Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
It had been two days since the ceremony promoting the young cat. After the Yule Festival, their first training session had been to explore the borders, easing them into pending time with each other. It had not, however, been much of a bonding experience: Seafrost had demanded silence so Bloodpaw could save his breath, and there had been a frosty silence between the two for the trip.
Today they would not be journeying as far, but Seafrost looked unfriendly as ever as he waited for his novice to join him. The sun was rising, but hadn't burned away the frost yet, and thick clouds wafted across the skies. The brooding tom's gaze was fixed on the entrance to the novice's den, counting down the seconds, daring Bloodpaw to be late.
Bloodpaw had practically oozed indignance the entire first day of training with his mentor. He had so many questions he wanted answers to, but Seafrost had demanded he 'be quiet'. Of course, the novice had listened to his master's instruction, but from the frustrated looks he couldn't entirely hide from the older tom to his constantly twiching tail and turned back ears he hadn't needed to. Did Seafrost even want to teach him how to be a warrior? Or did he just think he was too cute and weak-looking to be a good warrior? Overnight, Bloodpaw had pretty much convinced himself that the latter was probably true.
Though he longed to make his master wait for him to start his day, Bloodpaw couldn't bring himself to so intentionally try to inconvenience Seafrost. And not just because it would only serve to slow down his training even more than he assumed it already was going to be. He spent enough time once he woke up to make sure his foggy pelt wasn't a complete mess before he stepped out into the camp, quickly noticing Seafrost's unfriendly face. Almost immediately his ears and tail drooped a little as he padded over to the warrior. He couldn't help the slightly sarcastic question of, "So, am I gonna be allowed to talk today?" to be the first thing he said to Seafrost.
