Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Singedwolf had not laid out a plan for how to go, but he had certain ideas in mind. He would do some hunting, a patrol if he was assigned, and spend his night eating dinner far away from the rest of his clanmates. He had no intentions of dealing with any other cats. He had no intention of finding a kitten.
Yet as he hunted, he came upon not a squealing mouse, but a kitten. A little over a moon old, bright-eyed, and fluffed up. She hissed him first, curious, then relaxed and bounced closer, rubbing around his legs and purring.
"Oh Singedwolf!" Softpelt poked her head out from behind a bush. With Fawnheart gone and the flooding now forcing the clan out of their camp for the moment, Softpelt had been doing her best to step up.
She was about to continue cheerily engaging the tom when her gaze was drawn down to the kitten that was purring and rubbing against his legs.
"That's... that's a kitten." She noted a bit dumbly blinking. "Where did it come from?"
For the first time in his life, he was almost happy to see someone.
"It came from the bushes," he replied stiffly, "and I want it to go back there forever. It won't leave me alone. You know how to remove kittens, right?" Singedwolf was tempted to just kill the thing, but he'd been told that wasn't so acceptable in the clans these days.
