Vintagepaw walked along the river that separated MoonClan from SunClan, letting the cool water lap at her paws. With her three kits starting to grow, she could now resume a little bit of her training, even though she was still only allowed to have light duty until she had fully recovered from her kitting. If she hadn't of gotten pregnant, she would have already been promoted but it had put her behind on her skills. She didn't care all that much though, gazing upon the three little faces that called her mom made it all worth it. Getting to spend every day with Lavenderillusion made it all worth it. Still the mix of the scent of milk that clung to her and her young appearance enough to be quite confusing to those who didn't know her situation.
The apprentice leaned down to lick at the surface of the water, when the ground disappeared from below her feet. The next thing she knew, she was in the water willing her mouth and lungs. Disoriented, unsure of which way to the surface @dot
Serpenthaze had wandered a few paces past the Moonclan border and into the Gathering space that was rarely used by the Forest Clans. He had taken it upon himself to observe the small portion of Sunclan territory that met the Moonclan border. Even though the sun was still high in the sky and the Inquisitor should of been long asleep by then. He wanted to make sure that Sunclan and Dayclan were not taking advantage of Moonclan’s sleeping schedule.
The inquisitor lurked in the undergrowth out of view. Watching the river like a Hawk stalking it’s next meal. Time had past and the sun had moved. Tempted to return back to camp to catch a few hours of sleep. He noticed a young she-cat approach the water’s edge. Eyes narrowed into slits a growl threatening to rise in his throat. He observed her until she disappeared. The ground giving out beneath her paws followed by a loud splash.
It went against all of his morals to save the Sunclan cat, but he knew not even their goddess would be cruel enough to allow a cat to drown in the river. The Bengal-Savannah hybrid found himself exiting his hiding space and racing towards the waters edge. Plunging in he grasped the scruff of the she-cat and hauled her to the nearest shoreline. Which happened to be Moonclan’s side.
