(I have a personal mini idea that Oriolelei would tell Roseshade and/or Blackpaw she'd like to learn to be a medicine cat/witch from them, but it goes on they realize she doesn't seem focused or to be taking it v seriously when she cant remember the herb they just talked about it. No sign from starclan and seemingly lying what is this she-cat up to? find out!
she seems really interested in Amberbird who unfortunately has no interest in taking another apprentice, but why waste their(Rose/Blackpaw) time?
She had a caught a cold last week, and when she realized it she secretly waited a day or two before going to the Medicine cat den - whatever could get her a longer 'medicine visit' or better chance for second visit to chat him up. Unfortunately, despite trying to learn about his interests she instead learned he doesn’t really like the job of teaching or a medicine cat very much. If she tried to learn from him he might just get frustrated and stressed out and it could sour the relationship before she could even try to convince him how great clan life is and to stay. Her little cough wouldn't last forever either - so perhaps this could get her an excuse to hang around more!
She waited for a time when Amberbird wasn't present and quickly approached to make a move.
"Uh, Roseshade, Blackpaw?" Oriolelei called into the den unsure of who was in at the moment, "I'd like to ask something - unrelated to my cough that is."

Blackpaw had been sitting in the den alone, staring numbly at the assorted crystals before him. Having been forced to take this role for reasons he still didn’t understand, he felt entirely disconnected with everything to do with it. Trying to learn how to heal from Roseshade felt like one step forward and two steps back when all he wanted to do was be a warrior. Still, he wanted to be good at this—wanted to be good for his clan.
As he heard Oriolelei approach, he pried his eyes from the gems and turned an expectant eye to her. Grumpy by default but with nothing against her, he seemed to scowl. He didn’t care if it offended her. “What is it?”

(No biggie, this really is just an excuse for Oriole to interact with her clan members - she's just gonna the annoying she-cat who talks to them like they're bffs because they're around or rather because she's always just around them and somehow that equals friendship in her mind lol)
If it was possible to be blind to other's cats anything-less-than-upbeat attitudes Oriolelei would be the poster child for it and therefore saw no reason why hanging around and bothering these two was a bad idea. Besides she rarely got sick before and hadn't chat them up yet so it was two rocks- uh two birds with a rock, yeah something like that. She'd figure it out later.
"Oh Blackpaw-" she gleamed as she bounded in and over to him happy someone was indeed in. "I have the most wonderful feeling and I'm certain about it -" she boasted before calming down a notch and leaning in a little, almost enough to touches noses with the male, "I want to be a witch and learn about all the medicines. Isn't that exciting?" She smiled big as if nothing could stop her determination; to be neutral and exempt from Winterclan's harsher personality, why she could make friends with all the other medicine cats and beyond under the excuse of serving God of Life and Goddess of Death. Or so it went in her poorly thought out head.

Roseshade was in the back of then den sorting out some her supplies when she heard the she-cat enter. Allowing Blackpaw to greet and deal with them she didn't really look up from her supplies until she stated that she wanted to become a witch "Unfortunately that is not how it works. You can't just study and become a witch, you have to be chosen by the Gods Oriolelei" she reminded sternly
Sometimes she wished it was that simple... She never wanted to WinterClan's with, she was forced into the role by Lord Borealis and Wintrystar.

Blackpaw leaned back at the she-cat's proximity, wrinkling his nose in distaste until he processed her question. So, she wanted to be a witch? It was probably the last thing he would have expected out of her mouth. And more importantly, why had it? Why would anyone want to be a medicine cat? Roseshade responded before he could and he frowned at her quick dismissal. Maybe being appointed to the role was more complicated than what Oriolelei was hoping for, but Blackpaw would have gladly changed places with her any day of the week. Alas, that was just as impossible.
"But maybe she can still help out?" he suggested neutrally. "We can teach her a few things and have an extra paw when we need it. That doesn't sound too horrible..."

"Hmmrow?" the she-cat turned to the new voice in surprise someone else was there, her 'hmm' and 'mrow' being crossed into the sound that rumbled in her throat. "Chosen?" it was fair that the she-cat completely spaced on that detail as a wild child adventurer like her, she just paid attention to the rules that might affect her and get her in Tarnished rank again so she could find the loopholes and play the system so to speak. She thought a cat showing interest in the rank was the sign from Lord Borealis.
"Yes, please teach me!" she couldn't help but eagerly speak up in agreement with Blackpaw. "I want to be able to help, I promise you won't regret it." Although she adored flowers of all kinds and select plants, she couldn't distinguish anything else and that wasn't even mentioning the crystals or anything else. However, and optimist by heart and spirit she could speak with confidence it would all work out in the end."Impossible is just a word, right?" Her smile held radiance with the words that rolled off her tongue; if anyone needed a miracle, she might just be the one to call, no guarantee she could make them, but she might just have the right attitude to certainly find a way to bring it out of the void and into existence.
"I already have my paws full, but if you want to teach her during your down Blackpaw I will not stop you. Just don't let it interfere with your duties" she scoffed, rising to her paws to leave the den "I am headed to the nursery, but do your best to keep her out of trouble" with that she disappeared back out into the light of camp (Sorry its short but that just her personality XD)

