Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Mudthistle let out a yawn as the strolled through the Deep Lands, the early morning sunlight peaking through the thick green treetops above. The Red Guard had more or less just been going through the motions lately; better that than think over the recent developments in her life. It wasn't something she wanted to think about. She knew her family was starting to get worried about her, so she left camp early to get the alone time she needed. Ahead of her, a squirrel darted down from a tree and glanced at her, before bounding into the undergrowth. The she-cat let out a sigh. Why couldn't life just be simple and peaceful, like the forest?
Sorrowfularia had run off again. Oops. They weren't exactly supposed to be out in SummerClan, buut, maybe Silverfringe would let it go this time? Ah, probably not. Regardless, the SunClan Janus traipsed over the land as if it were their own, only to just happen upon a Red Guard. The white cat, with their painted on designs, was easily identified by appearance, if not smell as well, as to their origins, mismatched eyes peering at Mudthistle curiously. "Not so alone here after all, am I?"
As soon as the foreign scent hit her nose, Mudthistle was on full-alert; her previous troubles completely forgotten in the face of a potential intruder. Stalking through the undergrowth after them, it suddenly dawned on the Red Guard that the scent was actually familiar, right as the Sunclan tom she'd met a moon previously made his appearance. 'Sorrowfularia,' her memory supplied for her.
"I hope you have a good explanation for being here," She replied, her tone even as she eyed him cautiously. "Didn't you have a mate and newborns that you should be taking care of, instead of blatantly trespassing on another clan's territory?"
"Bold of you to assume I'm not trying to push my mate into a fit of rage. She is most beautiful when she's murderous, after all." Sorrowfularia smiled cheekily. "Honestly, I'm relying on you to make sure I don't end up dead, so good luck. Silverfringe is not the one to mess with, and I've already been on thin ice. But I tried so hard with our family dinner, maybe she'll let me off with a warning?"
Apparently, SunClan cats were insane, since this cat seemed far, far too comfortable with their impending demise. "As for good reasoning. No. Not really. I just thought you reminded me of someone last we met, and as fate would have it, we've been drawn together again."
Mudthistle's expression only grew more confused as the other cat spoke. Why would anyone want to provoke someone else into a murderous rage, let alone their own mate? Honestly the she-cat couldn't picture it anyways; Silverfringe had been a bit overbearing, but perfectly kind and polite when the Red Guard met her. But that wasn't what caught her attention.
'I just thought you reminded me of someone.'
Just like that, the recent discovery that she had tried so hard to forget came to the forefront of her mind. "Let me take a guess," she spat, her repressed anger bubbling to the surface. "I remind you of Funk E'tan, right? You wouldn't be the first. It has recently come to my attention that I'm his daughter, or one of them, at least."
Sorrowfularia's face lit up at this revelation. "Ah, that's what it is, I knew there was something I liked about you. Now, I don't know if you'll remember this, but do you happen to recognize the name Vibrance? Long cream fur, the most mesmerizing of blue eyes." The Janus seemed to be probing, searching for any flicker of recognition in her eyes. It was a long shot, but they did seem to be of similar age, so they were curious.
This...this was too much. It had all been too much lately; finally learning the identity of her real father - someone she had met before, multiple times! - only to find out he'd completely disappeared off the face of the earth, and then she came home, hoping to find solace in her adopted father, the tom who had raised her as his own, just to discover that a freak accident had rendered him completely deaf and forced him to retire from the position that he had based his entire life around. And now...and now...
"Sorrowfularia?" A pause. A memory. Another name. "Skullpture?"
If they seemed amused before, they were downright grinning now, striking a pose with the mischievous look on their face that seemed almost childishly gleeful. "Pleased to make your acquaintance, my dear littermate Ghouliet." Sorrowfularia did a dramatic bow. Ghouliet was the only one that was missing, and as far as they could recall, looked fairly similar to Mudthistle. Or, well, exactly like her, given that this was now undoubtedly their littermate. "Long time no see, glad to finally meet a not insane member of the litter. But I suppose that's what you get as the one of us who didn't join SunClan."
Ghouliet. It felt like a weight had lifted off of her shoulders when Sorrowfularia grinned and said that name. Her old name. Mudthistle still couldn't remember much; flashes of a soft cream she-cat with a loving voice, a mischievous trio of tomkits always playing mean tricks on her, a mid-Leaffall storm, and Graythorn finding her scared, starving, and alone, hiding in a thorn bush. "I can't...I can't believe it...!" she hadn't even realized she had started crying, immediately bounding forward to embrace her long lost sibling. "It's you! It's really you!" Without even meaning to, Sorrowfularia had answered all of the questions that Mudthistle thought had died with Funk's disappearance.
Pulling away, she observed them up-close before realizing what they'd said. "Us? There are others? Are they all in Sunclan?" Had her siblings been there, just beneath her nose, all this time?
"Oh there are, but the most notable one, you probably hate his guts. Not exactly a good thing to be Bloodystar's littermate after all. That would be Vampmyers." Sorrowfularia commented, "Draculad, not sure where he went. Bootiful, she became Marvelstar of MoonClan, haven't seen her in moons. Skellingbee is still in SunClan though. You have quite a lot of nieces and nephews, you know." It was rare to see Sorrowfularia very slightly let down the mischief and seem genuine. But they definitely seemed to be genuinely trying to inform. "Bootiful has at least one kit in MoonClan, possibly more. Bloodystar, honestly who knows. I have two litters, and as I mentioned Silverfringe will probably kill me when she finds me, so I hope you're either convincing, or have enough of that sibling love to give your life for me, because if she doesn't murder me, Littlestar probably will."
"You got one thing right" came a deep growl behind the two cats, as suddenly they were slammed to the ground claws tracing along their throat "I am going to murder you"
The silver queen hadn't even glanced at the she-cat her mate had been speaking to, her fury directed at Sorrowfularia and Sorrowfularia only. The painted beads she had braided into the long fur with feathers beside her face clacking against one another as she sat in the all to familiar position upon his chest. Her fur had been carefully painted in delicate swirls and every time she moved she glimmered like the all so fabled StarClan cats "Then bring you back and kill you kill again" her claws pricked the skin on her mate's long delicate neck leaving a little trail of crimson where she traced "So that you don't miss a single moment of the horror I'm about to inflict upon you for missing our wedding"
Sorrowfularia grinned widely as they felt the telltale signs of Silverfringe's presence, not even trying to run or fight as they were slammed to the ground and threatened. Honestly, the Janus looked absolutely insane. "A wedding? We already had one, you didn't tell me we were having another." They purred, which was true enough. After all, how could they be expected to show for a surprise wedding that their wife hadn't actually informed them of? That seemed like bad form, knowing how slippery the white feline was. "Besides, if we're having another wedding, it would be rude to not invite my sister, wouldn't it. You've already met, but Silverfringe, as it turns out, this is my littermate. Ghouliet, the one that went missing. Ghouliet, this is Silverfringe, my beautifully merciless mate. Isn't she just wonderful?"

