CALLING ALL SCOUT CADETS! Shule is taking all the Scout Cadets & Havilah on a mandatory morning run in the rain. If you're unsure what Cadet chars you have, just check the page! c; racerCleaverashestoashesuniqcrimJadie
Commander Shule didn't always have time to interact with the Cadets, which was why it was Havilah's job to ensure they were keeping up on their training. However, sometimes, she did actually participate. The Cadets had been notified the night before that they were going to have a special morning routine with the Commander, and some of them were likely excited.. unless they'd ever heard of her training style, or the regimen she kept for herself.
Such Cadets who actually knew what Shule was like in training wouldn't be surprised by the fact that when she arrived, before dawn had even hit, she expected them to be standing straight and tall, at attention. After all, in a way, this was also a surprise test of Havliah's teaching, whether these Cadets were properly disciplined.
Of course Southpaw was awake long before the commander arrived, actually quite excited to finally meet the commander of the Renegade Regime. She knew next to nothing about Shule, other than she was the leader and for some reason other cats seemed to be afraid of her. It was probably just an exaggeration though, like the stories her mother told her about the monsters that turned out to be way softer and cuter than they were made out to be. At the very least she had made herself presentable. Her long silken coat as clean as newly fallen snow. She was used to waking up warily because of her time in SunClan, so truly it wasn't that much of an inconvenience. When the commander entered, she rose to her paws with a big grin
"GGGOOOODDDD MMMOOORRRNNNNIIIINNNGGG CCCOOOMMANNNDDDEERRR SHULE" the peppy she-cat greeted cheerfully, at least she hoped that is who this cat was or well... that would have been awkward. She pranced over, tilting her head from one side to the other with curiosity "You don't look like I thought you would. Aren't commanders supposed to be like super cute? Your kind of... well not"

Sierra was standing as he was meant to, in line with the other Cadets. At least, the other cadets SHOULD be to either side of him, he kept his head straight and didn't actually look to see if they'd followed their training. East... was not. No amount of screaming or anything could stop him from taking something leftover from the freshkill pile and eating it when Shule showed up. It was abundantly clear that the two from SunClan were just not up to snuff. Of course, maybe one wasn't surprised when Dusky was raising the two...
Commander Shule, of course, was taking no excuse. She knew they weren't adjusted yet, but that didn't mean she could be especially lenient. This was training, and to live in the Regime, one had to shape up. Her gaze turned to Southpaw, cold and rather unwelcoming. To the Cadet, the three perfectly straight scars across the leader's chest were probably disgraceful, as she didn't know they were a symbol of the Sentinels, if the Sentinel chose to prove their loyalty by adhering to Regime tradition, anyway. "BACK IN LINE, CADET. JUST WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING?" By now they HAD to have been told this, she didn't think Havilah was lacking quite that much. Which meant they either didn't pay attention, or didn't care. Bad for them, either way. "YOU TOO, CADET EAST. GET IN FORMATION."

Southpaw blinked, not quite expecting to have the other cat start yelling in her face for a simple good morning "Someone woke up on the wrong side of the nest" she giggled, her front paws raising up to her ears to help cut out some of the volume of the other cat's voice. Most of the cadets were probably shaking by now, but to Southpaw all the yelling just reminded her of grumpy senate members "Fine, fine, I'll get in line but first you have to turn that frown upside down!!!" she chirped cheerfully, her paws falling to the ground "After all, no one likes a grumpy pumpkin" she added, shaking her head like she was the one that was disappointed
"Don't you know that when you you are grumpy, you make every one around you grumpy to? I don't think that is a very good way to start a training session. When I'm grumpy momma makes me go be myself until I'm ready to come back with a better attitude. Perhaps you should go back to you den and take a few deep breaths? I'll get you a stress ball if you want one. It feels great to tear the moss apart when you are stressed"

Shule didn't give Southpaw another warning, instead she stepped forward, grabbed the she-cat roughly by the scruff, and outright dragged her next to Sierra, plopping her down beside him, and then doing the same to East who complained loudly, her expression only growing colder as she stepped back to address the pair. "IT SEEMS YOU TWO NEED A REFRESHER ON THE RULES. YOU DO NOT SPEAK UNLESS SPOKEN TO. AND IF YOU ARE ASKED A QUESTION, YOU SAY EITHER 'YES COMMANDER' or 'NO COMMANDER' AND DO NOT EXPLAIN UNLESS ASKED TO. YOU DO NOT EAT UNLESS TOLD TO. YOU DO NOT BREAK FORMATION UNLESS PERMISSION HAS BEEN GRANTED, AND IF YOU NEED A REFRESHER OF HOW TO STAND AT ATTENTION, TAKE A LOOK AROUND AND DO IT. DO YOU UNDERSTAND, CADETS?"

