Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
SunClan is hosting a masquerade ball, with a twist.
1.Cats attending the masquerade ball must take on a fake name for the event. Over the course of the thread you are not allowed to say your cats real name or nickname in your posts until the end of the thread on X date. You may give hints and physical descriptions. The character's identinties will be revealed on September 4th. 2.When you reply to this thread, you will appear as anonymous, In order to make it more difficult to guess what character you are interacting with and who role plays them. Going along side this, if you are bringing in multiple characters only post one character per reply.
3.Cats must wear a mask and body paint. These can be as elaborate or simple as you want them to be, but the goal is to use this to hide your character's identity so that your cat’s personality may shine through. You may use the paints and dyes to change your fur color, but obviously you will be unable to change their eye color.
4.The day before identities are to be revealed a google form link will be posted for 48 hours so that you can attempt to guess who is who. Fake name = real name. The more cats you guess correctly, the more points you will gain. So use your time in the thread wisely to interact with others and ask the right questions.
5. This is mostly for SunClan cats. However, cats that have connections to SunClan may also sneak in. Please limit yourself to 1 character that is not currently in SunClan though to make it fair.
6.Please do not look through people's contributions to figure out who posted what. That goes against the spirit of this challenge.
7.The winner of this challenge will be given a mystery prize. Something I'm sure you won't want to pass up :3 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The scene was set
The sky a mismatch of pinks, purples, and blues as the sun began to sink below the horizon. The ball was being held in the forest near SunClan's camp, the trees creating eye catching silhouettes against the sunset sky. Flowers had been carefully arranged throughout the clearing, vines with color flowers hung from them creating a sort of canopy for the ball. There was a massive pile of fresh-kill for everyone to enjoy, carefully prepared by the clan's warriors in advance. The masquerade ball had been arranged as a bonding experience for the cats of SunClan, to create stronger bonds between them. To often SunClan cats put to much emphasis on their looks, but tonight the playing field would be evened. Tonight everyone was an equal.
Stripes of gold rippled down his sides as he moved, deep orange spots jumping beneath like fireflies, his entire coat painted a silky black. As he stopped to examine the vine arrangements, he reached up with one paw to adjust his mask, an ornate arrangement of flowers, and pushed it further onto his face. "This better stay on," he laughed nervously.
Rockslide strode into the camp, his chest puffed out and adorned in large splotches of orange. "I'm here," he began joyously, then stopped as he saw the camp was empty. Hm.... oh, right. The event was in the forest. He turned and trotted back toward the forest and emerged to find the massive prey pile was calling his name.
Of course she wasn't going to miss this event. No not a chance, the small, now dark furred she-cat shyly entered the scene. Nervously adjusting her mask as her eyes scanned the sea of strangers before her.
Taking a deep breath, he wove through the crowd, his head turning from side to side to take in the other cats. There was a cat by the vine arrangements, by the prey pile, and a she-cat entering on his left. He decided to head her way and stopped in from of the dark-furred cat. "Uh, hello," he greeted. "I'm 'Longleg' today." Longleg had reddish painted fur with black stripes. "It took me a while to come up with a name... I couldn't choose something obvious."
She swayed into the place with that rhythmic walk of hers. Swaystep was decked out in her best with beautiful colors of paint along her body but her face was masterfully hidden behind a mask that looked like a fox. Her eyes looked around seeing so many other figures out and about but couldn't guess who any of them were. Same could be said about her as well. Swaystep had done well to disguise herself for this gathering. Now, who was she going to talk to?
The small cat, turned to look at the tom walking towards her, that was evidentially called 'Longleg' a soft smile on her expression. Relaxing a little she let out a sift chuckle at his introduction. "You can call me 'Briar' I couldn't think of anything better" she confessed. "At least you still have a proper warrior name."
Unfamiliar with SunClan’s decorative customs and lacking the necessary skills to replicate them, Widowsgrave had gone for a simple look. She’d covered herself entirely in deep blue body paint and painted down her back and sides with glittery silver stripes, making her look like a queenly tigress. It could have looked silly, but it just made her look incredibly pretty and mysterious, like an untouchable ghost. It especially suited her blue eyes. She’d adopted a slightly different personally to suit her look as well. More regal. “Widowsgrave,” she introduced herself to Swaystep. “Charmed.”
Longleg was pleased to see Briar relax. It was strange for him to know his clanmates were so close but not recognize them; now he was at least making a friend. Perhaps it was someone he already knew. “I like Briar, but it isn’t too late if you want a— a full name. Like Briarsplash.”
She took a deep breath, excitement rippling through her small body. She had been debating whether or not to attend, but finally decided to go for it and have fun. She had painted herself with beautiful swirling blues and blacks to hide the pelt color underneath. Her mask was made of brambles and adorned with beautiful violet flowers. She had been careful to remove anything close to her eyes but it complimented her features and her eyes well. Tonight, she was simply going by the name "Creek." She took a deep breath and entered where the masquerade was being held and so far only a few cats had arrived. Most were in pairs chatting, so she approached the only cat by themselves who seemed more interested in the prey than the event itself. "Good evening, my name is Creek. At least for tonight." She greeted Rockslide sheepishly.

The she cat looked around not really sure whom she should try to talk to. Swaystep paused and stretched slowly as she looked around to see who would be of interested to mingle with.
