Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Sakurapaw nodded her head understandingly to Softpelt, waiting for the others to approach and voice their reasoning for approaching her den, before tossing an amused glance at Sourkit, though it struggled to maintain itself against the overwhelming exhaustion and concern she felt for not only the little tom but her clanmates as a whole. The newly appointed medicine cat approached Sourkit's presented paw, she tossed him a smile. "You'll be a strong warrior when you grow up," she hummed, focusing her attention back on his significantly bitten skin, "though I'll say, with an attitude like that, you may not find yourself with many friends."
The she-cat turned and began to pull together a poultice of pineapple weed and basil.
Jetstar pulled ahead of Goldengriffon, the rain starting to really come down to where it made a loud staccato noise against the ground and trees.
The ground already so saturated with water, had large puddles forming making water splash up with each of Jetstar's and Goldengriffon's steps.
Jetstar knew then that she was on the verge of a moment much like the fire that had burst through SunClan, so she quickened her pace, her pelt flat against her body water streaming down her. She burst into camp and let out a yowl.
"SpringClan! Hear me!" The leader shouted. "The weather has become too inclement and there is a high risk of flood, we must evacuate immediately!"
Cats began to poke their heads out of their dens, eyes widening as Jetstar's words registered.
"Goldengriffon, Blackberry," She turned to her deputy and to one of her trusted. "Go fetch the queens and take them to-" She trailed off trying to think where to go. "Head towards the mountain ridge, that's the highest ground in the area." Novacomplacentdevil
Jetstar looked out in the crowd and located Wolfsgrin and Honeycream. Honeycream's litter was apprentices right. Yes, his son was Skunkpaw. "Wolfsgrin, Honeycream, I need you to go guide the apprentices!" uniqcrimpao
She could see figures gathered in the medicine cat den so she raised her voice. "Sakurapaw finish treating anyone who may need it and then get ready to evacuate immediately. We are headed for the path on the mountain." It was just within SpringClan's borders but it was the highest point Jetstar could think of, and was further away from the rivers.
She looked around to make sure cats were moving, the ones she'd nudged in particular hoping to get them motivated and moving.
She took a moment to decide what to do before darting over to the medicine cat den, Sakurapaw was their only medicine cat now, she had to be protected at any cost.
(I tapped a few people you can feel free to have your cats do as Jetstar tasked, or flee for themselves, and anyone else who wants to assist those I tapped can also feel free to do so! I was just offering you guys a prompt you can do with it as you like!)
Heart sinking rapidly, the white she-cat’s head snapped to the side to watch Jetstar as she called out to her. Clenching her jaw, she nodded once in acknowledgement and quickened her movements, applying the salve to Sourkit’s leg and seeing to Newsnarl’s ailment. Finishing, the she-cat motioned for the two to head to their respective groups, gathering what herbs she felt was necessary and what she had on hand into a large leaf, bundling them together before looking at Jetstar with a clouded gaze. “This will be dangerous. So many are already wounded or ill, we’ll need to move as slowly as possible to avoid anymore sprains due to the mud.” She swallowed, glancing out at her clanmates. She was grateful for the leader’s offered protection; despite the terrifying doom oncoming, it helped her feel a little less alone.
“I only hope the herb patches won’t be drowned or decimated.” She frowned. “There won’t be much chance for restock on the mountain path.”

Sourkit wasn’t amused by the medicine cat’s comment, but waited patiently while the salve was applied, his head snapping towards the entrance at Jetstar’s voice. “Hmph” he replied, stubbornly digging in his paws and turning to the leader “Just rain, I stay” he was far to young to really understand the true danger of everything that was going on. In his young mind, rain came and rain went. It passed over quickly then he could go play again. He laid down, looking merrily out to the water that streamed from sky “You can get wet”
Jetstar growled and went over to Sourkit, "No, there will be no staying here. If we stay too long, everything in camp will be very wet, including this den and you." She said.
Already the water was getting to be so much and the rain so hard it looked like waves of rainwater moving over the land. She snatched up Sourkit by the scruff and handed him off to Softpelt. "Hold him," Jetstar still needed to lead, and she wouldn't be able to do so if she had a kit in her mouth. "Do not let him go."
Softpelt's ears drooped knowing how much of a pawful kits could be, she set Sourkit down while Jetstar moved to help Sakurapaw gather up whatever else she needed. "Come now Sourkit, I'll carry you so you won't need to worry about getting too wet." She assured him.
In the warriors den Cardinalsong nudged his mother, Lightstep to try and get her to rise from her nest. "Come on mom, we need to go, Jetstar's ordered an evacuation."
