Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
on this episode of nightclan : a horrible storm ravages through the territory. what happens next? guess you'll have to tune in to find out ;)
Another crack of lightning rippled through the sky, louder this time. The wind had begun to pick up, and the leader was starting to look a bit concerned. She'd been watching the sky most of the evening, the dread in her stomach getting a little stronger with every roar of thunder. She had a bad feeling about this. She couldn't explain quite why . After all, storms were not uncommon, especially in the late summer heat. Still, she couldn't help but shake the idea that this was not going to be good.
The mismatched eyed leader rolled her shoulders, before leaping onto the leader's rock. If her intuition was right, the clan needed to make emergency preparations...
Larkspur awoke to another crack of thunder, startling her from dreams she'd been having. She noticed the empty nest beside her and padded out, finding her leader ready to make an announcement of sorts. She hurries to the spot at the bottom of the rock where the deputies stood, embarrassingly grooming down her messy from sleep pelt.
The small cat's blue eyes scan the sky, a feeling of foreboding settling in her chest. This wasn't good. The fur along the back of her neck prickled with unease.
Foxheart lay there sleeping peacefully when all of a sudden she was awoken by the call of her leader. she sat up still tired as she stretched. she already saw cats walking out towards the rock so she got up and was about to pad out until she noticed...the rain. "ofcorse it has to be raining" she though to her self as she finally paddes over to the rock. she sat down quite upset that she was woken up and that shes getting wet. "this better be good" she mumbled under her breath.
Aspenstar blinked as her deputy fell into place below her, her head tilted to the side. "As you all can perhaps tell," she started, her gaze transcending back to the sky for a brief moment, "the storm tonight is supposed to be bad. My intuition says that we should be prepared for the worst." Was Aspenstar's intuition the most reliable? Perhaps not, but the only cats who knew that about her were in her inner circle (she'd have to throw up later at the idea of her brother being in her inner circle).
"As such, while it is only drizzling still, we need to reinforce the camp. Any cat who is able should work to fortify the walls. We'll have to weather this one out, and I think this will be the best way."
Squirrelleap nodded the tom rising to his paws ready to take action. "We'll need to be prepared, there's a lot of body of waters to be concerned about. Especially the cenote close to our camp." The tabby tom noted.
"Should we get some prey? Stock up so we can hunker down and wait it out?" Stealthclaw asked. "After all, if we're at risk of inclement weather the prey may be as well. It might be a good opportunity to catch them before they get into trouble and then are left to become crowfood."

"Do we have an escape plan?" Pinesimmer hated that he was cooperating with Aspenstar, but apparently there was a first for everything. Well, so much as he could really get along with her, which naturally included insults. "Or are we just going to fortify and hope it doesn't end in corpses? I can heal a lot, but not everyone has the lives to spare, you know."
Aspenstar first turned to Stealthclaw, offering a nod. "That would be excellent. Lead a patrol, but make sure that you are back before the rain picks up too badly. We will need all hands on deck if the worst comes to pass," she meowed with a nod, motioning Skunkpaw over. The young tom trotted over diligently, before Aspenstar spoke again. "Take Skunkpaw and whatever others that you can find. Remember, prey is not worth putting your lives in danger." Jetclaw
She then turned to her brother, her eyes narrowed slightly. "Still doubting my abilities, I see," she meowed with narrowed eyes, not that it surprised her much. "I genuinely believe that this is the safest spot for us," she then continued, glancing around the Cenote. "If nothing else, the chance that trees fall is negated almost completely. That being said, if we have to move, we will move." Her tail flicked across the ground in agitation, for once not directed at Pinesimmer, but rather the situation at hand. "I need you to have a go bag ready, something that you can carry herbs in already packed. Larkspur," she called, motioning her deputy closer to where she and the medicine cat were speaking. "Whatever happens tonight, your job is to make sure we have a safe exit from the camp." Honeystormseeker

"Doubting, making sure you don't forget something important, call it whatever. You have lives to spare, probably, but the rest of us don't." Pinesimmer rolled his eyes, but gave a slight nod. Duh, get the herbs. Even still, at least she seemed to listen to his words, so he couldn't complain to much about that. "Need me to pack your crown too 'highness'? Since you seem to think I can't figure out what's needed on my own." He added in sarcastically, though honestly, that was such a silly insult it barely counted.
The she-cat nods once, her eyes bright with worry. The wind howling made it difficult to think, so she was grateful she had one thing she'd have to focus on. Larkspur rolls her eyes at Pinesimmer's antics before bounding off to find a way out. She eventually finds somewhere, a small hole that a couple of cats could squeeze through. the weather outside of their regular entrance looked eerie, and Larkspur didn't want to put her clanmates in danger through that direction.