"MY FUR!" Squeaked Southpaw, already breaking the formation as she worked on trying to smooth her coat back into place. What ever the commander was yelling about went in one ear and out the other, as she worked on her coat. Only catching every other word of the long spiel. Something about rules and talking and questions. Attention? She thought she heard that word some where in there, but she really had a hard time listening when people were yelling. She usually just tuned them out until they lowered their voice a few decibels
"Oh... were you talking to me?" she asked innocently, really not sure if that was a case even as the other cadets answered with a strong 'yes commander' "I would apologize, but really you should be apologizing to me for ruffling my pelt. That wasn't very nice of you. I spent a lot of time grooming it this morning so that I could meet you this morning, and you just ruined all that work. If you keep being so mean and rude no one is going to want to be your friend anymore and even commanders need friends" she could feel the warm breath of the commander's on her face, as she scrunched up her face
"What have you been eating? Your breath is so stinky. Do you have a rotten tooth or something? Momma said that If I eat to many sweet things it will rot your teeth out, so be careful. I think dad said that their is a tree branch you can chew on to help with bad breath. Here, let me take a look!" Southpaw didn't hesitate as she stood up on her hind legs to lift the commander's lip up off of her teeth

Southpaw was going to regret speaking immediately as she suddenly found herself off her paws, face squished directly into the ground, her limbs held in place such that she couldn't escape even if she wanted to. Commander Shule was nice enough to not be very rough, so the she-cat would be spared from everything except maybe a very small bruise or two. The Cadet's pelt however, was now in direct contact with the dusty ground, and Southpaw had a great view of Shule's comparatively pristine white paws, that seemed to gleam in perfect cleanliness despite walking around all day. "This is not SunClan, Cadet!" Her voice was still loud, but not quite so much as before. However she seemed to be growing increasingly cold and unforgiving, most certainly not doing any of the things Southpaw suggested. "Throw out everything your parents told you about how to act in a clan, because it doesn't apply here. In the Regime you do your part, or you go hungry. Obedience isn't optional, it is MANDATORY, and you will be punished accordingly. Every action you take reflects on the Regime, and every action here today reflects on the Cadets around you. Now, I ask again. DO YOU UNDERSTAND, CADETS."

Southpaw didn't have much time to think as suddenly the ground was gone from her feet and filling her mouth. She wasn't used to anyone treating her so rough, but really the biggest problem was all this disgusting dirt!! She couldn't get up, but she managed to turn enough to spit the dirt out of her mouth
"EEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW"
Her shrill scream echoed through the tunnels, loud enough to make even the most hardened warriors have to cover their ears or risk them bleeding from the sheet intensity of her screams "DISGUSTING, DISGUSTING, DISGUSTING" she squealed, struggling under the commander's weight but was far to weak to break free of it "YOU MEANY UGLY NO FRIEND MAGGOT EATING DIRT FACE. I'M NOT YOUR BEST FRIEND ANYMORE. FRIENDS DON'T GET OTHER FIRENDS PELTS DIRTY. NO WONDER NO ONE LIKES YOU. YOUR JUST A GRAY SPRINKLE ON A RAINBOW CUPCAKE"

Too bad for Southpaw, but this wasn't going to work. Shule didn't let up in the slightest, she just stood there, waiting for the Cadet to eventually scream herself out. She would tire herself out far, far faster than the Commander would lose the strength to hold her, and besdies, Shule had dealt with Havilah his whole life, if nothing else, that prepared her for this moment.
"HEY, LET HER GO!" Eastpaw finally seemed to noticed something was wrong with his sister, after finishing the meal he wasn't supposed to be eating, and raced over to Shule, smacking on her limbs to try and get her to leg his sister go. Of course, he was a young cat, and not nearly as strong as the leader, so it was a futile attempt. "YOU MEANIE, I'M NEVER SHARING MY NUGGETS WITH YOU, NEVER EVER!!!"
Southpaw was thrashing wildly, kicking up a storm of dust into the small enclosed space. Enough to send most cats into a coughing fit "YOUR FEET STINK, YOU BOO BBOO STINKY DIRTY FACED RAT" hearing her brother join in "GET HER EASTPAW" At least the two siblings were sticking together and fighting for each other. Instead of getting weaker her thrashing only intensified, and if Shule got distracted for even a moment she would be able to wiggle her way out of her hold. It was like trying to hold a cork underwater. Easy and difficult at the same time.

