Valeray just barely, barely, scraped by without getting thrown in bootcamp at this point. Probably because he stole others’ kills to pass off as his own, and was good enough about it that he didn’t get caught. Or at least, he hadn’t yet, as he set down ‘his’ catch on the freshkill pile, turned, and slipped away without a word so he could go take a nap or something somewhere, his duties for the day ‘done’ if he had any say about it.
Gosssamer Alessandra had heard the stories about the tom's fraud. After all, she figured part of her job was to stay informed on all of the latest gossip - you never knew when it would be useful! If she was any good at her job, though, perhaps she would have scolded him when she caught him in the act. Instead, the sentinel let out a thrilled purr. "Well, well, well, look what we have here!" she meowed with a grin, "Someone who likes to play tricks!"

Of course, the Scout turned to look at Gossamer with a not-so-concealed glare. "I don't know what you mean." He answered bluntly, "Don't you have Commander Shule, or one of the auxilaries, to bother?"

Gossamer Alessandra let out a hearty laugh. "I actually did have a meeting with Commander Shule for the expressed purpose of annoying her early today," she meowed with a tip of her head. "But no, last I checked, the rest of the day is totally free. Which means I want to know all about this ," she meowed with a gesture of her tail. "Not to get you in trouble or anything, don't worry, I'm not a narc, I just think it'll be entertaining."
"Get lost. I would like to spend the rest of my day as I please, not dealing with someone like you." No respect for the former Commander from Valeray, it seemed. Not that the tom was much nicer to anyone else. It was fairly clear to just about anyone how much he detested being a Scout.

Gossamer let out a laugh, before rolling her shoulders slightly. In a swift motion, the tom was on the ground. Goss didn't fight often, but when she did, it was with the speed of a viper attack. Before her opponents knew what was happening, they were often on the ground, thanks to her signature swipe your feet right from under you motion. "Now, now, Valeray. There's no reason to take that tone with me, mm?"

"And there's no reason for you to be here, but it seems we're both being disappointed today, aren't we?" Valeray snapped, wriggling from his place on the ground. The amount of curses he practically shouted at her would have been enough to make a sailor blush.
