Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. The not-so-long awaited deputy try outs! If youve ever wanted to take part of an innovative clan this is the place.
Swiftclan is a largely family oriented, once-nomadic clan that has a ton of space for creativity. Currently we are becoming more traditionalist (think og warrior cats canon) in ways of running the clan and all, but once we'll be adding and reimplementing some fun stuff.
*We have an awesome staff and do like to communicate via discord but it isnt a requirement for those trying out*
We do use google docs to edit the information such as cats and plot info on our clans page, if youre not comfortable with it were willing to teach (again we have awesome staff)

Cat and Bio: Breezestep Kits die. It is a tragedy of life that the young are injured, sick, mistreated, and perish — but it is an injustice that it happens so frequently. She’s watched bullies descend on her friends, seen kits torn from their mothers far too early far too often, witnessed the brutal murder of her nieces and nephews; felt the agony of her own sons taken from her side and pressed into service before their time. No more. It was her silent vow, made in the quiet of the night as she fought back her grief for her lost sons for the sake of her remaining daughters; it is the anthem that hardens her heart. Let the kits of her clan become victims no longer. A lithe feline of grey and white patched silky fur, her slender frame has filled out since the birth of her litter, just as her green eyes have become lined from stress and exhaustion, and the black tip of her ear shorn with ivory. She was born to Radon and Cruz, two she-cats experimented on by twolegs, to a litter of four, and her brother Muddypelt became a spy and then a leader, only to be overthrown with his kits taken and murdered. She recoiled at the image, horrified, especially when her own were due to be born shortly after, and prayed they would be safe from such cruelty. Her mate Creekghost was the cursed son of a medicine cat and crossed clans to be with her, where his work drove him into obsession. She balanced on the edge, terrified of the future and desperate for the support of her distant husband until the birth of their kits united them once more. It was not to last. Solsticestar smiled as she stole away her sons moons before they were set to be promoted, taking Pondpaw as her own apprentice and forcing the unwilling Firepaw to become a medicine cat, and Breezestep discovered there was room in heart to loathe another cat. She set out to become the protector of kits and a loud opponent to her leader, even as her son pleaded and threatened her for it. When their clan was destroyed she fled with her family to start over, and it worked: her son found himself a new home in SwiftClan, a new family, and one by one her kits returned to her side. Breezestep is fierce, unapologetic, and easily angered. She is a sweet and kind she-cat but injustice has hardened her and she will not tolerate it anymore. With their new warrior code, the clans have agreed to take better care of their offspring, but she isn't going to rest until every one of them is safe. Sometimes strict, always vigilant, Breezestep's moons of experience had prepared her to tend to the needs of her clan, and perhaps it is time she takes on a bigger rule in protecting them. Her clan is her family, she is the mother of their kits, and she will not let any more perish.
How does your cat feel about starclan/the warrior code? Breezestep believes that StarClan exists, but she doesn't trust them an inch. StarClan cursed her husband; StarClan left Solsticestar, her cruel former leader, unchecked. She will grudgingly give them a second try now that there is a new warrior code, but she's not happy about it. The code she loves, though: it addresses many of the problems she had in the past with the young cats of their family being abused and finally allowed medicine cats like her MIL and son to have a family.
How would your cat get along with Heavypetal? I could see their relationship working in one of two ways. First, his quiet nature might mean that they have a strong working relationship but never grow close as individuals. Maybe he'll correct her if she's being too strict, too authoritative (overstepping), or if she's making a lot of mistakes, and she'll be a bit suspicious that he might turn to the dark side and become a bad leader. Conversely, maybe their differences will bring them together, and they'll become close friends, comfortable spending quiet meals together without too much forced small talk, and generally trusting each other. She's had a challenging life and has a lot of experience to offer, but also is bringing with her some unresolved hostility.
How would your cat get along with medical staff? Firetooth is Breezestep's daughter, and Fawnpaw her granddaughter. Breezestep would love working with them and generally trust them to handle most matters of medicine without her input. When they disagree, it might cause some conflict -- she trusts Firetooth, but as his mother, she thinks she's still the ultimate authority, and it will take some for her to accept his expertise. Fawnpaw is young; does she really know best? Beyond that bit of trouble, I think they'll get on fine.

Seriously, I will not let myself buy bread while I'm at college anymore because I can and will eat most of the loaf before I finish the 20 minute walk back to my room. It's just so good. Any questions for us? Just to clarify: does SwiftClan still move around, or are they only living in a single/camp territory from now on? Also, I'm sorry for using someone related to half of the staff xD If it's a problem or not in character for Heavypetal, I'm happy to use someone else, I just thought she was the most interesting option. C:
Cat and Bio: Meadoweyes;; The spitting image of late Violetstar, leader of WaterClan, who died giving birth to Meadoweyes and her siblings. Meadoweyes grew up without a motherly figure, and the closest thing she had to a father was Chimerastar. The tom had served as her mother's deputy almost her entire leadership, and it was said that the two were quite a funny pair. Violetstar had been able to get along with any cat, it seemed. Chimerastar, was rather different. He was grumpy, even in the upbringing of Meadoweyes. He tried to avoid her quite often, but he failed, because she was persistent, just like Violetstar. Meadoweyes was so much like her mother in every way. She had the same beautiful tortoiseshell coat, and soft violet hued eyes. Her personality was identical. Kind and compassionate, loyal and brave. Though don't mistake her kindness to her clan as the same with those outside the clan. Meadoweyes can be territorial and protective of her clan, though it's only out of love. Once she trusts a newcomer that's been wlecomed into the clan, they're her friend for life.

