Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
He sat up and threw his head back in a mighty yawn. His large head and ears proved heavier than the scrawny kit expected, and he nearly tumbled backwards from the momentum. Just in time, Tenaciouskit caught his balance, then shook his head and flattened his ears to the side of his head, greatly embarrassed. He hoped nobody saw that... he had a hard enough time as it was.
Rising to his paws, he stumbled from the den on long spindly legs and promptly wiped out in the entrance to the nursery.
“Are you okay Tenaciouskit?” Skykit asked head turned from where she’d been scratching her ear with her back leg. “I heard you make a heavy thump,” she said lowering her paw and getting to her feet going over to him. Whiskers brushing by him gently letting her know where he was before pulling back to a more comfortable distance.
Great, someone had seen... or rather, heard. He struggled back onto his paws and looked at her, embarrassed. "Yeah, I'm fine," he mumbled. "Just, uh, tripped a bit." He felt like a fool. What kind of cat couldn't walk on their own four paws properly?
Skykit winced in sympathy. "I get that, I trip and bump into stuff a lot." She said gesturing with her paw to her cloudy blue eyes. "The whole blind thing keeps me from being the most graceful unfortunately, but I'm getting better."
Skykit sighed heavily, "It's more that cats seem to think that just because I struggle a bit, that somehow means I can't do things... and then they don't want me to do anything." She huffed. "Which is not fun at all."
Specklekit looked dubious. "I mean... don't take this the wrong way, but can you do things? It must be pretty hard, not being able to see your own paws. How are you supposed to hunt if you can't see your prey?"
(wait wasn't it Tenaciouskit? Or is Specklekit piping up as well?)
Skykit frowned, "Though I can't see, my ears and nose work just fine." She said. "It'll probably take some getting used to and all, but I'm not helpless. I can learn. I can adapt, and I will. I'm going to be a great warrior." She said lifting her chin.
Skykit chuckled, "Yup, makes sense, with your senses." She said lightly reaching out a paw stretching it forwards and booped him gently on the nose. "Don't discount them, they're very useful all together
