Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
this thread is set a few months in the past, before sunpetal receives her warrior name!
Glee. If one word could sum up the atmosphere of SummerClan's camp, it was glee. A seasonal rain storm had brought in some relief from the sweltering summer sun, and though the humid air was thicker now, the scattered water droplets shimmered as they refracted prismatic beams through themselves, making everything seem all the more mystical and honoring the reputation the clan upheld. New life boosted spirits ever higher, the clan rejoicing over the birth of Poppymask and Ratstar's newest litter finally making their debut. And there were rumors that the ceremonies were coming up soon too; the apprentices were particularly jubilant about that. All of them except for Sunpaw, that is.
"So much to learn, so little time," she moaned to anyone passing by, but to her annoyance she was barely noticed. "Is this how everyone is gonna treat the apprentice that single-handedly helped deliver SummerClan's future?! Hmph."
"How'd you deliver it? Steaming cold or piping hot?" Lostkit asked with all the sincerity of a genuinely curious kitten who didn't understand any better- at least until he fell onto his back laughing his little head off, near convulsing with his joy. Inhaling a few quick, short breaths, he sighed and rubbed his face with a paw to clear it of his happy tears.
She rolled from her back to her side to regard the breathless kitten. "They were very hot. Almost as if," and her voice lowered, as if she and Lostkit were about to share a secret, "they had something hotter than fire inside them. Not hotter than the sun, of course, but definitely fire."
