White fur glimmering beneath the mid-day sun, Eclipsingmoon walked alongside the clanmates assigned to patrol the border with him. They’d only been at it for a while and really there were far too many cats for the job. If he broke off from the group, he doubted anyone would notice let alone care. The idea was all the more tempting when he considered the she-cat only a few steps away. He could definitely make room for her if she wanted to tag along.
Sending her a charming but devilish grin, Eclipsingmoon moved until his pelt was brushing against Eveningrose’s. They’d been spending more time together lately so he doubted she’d mind. Even if they were strangers, he doubted she’d be mad about receiving attention from someone as handsome as him. “Hello, my flower. Am I the only one thinking this patrol’s dragging on? Wanna slip away with me and enjoy the day?”
Eveningrose, missing left front leg and all, was always a happy-go-lucky kind of cat and that'd only gotten better as she slowly was falling in love. The two, Eveningrose and Eclipsingmoon, had grown close over the last few days, and now she knew she was falling. Before it'd just been an attraction to the handsome tom before that changed into her crushing on him and hard when he started showing her some attention and affection. How many cats wanted to deal with someone romantically who only has three legs? Not many.
So when they'd been put on the same patrol together this morning she'd blushed and grinned and happily tagged along without a single complaining on the large group or the early hour. Who would complain when you were crushing on a handsome tom who was a part of your group? Definitely not the smitten Eveningrose. "Of course!" The morning was still young, and they weren't likely to be missed, especially not on a patrol this large. Blushing, she stepped to his side, tripping a little over herself in her hurry to get to his side. Her blush only worssened from that, but her smile never faltered.
