A calico paw dipped into the sparkling pool, creating a ripple of lights and water with the slightest of movements. Koi had seen such a thing a hundred times before, but never here. Never in the forests. The stench of city streets and two-legs clung to his fur, a clear sign that he was not from around here. The idea of different scented cats went way over his head though. Clans and groups meant nothing to him. He only cared about the water and the fish. So when he smelled the scent of another cat approaching him from behind, he sent them a friendly smile over his shoulder.
“Hey, what would you call this? A lake or a pond? I can never remember what the difference is.”

With a jaw full of an array of small flowers, Patchlily paused. Nose giving a small twitch at the odd scent that wafted between the aroma of floral between her teeth. An acrid reek of the city and its two-legs burned. Moving closer as quickly as her short little legs could carry her, the garden keeper finally spied the source. He seemed to have saw smelled her coming as well. Setting the flowers delicately on the ground, Patchlily regarded this stranger with her minty gaze. The question was equally as strange, didn't he know he was trespassing.
Even so, she stretched on her toes to peer around his shoulder. With a furrowed brow she finally spoke, her soft voice breaking the silence. ❝A pond I would think. Um...just what are you doing here? This land is SummerClan territory, if you didn't catch the scent.❞
