Being a prisoner was, well, boring. The fluffy white she-cat lay in the semi dark den, grooming the dirt and dandruff out of her fur. When the former kittypet had crosses the border looking to join winterclan, this wasn't exactly what they had in mind. How did her being a prisoner benefit the clan? They had to feed her and she did not contribute. All she was interested in was learning the ways of the clan. She'd even renamed herself and this is what she was met with. It was more disappointing than anything else and the other prisoners didn't exactly seem to be forthcoming. She huffed in irritation.
Limelight's life was not going according to plan, and her father's reassurances did little to ease her fury, even if he was trying his very best. She sat listening to him until she could take it no more; then she excused herself, smiled at him sweetly, and pranced across the camp to the prisoner's hole in the ground. Looking after the prisoners was a boring job, they were ratty and gross and she didn't want to be around them, but it was the only way to get some time alone.
"New girl," she called, peering down into the hole with disdainful amber eyes. "Crawl on up here, I'm taking you for a little walk." Glancing sideways at the cat posted on guard, she assured them that her orders came from the very top.

She paused what she was doing to look up at the she-cat who called out to her. The cat held herself with dignity and importance and she had to wonder what this was about. But, it could be a good opportunity to make a friend and work her way out of being a prisoner at the very least. "Where are we going?" Rimeswirl asked curiously as she stood and approached the cat.
Limelight narrowed her eyes. "Does it matter? You wouldn't recognize it." She turned away to brush against one of the guards, muttering "geez, why do these prisoners think they have a right to know anymore?" in his ear before she strolled toward the exit. Not once did she look back; if Rimeswirl knew what was good for her, she'd follow at the warrior's heels and beg for mercy.
She liked the sound of that. Limelight tucked the idea away for later.
"Oh, do keep up," she drawled, ears pricked to the sound of the she-cat's paws. "I wouldn't want someone thinking you came out here alone."