Blackpaw glared at Roseshade’s retreating form as he realized she was handing over all the work to him. Well, it was his idea to help Oriolelei so he couldn’t be too upset. Once the two of them were left alone, he turned back to her with a frown. “I’m still new to this so we’ll start with the basics. Herbs are of course, a fundamental tool in healing. However, our climate makes it difficult to rely solely on them. They’re difficult to come by and there’s not much in variety. That is why we also use crystals.”
He paused for a moment then, to gesture to the ones he’d been gazing at before. There were many of them, sorted into groups of like colors, patterns, and sizes. So many in one spot was a dazzling sight, but Blackpaw was hardly dazed by them now. “Spiritually, crystals possess great powers in more than just healing. It’s probably the only interesting part of this job, but because you weren’t chosen to be a witch, they might be harder for you to use. So...” Moving past the crystals, Blackpaw retrieved a bundle and dropped it at her paws. He unfolded it to reveal bright red berries. “You should see these all the time. Know what they are?”

It wasn't a yes, but hey it wasn't a complete no from the she-cat. It still meant she could get some experience in and just being around the den might be enough for her to get closer to him, I mean them. She left her gaze and Oriolelei returned to working with Blackpaw solely for this challenge.
"Crystals?" her eyes were already a bit wider and caught off guard by that, oh boy this was gonna get weird, or confusing at the very least. The colors and array of them enchanted that first-sight gasp on her and with her short-attention span - she glance to Blackpaw with a look of 'whoa have you seen these things?' raising a paw up to point and gesture towards them before immediately realizing who she was nonverbally talking to and closed her gaping jaw and put her paw down. She listened quietly this time as he explained, wondering if the whole spiritual thing would make this harder for her and throw a monkey wrench into everything.
/You should see these all the time. Know what they are?/ "Uh.. Holly berries?" she guessed, looking from berries to Blackpaw and back again nervously not doing so great under the pressure of a sudden pop quiz. I mean, all berries were usually shaped the same, she usually relied more on looking at the leaves or crushing a berry with a rock to confirm or deny what she suspected.

Blackpaw only blinked at the she-cat’s wild gestures towards the crystals, visibly unimpressed. He excused the behavior as he continued speaking, but even then he felt her attention span was wavering. She was almost like an adult-sized kit and Blackpaw had never been good with children. Still, he was pleased with her answer, mostly because it meant she was paying attention after all.
“Yes,” he drawled and rolled the pretty berries around with his paw. “They’re also known as yew berries and the first thing I want you to know is that they’re toxic. In extreme cases, we can use them for good, but more often than not they’re to be avoided.” His golden eyes raised for a moment to study her reaction and then he turned again to retrieve another bundle. This time, it was bluish purple berries within. “The only physical difference between these is color and you’re going to want to remember which is which. These,” he touched one of the new berries, “are juniper berries. Do you have any idea what they do?”

"Oh good" she said under her breath while keeping her smile and big wide eyes to cover over the nervousness of guessing out of a handful of narrowed down options. The black 'point' opposite to where the stem broke off was her best clue and she went with one of the more common floral options but without the identifying leaves or cross section of it, it could've easily been wintergreen, dogwood, red elderberries or yew! and she could not afford to make those mistakes around them - they might have been learning them recently too but these were Lord chosen cats! She had to do her best if not to impress, then to at least keep up.
"Oh I thought yew and holly were different?" confusion was the first thing to change the bright confidence on her face - maybe she wasn't suppose to say that, maybe that was some kind of test to trick her or something. But she favored the bright plants, anything red, pink, orange and yellow like the warm colors splashed on her pelt were her favorite and paid extra attention to when picking to avoid bringing back anything poisonous a curious kitten might try to eat when she wasn't looking. / The only physical difference between these is color / Ah perhaps she spoke too soon, she was gonna be bad student if she kept interrupting like this
/ Do you have any idea what they do? / "They uh, well they smell really good so they got that going from them." she said on a positive note knowing enough that she didn't see cats eat them but she also didn't know what possible use they could be.