"I did tell you" she replied giving her mate a hard slap across his cheek "I told you to meet me at the ceremony springs at Sun High. You shouldn't need a reason" she huffed loudly, though she had told her mate to meet her she didn't tell them why. It was meant to be a surprise and having the whole thing spoiled because her mate decided to sneak off once again was unacceptable, even if he didn't know her plans
"Your lucky I already counted on you doing this, and the actual wedding isn't until sunset so we still have time to get you home and prettied up" she patted the cheek she had just slapped as Sorrowfularia commented about his sister. Finally she looked up at the she-cat standing there staring at them like they were crazy "Oh is she now?" she purred "Then you must come to the wedding, I insist"
"See, and this is why you're the best. You know me too well." Sorrowfularia purred the compliment, still with that insane smile written across his features. "If we're to get going to a wedding though, then we best get to it right?"
They leaned back to look at Mudthistle. "I don't know who all you have here as family, but you may as well round them up for a trek to SunClan. Don't want to miss this wedding, and the chance to meet up with Skellingbee."

"Oh yes I do insist. Bring whomever you like, there will be plenty of food. I even have some attendents that can do your fur" Silverfringe replied kindly, but turning to her mate with a cold glare and leaning down to whisper in their ear "You better not try anything today, or I will shred you and drag you back anyway" she straightened up, attaching a leash to their collar and letting Sorrofularia to their feet
Bloodystar was Myers? Perhaps it was for the best that Silverfringe interrupted when she did; saving Mudthistle the existential crisis of fully comprehending that her brother was one of the most hated cats and wanted criminals in all of the clans. She had only ever seen him at gatherings; so covered in extravagant paint that it had been impossible to recognize him for who he was - it had taken Sorrowfularia literally spelling it out for her to recognize them, after all.
Still processing getting barreled over and watching the mated couple bicker back and forth - turns out Silverfringe was just as much of a spitfire as her sibling claimed - the dark-brown feline snapped back to attention at the invitation and immediately nodded. "Oh! Yes, of course I'd love to come! I have a mate and two grown kits. I'm sure they'd love to finally get to know some of my family. Let me see if I can grab them, and I'll meet you at the border." In her excitement to meet more of her long-lost family, it didn't even occur to the Red Guard that visiting Sunclan, even under new leadership, was generally seen as a bad idea. Regardless, she found her son Grasslizard slacking off and quickly grabbed him, before telling Crimsonlife and Redflame to join her if they could. Whitemuzzle

"Sure, I'd like to meet some of your family," Crimsonlife had told Mudthistle when she told him about her meeting.
"I didn't know you had other family," Redflame meowed. She had heard the story about Graythorn finding her as a kit, lost and alone and figured she was orphaned. And now to hear she had kin in a rival clan, that weird sun worshiping SunClan, she didn't know what to think.
