Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
This was an outrage. How could one clan really keep two clans captive, and force the members to join them? Force them to abandon their beliefs in StarClan for some fake deity? It perplexed Turbulentkit, it angered Turbulentkit... and he wasn't just going to sit by and watch this happen.
The little tom looked around the nursery at the other kits, none of them seemed to have even paid any attention to the news. Didn't it bother them? He sighed, slipping out of the entrance and towards the exit of NightClan's camp. If the adults were not going to do anything to free the captured clans, he would.
He wasn't sure exactly what he was going to do, but he couldn't sit here and do nothing.
Soaringbird had gone out to be with Rasputin earlier that night, so Skykit and her littermates were being watched by Duskwing, but the she cat was much more relaxed with them. She didn't sit by them and watch them with eyes like a hawk. Instead she was chatting with Greykit and Rasberrykit, and the other kits seemed to enjoy interacting with her. But Skykit wanted to do something. Not sit and listen to stories.
She was batting around a moss ball, trying to get better at orienting where it was by scent. And she was starting to get good... until she hit it too hard and it flew out of the nursery hitting Turbulentkit. Skykit darted after it scenting the air for it as she went and almost crashed into Turbulentkit when his scent hit her and she skidded to a halt stopping near him. "Whoops, did I hit you?" She asked. She could smell her moss ball, and it was near Turbulentkit so she fixed sightless blue eyes in his direction. Unbeknownst to her her eyes were actually looking just above his shoulder.
"No, Skykit. You didn't" he replied as the other kit came tumbling out of the nursery. He looked over her carefully, his eyes narrowing. It would be helpful to have another set of paws, but Skykit was blind... would she really be helpful in rescuing DayClan and SpringClan?
"Are you busy right now?" he asked her suddenly. Most cats would say that he wouldn't be able to help either, so he wasn't going to hold her blindness against her.
Skykit blinked and scratched at her ear with one of her hind paws. "No, why do you ask?" She asked, then she perked up and straightened up. "Are you going on an adventure? Or secret mission?" She asked excitedly.
"Yes and I need your help" he purred as he looked the other kit up and down. "Have you heard about what is going on in SunClan?" he questioned
He closed his eyes and he could almost see it. Two clans being held captive, kits being torn from their mothers, cats being murdered in the name of a false god. I twas sickening. He couldn't just sit here.... He needed to do something, to make some sort of difference.
Skykit cocked her head. "A little." She meowed wrinkling her nose. "Mother doesn't like to talk much about it." She said. "But from what the warriors have been muttering and stuff... it sounds bad."
"It is terrible" he added looking down at his paws."THey have captured two clans, and are trying to force them to turn away from StarClan using dirty tricks and threats" he paused and tilted his head.
"I just can't sit here any longer. There are a lot of cats out there that need help. I know we are just kits, but surely we can do something about it. Even if it is just a little something... It would be a step in the right direction"
He didn't have any idea exaclty what they would do when they would get there, but anything was better that nothing... right?
Skykit nodded resting her tail on his shoulder, she missed once but then got it resting it on his shoulder. "We'll go help! We'll think of something. We could like, I dunno make an appeal?" the blind silver gray tabby suggested
"Something, I thought that maybe would could sneak in and pretend to be DayClan kits. Then we could help get some of the kits out of there. Maybe we could hide them here in nightclan?" of course the chances of this happening were slim, and they would be putting themselves in great danger. Even if they were some how able to make their way to SUnClan, and even if they were able to blend in with the captured kits, there was no way they would be be able to get them to safety.
"But though that'll help us get in... how will we get out?" Skykit asked tilting her head. "SunClan will take us readily, but they won't let us leave. and we smell like NightClan, surely that'd draw some suspicion."
She sighed and mulled it over. She didn't even know where to start, her ears drooping at the realization.
Turbulenkit shrugged "I don't know, but StarClan will guide us" was his firm reply. "We can always disguise our scent, and Im sure that we can find some way out of there. Those kits have no where to go, no where to run. Rumors are that SunClan takes them away from their mothers, to raise them to believe in their SUn God instead of StarClan. StarClan won't stand for this, our cause is right"
He didn't have all the answers, only a burning desire to help those in trouble. StarClan would surely see his mission as rightous and protect them.
Skykit couldn't imagine being stolen away from her parents and raised in a cult. So she nodded her agreement. "Right. StarClan will light our path." She straightened up head and tail held high, sightless blue eyes filled with determination. "Let's go onwards!" She declared trotting off in the direction of the entrance before pausing. "Wait we shouldn't go out the entrance... maybe we should use the dirt place to sneak out?" She asked slipping back by Turbulentkit.
"That would be a good idea" of course Skykit was right, if they just went out the entrance someone was sure to stop them. The dirtplace was a good place to sneak away from, and no one would question why they were going there until it was already to late to stop them.
He took the lead, letting his whiplike tail gently touch her shoulder to guide the sightless she-cat. They two of them would work togather to do this.
Skykit knew the way to the dirtplace, but as they traveled it was likely to get difficult with her being unable to see the obstacles ahead. So she allowed Turbulentkit's tail on her shoulder. This would be her first time going out of camp, so having a guide the first time wasn't a bad thing necessarily. It was just giving her a bit of a support so that way she could go out of the camp. And it'd give her a better idea to get acquainted with the forest and how to work with it.
He looked around carefully as the entered into the dirtplace, but it looked like there were no adults left. He spotted Lovepaw finishing up, but he soon left as well. "I think we are good" he whispered.
He led the way out the back, making sure to keep alert for any signs that they had been spotted. As they emerged from the bushes, the forest extended out before him. It was beautiful and overwhelming. He looked over at his companion "I wish you could see this. I have never seen anything so beautiful"
