two toms on different wavelengths.
Spacevoyage approached the Consul's right side. His gaze passing over the burnt out cars as he pushed through the crowd of shadowhunters. He was looking for all of the cats that lived here. Mentally taking a head count and fully prepared to go drag the sleeping cats out of their shelter. The kinder smile the Inquisitor had shown the residents of the City of Ash several days prior was lacking on the tom's face. His lips were curled up in a cruel sneer.
Losteden felt fearful wondering if she was the reason for the sudden battle party. The scarred ginger tabby left a burnt car cautiously. Careful to keep her son Fogkit close to her and to place herself in between the Shadow Hunters and her child.
Fogkit stuck close to his mother's side. Peeking from out behind her. The strong emotions from the battle party rolled off in waves. The young elemental wasn't able to filter through all of the emotions or shut off his power. The pain in his head was beginning to start in a dull throb and growing more noticeable as the time passed.

The Consul's cold gaze swept the gathering cats. "We've found your scents outside of the city. You all know the rules... and you willingly disobey." He made sure to stare directly at Twilightveil, but some of the other were just as guilty. "That cannot stand, and it will not. Up until now, us Shadowhunters have left the prey near the City alone. Not anymore." He paused. "Anyone caught outside the City will be punished. If we catch you outside, then you will get three days of solitary confinement. If we catch you hunting outside, then you will have five days of solitary confinement with no food. Understand?"
Solitary confinement doesn't sound so bad, Twilightveil thought, but decided it best not to say that out loud. He wasn't trying to give the young Consul an aneurysm. So, he'd play along, same as he always had.
"Do as you will, Ravenstar," He said flatly with no emotion in his voice or on his face. He'd always been a hard cat to read when he wasn't trying and impossible when he was, "Do you have any more announcements or can I go back to doing nothing now?"

Syndrome-enigma had a waning, friendly expression that had to lessen with the mood, although a slight brow quietly called into question if this was really needed he didn't voice it out loud. His personal beliefs or opinions didn't always need to line up with what his clan overall was doing, he was stuck in a neither-preventing-nor-enabling limbo, although it did matter to him when he was actively participating.
"Wait," The seemingly spaced-out Enigmaheart turned to the cat next to him and quietly mumbled "If they're not allowed to hunt does that mean we have to feed them?" his tone sounding annoyed if that was true. His father in ear-shot almost face-palmed at hearing he was so clearly not paying attention to something that affected more than just his free time or duties, instead pretending to swipe a paw over his forward to mask the small disappointment. He'd have to have a talk with him after this - surely all parents had the misfortune of raising a mini-hellion-version of themselves.

He held his head high, refusing to let their indifference get to him. They'd come around soon enough. He ignored Twilightveil's comment. The Maine coon never understood that tom... he was always looking for a fight. But his own shadowhunter's comment did catch him a little off guard. "No. They will do it on their own, within the City of Ash. But they can't go outside." He practically growled out the comment before returning to look at the City's residents.
In this distance, some raucous noise could be heard. The source remained unclear.
The noise sounded out of place in the forest. The noise caught the Inquistor's attention and pulled it away from the situation in front of him. He pulled his gaze away from the City of Ash residents. The sneer on his lips had melted into something close to a frown. His lips pursed into a thin line as he looked towards the sky and surrounding forest trying to find the location of the sound.
"Wow, a lot's going on," Twilightveil commented as he turned his head toward the suspicious noise, "Ravenstar, you'd better send some of your Warriors to go check that out. I'd go myself, but..." He paused dramatically, long enough that one might assume he wouldn't continue talking, then added, "Eh, I don't feel like it."
A micro aggression to be sure, but that was the game Twilightveil always played with the MoonClan leader.

/ No. They will do it on their own / "Good, cause I wasn't gonna..." Enigmaheart mumbled before keeping quiet again, effectively just standing there and looking pretty which might just be all the tom was good for in this situation as nothing constructive was coming out of his mouth. Even when a noise in the background disrupted their conversation, he got serious and analyzed the conditions right along with the others.
"What is that?" Syndrome-enigma quietly asked. He was more careful of any situation looking concerned but also wondering if this was somehow tied in to what was going on now- He wished he could find Twilightveil antics humorous right now if it weren't for the more pressing matter...
"I can go check it out." Enigmaheart finally spoke up again, just enough for those next to him hear because even if he needed the Consul's and Inquistor's permission he was already set on being on the front-lines to find out and find whatever it was. He already decided, when staring around wasn't going to get him answers and it clearly being in the distance they needed to move fast and now. Curbing this one's enthusiasm -if it could be called that- was just a daily challenge.
Spacevoyager tipped his head towards Ravenstar. "Would you like me to take a small group to go investigate that?" The inquistor whispered as not to frighten their clanmates. He flicked his tail in the direction of where he thought the sound was coming from. "I want to make sure its not going anywhere near camp. Whatever it may be."
Seeing that the MoonClan cats seemed to be done annoying him, Twilightveil stretched, yawned, and jumped back up into the burned out car to try and get some rest.