How does your cat feel about starclan/the warrior code? Heavily follows it. However can break it if she feels it to be morally right. How would your cat get along with Heavypetal? Meadoweyes can get along with any cat. It wouldn't be hard for her to become friends with them, especially since she can befriend even Chimerastar. (She gets it from her mom xD) How would your cat get along with medical staff? Refer to answer above!

I actually don't know the answer to this question. I have this weird struggle where I like something for a while, and suddenly it no longer has the same great taste? Right now I'm on the avocado kick! Any questions for us? No! I recently returned to the site, and when I came back, SwiftClan was here! It reminded me a lot of WaterClan, but it also seems special too <3
Cat and Bio: TUSKBLOOD "People think we're evil? Do I look evil to you?" Stalwart to the point of fault at times and gruff in nature, there is a thin wall between those pale eyes and whatever they desire. She's beastly and holds a presence of independence and pride well. Imagine a sunny field of daisies so delicate and beautiful they could make any cold heart sing, and in the middle there is a boldly off-putting pile of nettle just waiting to catch your paw? That's your picture of Tuskblood. Her name is Tuskblood for several reasons. First, her strikingly monstrous appearance. While she has a way of carrying her self that gives her a raw, rugged kind of beauty, there is no escaping that underbite. Two ivory, pointed teeth stick out from her lower jaw, and her muzzle is a bit flattened to make way for them. Her build is that of a smaller lion. Thick bands of muscles run down a big-boned frame, giving no doubt of her power. Long, dense ebony fur covers those muscles, adding to her size. On her strong-jawed face are two pale green eyes that almost appear to be judging at all times. No doubt, she is fearsome-looking. Many believe that she harbors a number of secrets about past battles and murders. She does not reveal whether those rumors are true or not... However, despite her rough nature, Tuskblood has a chaotic good soul. She is fierce in battle, yet compassionate to the point of sacrificing herself for her clanmates. She is not scared to voice her opinion and make known her desires, and she is fairly stubborn, but she is always considering what is best for the clan. Her desire is to create a prosperous, thriving army of cats who do not fear anything except for the bond of their hearts to be broken. Is she awfully prideful? Not necessarily. More like, she knows that her personality and appearance is abrasive enough to usually get her way. That being said, she does value alliances with the right people. They have to fit the mold she desires. Now, on to her past. Tuskblood found Summerclan when she was about the age of an apprentice. Some members traveled through her stronghold's territory while on a quest. At that time, there had been a ruinous battle between her little tribe and the neighboring tribe. What those Summerclan members stumbled on was a scene of grief. And there, in the rubble, was this young cat. She was now orphaned and horror-stricken. The group adopted her as their own and gave her a new purpose. She managed to meld together the religion and code of the strongholds to that of the warrior code. While she still has a connection to her ancestors and their beliefs, Tuskblood has always embraced other religions and clan life in general. Honestly, they are not that different. How does your cat feel about starclan/the warrior code? This is mentioned in her bio as well but Tusky has her own ancestors and beliefs that she was born believing in. However, she does believe in Starclan and that they watch over the clans much like her ancestors did her stronghold. She has some concerns with the lack of respect for the clan ancestors, but she keeps those concerns to herself most of the time. Ancestors are incredibly important to her because that was instilled in her when she was young. The warrior code is also something she appreciates. They had a code of conduct they followed in the strongholds so the warrior code is a familiar set of rules for her. There are some key differences in the amount of...violence allowed, but she has respect for the code and will attempt to follow it even if she gets it mixed up with her own...on accident.
How would your cat get along with Heavypetal? I wouldn't call them fire and ice, but maybe fire and water? Tuskblood has a very abrasive nature which contrasts with Heavystar's more quiet and calm, so I think she would be a good "layer of the law" when he needs one. She has a lot of respect for those above her and is a natural mercenary so I think she would like him, but will sometimes either try to push him to be more assertive or she'll end up taking on a lot of the more strict duties thinking that she's helping. He may need to remind her to step back at times. It's not that she will overpower him, but that she'll take on too much and doesn't allow for introspection and self-care. I think Heavystar could even awaken a softer side of Tuskblood that she isn't expecting and they could become good companions and a power pair in leadership.
How would your cat get along with medical staff? I think that Tuskblood's relationship with Fawnpelt might be a learning and growing experience. She will feel the need to protect her, which might in turn in to an unhealthy over-protection or end up following her every wish to the point of frustration. I feel like I would need to rp them out to see which direction their relationship would go haha.

Whats your favorite food? Why...? Buffalo sauce. I know it's not a "food" per se but I was going to say buffalo chicken and then realized buffalo sauce could be on anything and I would love it. Right now my current obsession is buffalo chicken ranch pizza. Why? I am not sure what the addictive properties of buffalo sauce are but I'm convinced that it is as addictive as sugar. I crave it every week and end up planning it into my meals oops. It's magic in a bottle and paired with ranch...ahh.
Any questions for us? No questions I just wanted to say that I know I'm not the most ideal choice because my activity has been low in the past couple of years. If it says anything, I have managed to stick around that whole time haha. To say that this year has been one of grief for my family would be an understatement. I haven't been completely open about everything going on in fear that people would think I'm just making excuses, but it really has been tough. I'm finding myself now with a lot of extra time in the evenings, though, so I'm hoping to reawaken my love for rping again. I always miss it. Maybe this is oversharing and I definitely do not want pity or to be chosen out of pity. Either of the other choices here are fantastic people and friends so I know y'all can count on them! I just want a chance to start over and thought I would wing this. There are absolutely 0 hard feelings if I'm not chosen and I'm willing to work up my rping to a point where choosing me seems more reasonable in the future haha.
