Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.

"Some days I wake up I just wanna hide under the covers 'Cause no matter what I do I'll never be like all the others I'm a little O.D.D Most people really don't get me I'm the girl in the back of the class Blank stare, don't care, don't ask" - "O.D.D" by Hey Violet » closed, Jadie : friend thread « I like the idea this still when he's Reapingpaw before the ceremony so she's a little more blindsided by his personality before she starts to think he's 'too mean' to be around less he rat her out having adventures and cross-clans friends too lol
Oriolelei hummed to herself as she skipped through the territory chasing a butterfly momentarily before it flew to high and she lost track. Duties done, the rest of the day pure free time and she wasn't gonna hesitate to take it. Staying in camp could be pretty boring unless she was gossiping with the right cat, or making googly eyes at a certain tom but she couldn't just do that 24/7! Everyone especially her needed a little adventure every now and then, or in her case every day. She glanced around and noticed a figure in the distance making her stop to investigate who that charcoal grey tom was just to make sure it wasn't some wandering outsider.
Reapingpaw was a small tom, at least, from the WinterClan perspective. Off the mountain he was just slightly below average but compared to the giants in his Clan he pretty much looked like a dwarf. As such he grew up to be a cat who constantly had to prove himself just as good as everyone else and today was no different.
"Oriolelei, right?" He asked as he approached the she-cat. Up close it was clear that Reapingpaw had run into some kind of trouble due to a bloody scratch on his nose, "Perfect timing, I need you to help me kill something."

Oriolelei ever so the dramatic one put paw up to block the sun, squint her eyes and stick her tongue out a little and to the side as if that magically helped her see better and concentrate.
"Oh! Reapingpaw!" she lit up with a smile at the allied clanmate, and reversing the past few actions and meet him half way. She had a big dumb 'dude how you been?' and all-smiles-and-sunshine attitude as usual till she noticed the scratch and changed to concerned. Before she could even say a word he was already recruiting her to kill something.
"Uh, kill what?" perhaps a smarter answer would've just been a 'no' but she seemed to forget that was a word in her vocabulary sometimes.
"I've found a mink's den and trapped it inside, but the damn thing is a lot harder to kill than I thought it would be. I want you to drag it out and hold it still while I break its neck, that's all."
Minks were uncommon but natural enemies to cats. They were smaller but full of anger and unbridled rage and known to kill cats on numerous occasions. To make matters worse, they ate the same prey that cats did, meaning that having one on the territory wasn't only a hazard but less food for the Clan's stomach. In other words, Reapingnight's cause was a respectable one... but typically handled by a full patrol of adults, not an apprentice and one Warrior.

Oriolelei's mind seemed blank as she both processed and visualized the request made and trying to determine the likeliness of getting her paw bitten off by the thing.
"Uh, how do I do that without it like, biting my face off?" she requested details not having the answers herself. The request made sense, the simplified plan was a starting point but she just wasn't hearing any actual plan to go with it. And she's wasn't known for making battleplans her self or really her fighting skills all that much. She very rarely, if ever got brutally vicious and even then it was usually an anger and drive for someone else than just casual fighting.
"So I do I just like, stand here and wait or-" she wasn't exactly saying no though, and had in fact some famous last words that usually tended to cue the enemy at a time like this.
"You can do whatever you want," Reapingpaw replied, his back to Oriolelei as he led her further up the mountain path. The scent of mink was growing stronger now; they would be there soon, "You're a Warrior. Surely you've been trained on getting animals out of their dens, it's like the first thing I was taught as an apprentice. You don't need me to review if for you, do you?"
The dark-furred tom was bluffing. He had no idea how to get the mink out of the hole without losing a toe, that's why he'd recruited help.

"I am not a fan of pop quizzes, I'd really like to take that review" she said but moved forward anyway to join him for support, and even try to be just a pawstep in front of him and slightly diagonal ready to jump in a defensive stance that was to get in-between Reapingpaw and whatever danger mink or otherwise, that may come at him. Near-warrior or not, he was still technically an apprentice and she the warrior making it duty to protect that already naturally aligned with her default priority. "I mean, mink like in or out of water? Assuming we have time - any fish or rat, doesn't even need to be whole and that's including using a rig to ensnare it." What would be the fastest and reliable method to use? It had her brain rattling about something she had really thought about since training.
"Seriously!?" Reapingpaw hadn't expected the Warrior to to ask him of all cats for help. He'd been hoping to bully her into quiet submission, not teach her a proper lesson, much less a lesson he didn't know anything about! Oh well, so long as he wasn't the one sticking his paw in the hole he'd still have some kind of control, "Ugh, fine, so the best way to get a mink out of its den is closing off all but one exit. You make the one exit seem safe when it's not then kill it when it bolts. But it takes a few cats to do it properly and there's only two of us. So in this case I think it's best if you pull it out of its den and I can dispatch it before it has a chance to try and run or fight."

( o o f I am so behind in threads so sorry)
"I don't tihnk this plan was fully thought out..." Oriolelei wasn't the sharpest crayon in the box but even she knew doing this plan with just the two of them was rather dangerous, especially for her. "Are you sure, you don't wanna go run and find help? I could stay here and watch it if it moves. I mean, how am I supposed to pull it out without clawing my face off? Or if I try to scare it out, what if it just sits there and stays defensive?" Unfortunely for Reapingpaw, she was actually asking questions for once, for safety's sake. It's easier when there aren't other warriors around to judge you. "Can I at least take a leaf or stick with me, for shielding or something?"
(it's fine me too xD I've been at this all day and I'm still not caught up...)
"Sure, take a stick or a rock or whatever you want, just pull the sucker out," Did Oriolelei not get it!? The more cats that helped, the less credit Reapingpaw would get for such an impressive kill! He'd known patrols who had done this with just two cats and, yeah, they came back with considerable scratches, but that was why he'd asked the Warrior to pull the vermin out instead of himself, "Just hurry up. I want to bring it back to camp before the sun sets!"

(hopefully we can get faster at this then lol)
The tortoiseshell scooped up the closest stick that wasn't very long or big for protection's sake but it was something. She looked back uncertain to Reapingpaw who was of no help for her concern and preying on her good nature to just go with it. She slowly got closer to the tunnel/den where it seemed to have been in, stick clenching in her jaws as she entered. It was a quiet moment after she entered until
"Ooooga Boooga! Ahhh!" the she-cat made loud noise, stomped her feet to sound larger than she was and while banging the side of the stick on the wall did nothing she did that too to scare the mink out.
(not sure what outcome you would like for the plot's sake)
