Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
She had left her son behind at the City of Ash once again. Her paws carried her from the forest that surrounded the camp. Her goal was to explore more of the territory without getting caught. She followed the river north noticing how the marshy ground turn harder. She walked away from the waterfall keeping close to the shadows. After some time she found herself along a tree line. The trees were thicker here and she noticed a stronger scent. One that was different from the cats that kept her confined to the area around the City of Ash.
Since the day that Duskveil had vanished, Dawnbringer had gone on every possible patrol that he could, sometime just going on his own little search for her. It was infuriating that no one else seemed to care about his sister's disappearance - the former deputy! No, instead they had just replaced her right away without bothering to actually search. The anger that took over him whenever he saw Aspenstar or Larkspur reminded him of this, but he did his best to hold it in. Larkspur had at least accompanied him on a search, so at least she seemed to feel some remorse.
Dawnbringer had told himself just a few days ago that he would give up the search, but it was merely habit now that carried him closer to the border of Moonclan. By the time that he had even noticed that he had gone further than he had meant to, he was already nearly there.
Trotting along what seemed to be a border. She wondered if her freedom was on the otherside. If she didn’t have her son still located back at The City of Ash she would of considered making a run for it. She stopped looking at the dark frees that loomed in front of her. She had half a mind to run back and go grab her son, but she had recently noticed him making a new friend. Meaning she didn’t have the heart to tear him away from the little bit of happiness he found in the ashy camp.
He should really just give up and go back to camp. As always, though, there was that small flicker of hope in Dawnbringer's heart. Maybe this time? It was the question that followed him every time he left camp, no matter how many times he tried to move on. He had managed to travel even closer to the border now, and this time he was fully prepared to turn back. Slowly, Dawnbringer shook his head, attempting to shake out any remaining thoughts of his sister, and shifted his paws to turn around. In the middle of the motion, however, a figure caught his attention, and he froze mid-movement.
Heart seemingly stopping, he narrowed his vibrant green eyes until the familiar form became more clear. All at once, sound seemed to return to the forest as his eyes widened and heartbeat picked back up, until his paws began racing along with the rhythm to close the distance. This was real, right? His mind didn't just manifest a vision? "Duskveil!" he shouted.
The orange and white she-cat had been standing real still. Gazing off into the distance while she had an internal battle on her decision. A name carried along the breeze in her direction. The name sounded familiar but she was unable to place where she had heard it. She turned to look in the direction where it can come from. She found a tom running full speed at her. The fur spiked along her spine as she prepared for a fight. The cat didn’t smell like the Moonclan Shadowhunters, but rather the border she had been followed. “Who?”
