Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Kicking things off with the Fight Nights! Character stats can be viewed on this thread. Each character may get an Advantage (adds +1 to that roll) or Disadvantage (-1 on that roll) on certain rolls, based on their stats. All Staff get 50 HP and use a D10 die for all rolls. All Warriors get 40 HP and will use a D8 for all rolls. All Apprentices have 25 HP and will roll with a D6. A coin flip will determine who rolls first. Every first roll will be for attacks; the dice decide how many points of damage are dealt (those with an Advantage or Disadvantage in Defense will take +1 or -1 point of damage respectively). The other person may then roll for a dodge (if the dodge roll is higher than the attack, after all advantages/disadvantages are applied, it is considered successful). If a dodge fails, they will take half the damage from the attack roll. First to hit 0 HPLOSES.
Aspenstar (@ian ) | 50 HP | +1 Advantage to Dodge Rolls | -1 Disadvantage to Attack Rolls | Heads Phantomfox (woof ) | 50 HP | +1 Advantage to Attack Rolls | -1 Disadvantage to Dodge Rolls | Tails
Coin flip result: Heads. Aspenstar rolls first!
Of course, no better way than to start things off than to have NightClan's venerated leader, Aspenstar, face off against the Captain of her Loyal Guard. The event was simple--the last one standing wins--and there was only one rule, one that Phantomfox was forced to apply: No excessive force, especially after the match ends. It just wouldn't do to have the clan killing each other; best to leave that to Primal Instinct and anyone in Pinesimmer's vicinity.
The tall chocolate tom stood across from his leader in the area they'd cleared especially for his fight nights, silver gaze tracing her stance and watching out for her first move.
Aspenstar blinked twice. If nothing else, this evening would prove cathartic; after all, there was nothing quite like stretching your muscles to distract you. She had a lot she needed to be distracted from, and frankly, Phantomfox was at least three of the things on her list. Getting a chance to spar with him would help blow off some steam, right?
The cats that gathered to witness the fight's incessant chatter came to a stunning halt as the leader opened her jaw for the first time. "You best not try any funny business. I know how strong you are, don't you dare take it easy on me." Phantomfox was to fight her like he'd fight anyone else, something she had made abundantly clear when he approached her. She was smaller, more compact, but she didn't need his charity, not in front of the clan. "Ladies first," she then purred with a wink.
The leader was fast, her body lurching forward with almost no warning. There was one thing that her size gave her the advantage on - she should easily be able to out maneuver him, even if she couldn't out fight him. She was agile, which meant her first move, which involved leaping at his back legs to destabilize the fat lump of fur's weight, should have landed with ease.... dun dun dun
