(im guessing this was about a year ago if the reincarnation of her just turned a warrior and of course shorter than however many years ago she died so she has this time to get through to him and be a ghosty cat lol)


He knew it was possible to die from a broken heart and that was all the more reason he couldn't handle thinking about it. It's like from day one he never let himself properly grieve and that only made it worse. How could death even be possible, for something so full of life and part of his life to be gone like that? It was soul crushing, and impossible to get passed and somehow he had to numb the feeling, choke on the lump in his throat and try to forget about realizing what happened, and focus on what was gonna happen to their kits and clan. Forget the sun god, goddesses, starclans, and what have you cause they clearly didn't know what they were doing, and he didn't know what stars she walked and thought it insulting if she was anything less that the ruler of those stars who were now at her mercy.

But where was she? He wanted her to visit, but then again he didn't know if he could handle it either. His dreams were heartbreaking these days, not nightmares just her and that's what hurt the most. From the very first dream with her they played out the same- reliving all their memories but halfway through it he would remember, the voice in his head telling him 'something not right', 'daylight you'd tell me if anything was wrong right?' and 'shes not suppose to be here is she?' to desperate 'i can change this i know i can, daylight please trust me we have to leave, i know she's going to hurt you please'. Her expressions never wavered even in his dreams, as if she thought he was joking, no she knew was dead since she met that fox-face curse and it would be by her hand but even if she was okay with it he never could be. It made him hurt all the more to wake up day after day feeling he failed her over and over again. But those weren't her, just memories of her that made his guilt-ridden on top of his already doubt in faith ironically made him block out the very thing he wanted- to see her again. It almost made him regret not finding a way to marry in SunClan, where the young Bonnie and Clyde started it all, just so they could both end it all together. Almost.

This dream was an old memory alright, that day he napped in SunClan's camp and the distracted beautiful mess of a she-cat. That day when she stepped right on him. That day he bit her ear, and went from the peace before the storm to apocalypses so fast and then just as quickly settled so quickly. That day he fell hard in love with her.#throwback
However this time it was the SunClan camp perfectly recreated in his memory untouched by time only this time completely empty like a ghost town, population 2: the tom lying on his back staring at the eerie blank sky and her ghost. The only sound apart from the wind was a soft mumbling voice.

Were left turns on the way"[bmth] He was breaking script, even raised a paw in the air to trace imaginary clouds that weren't there but this was always one of his favorite memories and it put his soul at peace just like that, as calm as the morning that day started for him and daze by the lack of awareness all dreams started with and for once he didn't want to realize it, just let the dream play out, just let him have his memory back, just let him have her back.