Lightstep scoffed, her pelt a mess and her eyes wild, gone was the soft spoken sweet she cat she'd once been replaced with an ornery bitter old molly who was sick of the world and sick of everyone in it. "Jetstar grew up in the driest clan there ever was, I'm not going to go out in that rain, don't be ridiculous. We're on elevated land already, the mountain path is just a sign she's paranoid." The light gray she cat pointedly turned her head to tuck herself back into her nest.
Cardinalsong grit his teeth growling in frustration, "Mother, we can't stay, Jetstar went out with Goldengriffon, Goldengriffon knows the territory, he'd know if it was necessary or not!"
"Bah, like Jetstar would listen to him," Lightstep scoffed.
Cardinalsong's ears drooped his pulse starting to quicken as Lightstep continued to refuse to budge, glancing around for someone to help him.
Anxiety prickled in her belly at Sourkit's stubbornness, though she tried to reel in her heightening emotions so as not to scare the kitten – or force him deeper into his obstinance. Once the herbs were packed and a leaf-wrapped package was between her jaws, Sakurapaw nodded to Jetstar. She was ready to leave. Though she hoped dearly the den wasn't ruined, it was a thought so far in the back of her mind it might as well have been a fly on the wall. The white apprentice cleared her throat around the strong smelling herbs, even with the oncoming hurricane dampening her senses, and padded out of the medicine den, blinking at the bright grey light.
Across the clearing, Zengarden was keeping watch over his newest litter, her baby siblings, while Septariadragon appeared to be approaching the elder's den. Sakurapaw frowned and offered her father an expression she hoped conveyed her concern but was dismissed by a small smile from Zengarden, even as the tom appeared to be just as worried as she was. He began to wrangle the kits of the nursery with the other warriors assigned to their group, glancing back at the elders den to check on the progress his mate was making.
Septariadragon cleared her throat and stuck her head in the den just a bit, just to see what was going on, and a sad expression crossed her face as she caught the tail end of Lightstep and Cardinalsong's conversation. "Lightstep," she started softly, wincing as she wondered if she was truly permitted to say anything at all to the she-cat given she had no relation to her and glanced at Cardinalsong for assurance, "I understand your doubt of Jetstar. If you don't do this for Jetstar, that's alright, but do it for Cardinalsong and our clan. They need every single one of us. They're scared, especially the children. Having you at their side could offer them comfort and see that everyone is leaving, not just them." She smiled a bit, hoping it could convince the troubled she-cat.

His ears pricked up at his name. Wolfsgrin was to guide the apprentices with Honeycream. Okay. Where exactly was he guiding them? Panic rose in him for a moment but the feeling began to dissipate after a few quick breaths. "Apprentices! Follow us!" He began looking around to do roll call but there were too many... "pick a buddy! Make sure everyone is here. Your littermates, friends, everyone. Let us know if anyone is missing and follow us." He wasn't sure if that was the right move but they couldn't possibly keep track of them all.
Chrysoprasekit anxiously searched for her parents. There was panic in the air and a lot of noise going on. She stumbled out of the nursery on her short little legs, feeling a little panicked from the fear in the air. It was practically tangible.
Zengarden turned at the familiar tumble of a kit and concerned eyes softened at the sight of Chrysoprasekit. “Little dove, come join your siblings and friends. We need to leave. Mama will join us soon.” The tom rested his tail tip on her back in a show of reassurance, beginning toward the camp entrance, praying the journey would be quick and painless. uniqcrim
The rain was pouring down, the camp ground so sodden it was quickly becoming one big puddle.
Jetstar went to the camp entrance, nudging cats out, a steady stream of cats starting up as the water got worse and worse.
She hoped the river would stay away a little longer, with how wet the camp itself was becoming they'd have a pond right in the middle of camp!
The tan and black she cat spotted Wolfsgrin working to herd apprentices out, Maskedknight nudging out any stragglers. "Keep moving! Everyone head for the mountain path!" She ordered. "Goldengriffon start clearing dens!" She ordered.
She glanced at Sakurapaw. "You should go on ahead to the mountain path, I need to make sure every cat is out."
She couldn't lose anyone to this rain. She couldn't have anyone die like the brother of her first apprentice had in the fire that changed SunClan forever.
"Everyone keep moving! Out! Out!" Jetstar called.
Softpelt took that as her cue snatching up Sourkit and hurrying out into the camp, puddles splashing under her paws as she hurried towards the exit joining the surge of cats retreating camp.
