Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Cerise-tyke was among the youngest of the tykes currently in the Regime and as such, she was more closely watched by the Raisers to ensure that she wasn't going to get into any trouble. It could get boring in Post Kilo though and they weren't allowed to leave to explore the other tunnels. Maybe there was something fun here for her to do? She looked up, hoping to spot another tyke that might want to play a game.
"Stay low to the ground...take it slow...soft on your paws...no distractions..."
On the far side of the Post, an older tom-tyke was practicing his stalking, his muscles tense and tail down low as he made a slow and careful approach towards an old stick he set up in the dirt. Primus-tyke had long since decided from early on that he was going to be a Scout, just like his parents were. As he now only had two or three moons left before his promotion to cadethood, he spent most of his free time alone getting ready. Being born so close to Leafbare meant that Post Kilo had been practically empty for most of his life, so he never really bothered to get to know any of the more recent, younger tykes. He preferred his brothers anyway.
Quartus-tyke had been watching his brother from 'his' spot atop a small outcropping of rocks alongside one of the walls of Post Kilo. His near constant bored gaze hooded over with sleep. He unlike his more energetic brother enjoying lazing about whenever he could. "If you keep going on like that, you'll scare away anything you're trying to hunt, brother" his voice was slow and languid as he softly teased his brother. His pale gaze flicking to look at one of the younger tykes before looking back at Primus-tyke, "You'll teach her bad habits from watching you" he hummed nodding his head over to Cerise-tyke.
Cerise-tyke had been distracted when Quartus-tyke spoke. "What are you two doing? Do you want to play a game?" The little she cat was already hurrying over to them. She was still bored and she would do almost anything to alleviate that boredom, especially if it meant that she got to make new friends in the process.
Quartus-tykes attention shifted from his brother to Cerise-tyke, his tiny whiskers twitching as she spoke. At her questions he looked at Primus-tyke, "He's...'training', and I'm observing." he replied in his slow voice before turning his attention back to the she-kit. Quartus-tyke wasn't the type of kit to play games, he was content with just laying around doing nothing. A true blue lazy cat. But, he figured he may as well indulge the newer tyke. His head bobbed in a nod before he turned back to his brother, "you in?
Primus-tyke snorted at his brother's jest, trying his best to ignore Quartus-tyke and whoever he was talking about as he continued to walk himself through the motions of a perfect hunt. Of course, it just so happened that Cerise-tyke came bounding over right when he was about to pounce, resulting in him stiffening at the she-cat's sudden squeaks and losing his focus. "Ugh!" he hissed to himself, nearly tripping over his own paws as he struggled to regain his balance. Seeing his brother interacting with the younger tyke out of the corner of his eye, he grit his teeth in frustration; though he couldn't bring himself to get angry at someone so young. Diana would say it was his own fault for getting distracted, and she'd be right. "Yeah..." he finally conceded, sighing. "Fine. I've finished anyway."
"Yay! what should we play? Someone brought a mossball by earlier and left it by mama's nest or we could play hide and seek or maybe explore the tunnels! That might be hard though...The Raisers always catch me when I try to escape." She was a bit excitable, but this was mostly because she was still very young. She hadn't learned to control her seemingly boundless energy yet.
Quartus-tyle snickered at his brother giving in before his attention shifted back towards Cerise-tyke. At the mention of exploring the tunnels, Quartus-tyke grinned. He knew the perfect way to get around the Raisers, as he thought his whiskers twitched in amusement. "Exploring sounds fun" he purred before he looked towards Primus-tyke, "what do you think, brother?" he asked with a quirk of his brow.
"What are you two doing?" Decimus-tyke was now making his way over to his brothers. It was odd to see them hanging out with someone as young as Cerise-tyke, but perhaps they were just humoring her? Either way he had heard mention of them exploring and that was definitely something he wanted to do. Perhaps they could find where the fresh-kill pile was.
Primus-tyke flushed under his fur at Quartus' snickering, still embarrassed for letting himself get distracted so easily. Briefly ignoring his brother, he gave the pitch-black fur on his chest a few good licks before noticing Decimus-tyke heading over their way. "Cerise-tyke and Quartus-tyke want to explore outside of Post Kilo," he explained coolly, not wanting his other sibling to know about his mistake too. "I will admit the idea has some merit, though we'd best be cautious so mother doesn't find out."
"If mother finds out, she'll have your tails." Decimus-tyke was well aware of his mother's temper and he preferred to spend time around his more laid back father when he was allowed to do so. Should he help his brothers? Between the three of them, they should be able to sneak out. Cerise-tyke might hold them back a bit, but she was just little and it would hardly be fair to leave her behind.