"The more you thrash, the dirtier you make your fur." Shule pointed out to Southpaw, though as far as holding her down went, there was a reason cats like Foxstar and Funk feared her. She was strong, training day in and day out for years to get her body in the best possible shape a cat could have. Moreover, she was a Soldier at heart, which Southpaw was not. She was used to having to be laser focused, even on minute things that didn't particularly matter. Which mean, in this position, even with Eastpaw's help, there was just no getting out, not unless someone else joined their cause. Though perhaps the comment about her fur getting even worse the longer she continued would make her calm down a bit.
"ITS ALREADY RUINED!!! ALL THAT WORK AND YOU JUST GO AND RUIN IT" Southpaws insults and screams turning more into sobs, though she continued to fight hard against the commander until all of a sudden her body gave, unaccustomed to any sort of physical effort beyond walking really. Her muscles incredibly sore from all the thrashing, and she didn't know it yet but she had wrenched her shoulder in the struggle. But now all the anger hadn't disappeared just... transformed.... Now Southpaw was loudly wailing and sobbing, her lips puckered in a pout "YOUR SO MEAN. I WANT MY DADDY..... DDDDAAAADDDDDYYYYYYY" she wailed. It always seemed to work before now. Whenever she got scared she would scream for her father and he would come and scoop her up and give her kisses on her cheek to make everything better

Cadet Seaside watched all this through intersted eyes but said and did nothing. She knew better as she was born here. Well found and raised here. She was behaving herself as an Eerie should. The she cat knew when to be rebellious and when not to be, or at least not to try to get in trouble with Shule around. So she had her back straight, eyes forward, and ready to do whatever Shule told her to do...
....same could NOT be said for Cadet Topaz. Instead the calico had looked over to see everyone leave but she ended up rolling over falling back to sleep. Way too freakin early to be up like this. No one was going to let her lose a wink of her precious sleep.

Commander Shule didn't let up, but did take stock of their surroundings. Havilah hadn't been superior long, but clearly, he was failing in keeping these cats in check. If things stayed as they were, well, the Regime was headed for their own deaths. They couldn't afford this level of insubordination going forward, and she realized internally that she'd been far, far too lenient as of late. Even with Bootcamp, clearly, Cadets didn't worry about what she thought. When she was a kit, her own mother had been demoted for daring to speak out, and these cats were willing to say anything, do anything they wanted thinking there were no consequences.
She eventually did step off Southpaw, using her teeth to drag the she-cat to her paws. "Another thing to learn here in the Regime. Screaming for your parents won't save you. As I said, this isn't SunClan, and your father isn't in charge here."

Southpaw was bawling by the time she hauled to her feet, but now her shoulder couldn't bear her weight and being placed on it caused an agonized scream to fill the air "I'm not playing with you any more meany" she whimpered, clearly not understanding that her attendance wasn't optional "MEANY gave me a boo boo" she turned to her brother, trying to limp away from Commander Shule "Kiss it and make it better?"

"Sienna, go get a Guider so we can get South's shoulder checked out." Shule ordered the Cadet without a second thought, and of course, the tom got up and left to find whoever the first Guider he happened to see was. The Commander was many things, but she wasn't so cruel that she wouldn't let someone get necessary medical treatment.
Eastpaw turned to Southpaw of course, and tilted his head. "Wouldn't nuggets be better?" He suggested, always offering to solve every problem with nuggets. Apparently he was hooked on them.

“But we don’t have chuckle nuggies” she wailed, still not placing her paw on the floor as it hurt to much. She turned to commander Shule and met her eyes directly “Go get me nuggies , and I’ll forgive you for being a meay fru fru fro head” clearly having not learned anything from the whole experience “Help me get clean while we wait?” She asked Eastpaw, not even looking to see what Shule thought of her demands before starting to groom desperate to get free of the filth
Havilah watched Shule work on the SunClan cats with a smirk on his face.
He hated those brats, not just because they were SunClan but because they had positively abhorrent and annoying personalities. He would have reluctantly trained them if the were willing to put forth the effort; however, he refused to spend extra attentions on a couple of Cadets who 1) fought him every step of that ways and 2) would never truly serve the Regime.
"Are you done playing games with your grandchildren, Commander Shule?" Havilah asked, smirk still very present, "Or would you like to test some proper Scout Cadets?"

Southpaw stood shaking out her fur, sending a cloud of dust into the air as she tried to rid herself of it "Do what you want, just leave me out of it. I'm going to go find mom and dad, and get chickie nuggets with Eastpaw" she rose to her paws, running towards the exit HoneystormJadie

Shule hadn't expected Southpaw to be able to get up and run, but she rose to her paws and pelted after the she-cat. "Oh, so you want to get on with training then." Her tone was deadpan, suggesting she knew full well that this was not what Southpaw intended. Too bad for the apprentice, the Commander knew these tunnels better than the young cat, even if the Regime hadn't been there long. "Alright Cadets, follow along, we're going for a run. Follow along."
Big mistake on Southpaw's part. There was a reason Shule went for a run every morning, a fact this Cadet wouldn't know. It wasn't a matter of if she could catch up, but when, and considering she was bigger, more experienced, and knew these tunnels better, that wasn't much of a problem, and soon enough, she was at her granddaughter's side, forcing her to follow whatever path she wanted. "If you want to run, then you run where I want you to run, Cadet."