"This was Mama's favorite place to come when I was just a little older than you two. You can see all of SpringClan territory from up here. Can either of you point out camp to me?"
Today had started peacefully enough--as peacefully as it could with the conditions they were in. The sunlight was pallid, the air too humid, and the silver streaks of cloud did little to repress the sweltering heat. Dancingdragon and Goldengriffon had agreed to spend the day separately with two of their kits each, taking them out to explore and stretch their legs, hoping it could keep the kits from sensing the unease both their parents were feeling. Softkit and Sharpkit were under her watch, and the trio made their way along the mountain path, climbing impossibly skyward until they could sit atop the ridhe and overlook the territory below. To the kits it looked just as fantastical as it would any other day, a lush jungle laced by gushing streams, but to Dancingdragon, who'd grown up here and knew every last tree by heart, she could see how the waters broached the riversides and spilled across their hunting grounds. She frowned but managed to neutralize her expression by the time Softkit looked back at her. "Well?" she encouraged.
Sharpkit squinted her eyes down at the layout beneath them, peering over the edge and only managing to avoid falling due to her mother's paw firmly on her tail, and she pointed her paw in a totally deliberate direction. "Over there!"
"No, honey," her mother laughed, moving Sharpkit's gesture to the side to show her where the camp truly was. "It's over...there." Beyond the camp, growing ever closer, a curtain of white, heavy rains moved towards the camp, and Dancingdragon could barely discern her clanmmates scrambling to evacuate before the waters laid claim to the camp...and their lives. Though she knew the clan would make their way up here and join them, she couldn't help the way fear caused her heart to hammer in her chest, thoughts of Goldengriffon and their other two kits impossible to shake. Nothing could be done about that though.
Dancingdragon turned to her daughters. "Okay, my loves, looks like we aren't going to beat the rain back home, so let's find somewhere to take shelter. First to find one gets dibs on a treasure tonight," she said, and with one last worried glance back below, she turned away to watch Softkit and Sharpkit scramble to find a den. Now all she could do was wait to learn the fate of the rest of their family.
The white she-cat nodded in response to Jetstar, picking up the packed leaves of herbs and hurrying out of the camp, hoping her mother and father, her little siblings, were not far behind. She sympathized with StarClan, she truly did, but could they have given them some time? Perhaps not grieved so much that they placed them in danger? Though, she thought to herself as she padded up the slick, muddy slopes toward the mountain path, they had every right to grieve in whichever way helped to release the pain. Perhaps even StarClan had their bouts of losing control; could they be blamed?
She shook her head of her thoughts, criticizing herself for thinking of her ancestors in such a negative way, and kept her sights out for anyone who may be lagging behind, getting stuck in the thick mud, or otherwise injuring themselves in their mad scramble for safety. Jetclaw
Sweetkit glanced at the warrior who was herding the kits from the nursery out of the camp, Zengarden, before looking around for her father. She swallowed nervously. This was her first time out of camp, and it was so scary. She huffed, trying to pull her little legs from the suction of the mud, her muscles growing tired but the panic and adrenaline keeping her moving forward. Nova
Vermilionkit turned to Chrysoprasekit, his sister and regular rival, and attempted to offer what comfort he could in the form of a long, soft stare and his flank pressed briefly to her side. He was worried for all of his siblings, as well as his parents and older sister, but his best friend, Serpentinekit, and his sibling who in his eyes was his guide, Malachitekit, had yet to be seen in their gaggle of frightened fluffballs. He only hoped they were found by their mother or older sister. uniqcrim @lore seeker

(sorry im late oo"")
Blackerry wrangled the kits alongside Zengarden, his eyes flitting frantically to make sure the den was cleared out of queens and their kits. "Zengarde, a head count please, do you have all of yours?!" he called to the warrior, brows furrowed. Seemed they might be lacking one or two, but unfortunately he wasnt overly familiar with the kits as he shouldve been. He cursed himself under his breath as he waited for an answer, the rain soaking him through, his thick heavy coat sticking to his scarred skin. ѕнαdow✩
Brokenfeather had just about jumped out of his skin at the clap of thunder. His normally warm, soft nest in the elders den was damp, he shivered as he realized the fur on his side was just as cold and wet. He blinked as Septariadragon poked her head in, unsure what all was going on, but moved quietly past her, excusing himself to find out what had happened. The calico elder was met with more rain, and then some, a grimace growing on his muzzle. What a pain. He looked to see Jetstar calling orders and limped his way to the others, the sudden humidity causing his injury to act up all the more so.
