Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Littlepaw blinked, staring forward from their perch in one of the pine trees. They were officially on their first assignment. They had met with Dragonpaw the night before to create the first of many plans for... whatever it was that their training partner was planning. They still weren't entirely sure. Perhaps it was a bad idea, then, to have Littlepaw start the recon missions. If they were only half-sure of the mission objective, shouldn't Dragonpaw be the one trying to recruit new members to their gang?
Seawatch wove between the trees, his dark tail swishing as the siamese warrior continued his hunt. He had a good haul so far, two mice that had caught by surprise, but he was looking for a third piece of prey to round out his collection before he headed back to camp. As he surveyed the camp, his eye caught on fur between the trees, and he turned sharply. Instead of a squirrel, there was something else in the tree... was that a cat?
Littlepaw looked slightly surprised that they had been noticed. Their gaze narrowed slightly; maybe they needed some extra practice at the whole "hiding in plain sight" thing. The leader's niece let out a soft sigh, before shifting so they could make eye contact with the cat below.
They offered a sheepish half smile, their eyes studying the cat closely. "I'm observing the clan," they meowed with a passive shrugg. "There's no greater vantage point than the top of a pine tree, right?" Littlepaw then blinked. "What are you doing down there?"
"I'm hunting." His pale gaze narrowed as the warrior recognized the cat above him. Observing the clan was strange, doing it from high up even more so. What was there to see from up there that was so important to them? Frankly, it just sounded like an excuse to waste time; but Littlepaw wasn't his apprentice to control, and if Aspenstar wanted them to slack off, that wasn't his problem.
"Let me know if you see any prey from up there. I've been looking for a squirrel."
"Hunting. Right. That's something cats do." They meowed with a nod, flicking their tail. "I'll join you, then. I think I saw a rabbit off that way," they meowed with a gesture of their tail, before leaping down a little less than elegantly. Littlepaw landed with a flop, the tiny cat letting out a grumble as they got back to their paws. "Lead the way."
