Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
This was bad. No, that was an understatement. This wasn't just bad. This was worst case scenario. Somehow, she knew this, that the bite from that particular spider was the absolute opposite of what should have happened. She certainly didn't think she was going to die , that realization would set in much later, but she knew it was bad. That's why, as soon as she felt the pain of the venom entering her foot, she dashed through the territory as fast as she could. Fear was wide in her eyes; that spider bite wasn't like the others she'd had. And trust her, she'd had a lot of them. But none of them had hurt, not like that. Which meant one thing: to survive, she'd need an antidote.
Crashing into the medicine cat's den, the young cat's chests heaved. "Bit- spider.... bad..." she meowed as she panted, showing her paw. The wound surely didn't look too comfortable that was for sure. Pain radiated from it, and Berrypaw let out a hiss. "It hurts... Please, you gotta make it stop hurting."

Pinesimmer lifted his head up from the herbs he'd been sorting, blinking at Berrypaw as she entered the den. "Oh, you're the spider brat. The irony." He remembered her and Crystalpaw from that time he got stuck in a hole with them. Maybe Aspenstar would let me get away with letting her die. Without another comment to the she-cat he rifled through his stores once more, and it was entirely uncertain whether he was looking for something to help her, or just outright ignoring her and intending to let her die.
"You bit a spider? That's pretty friggin' hardcore," Jackdawpaw said earnestly before looking at her bite wound, "Oh wow, that looks pretty bad, but I bet you're thinking, you better see the other guy. I bet your paw was like a stone to that spider."
"It hurts... Please, you gotta make it stop hurting."
"Oh, yeah, just sit down here. Luckily there's only two types of spiders it could have been so what color was it?" Jackdawpaw asked walking towards the back where Pinesimmer was to see if they actually had what was required.
She should have been more offended by his lackluster response, but she was a little too preoccupied by that. "Well, it bit me, but then I smashed it into probably six different pieces before running here," she meowed through clenched teeth. Even in pain, it seemed, she couldn't help but babble. "It was.... b-brown," she hissed, nursing her paw.

"Wintergreen, wild garlic, or Stinging Nettle?" Pinesimmer didn't speak directly to Berrypaw, instead seeming perfectly fine with taking this time to leisurely ask Jackdawpaw about which herb would be best suited to treating the apprentice. Which at least proved he was putting in some amount of effort in ensuring Berrypaw didn't die. After all, he had only given his apprentice the choice of the three herbs that counteracted poison, he hadn't thrown anything else in.
