Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Brokensight has been blind and missing an eye since he was of student age, but that hasn’t stopped him from living though. As a senior warrior aged tom, he manages to get around pretty well even with his missing sight. Though he may have become an ancient early, it doesn’t mean he’s truly that old or useless. Stepping just out of camp and taking a seat by the entrance, he waited for someone to come by. The tom didn’t feel comfortable going out into the territory without someone else with him. The snow changed things, and he couldn’t watch for birds of prey with his eyesight how it is, plus it was hard to spot slick and ice spots with no vision. While getting around camp was easy since nothing moved or became icy, the territory he’s called home his whole life is a completely different matter. Calmly he sat and waited, hoping someone had a few moments to take him for a walk around the land. Brokensight knew that having to have someone with him when he goes on walks makes him a burden, but he also can’t stand living his life confined to camp. Shadows may be all he can see, but his other sense are just as sharp as when he was a kit. Grey and white paws itch for a walk, to do something besides pace around camp. He wants to visit the sites of the territory, hear what they look like, smell the air, and just enjoy a day out. Things change, especially on the mountain. The snow and ice reshape areas, changing things year by year, and preventing him from making journeys on his own.

Her pawsteps were heavy, and even had a distinct minor waddle as her belly swayed with each unbalanced step. She felt like couldn't do or go anywhere without annoying herself although at least she could say her position was completely optional, chosen and hopefully be over soon.
"Hey Brokensight -" she called over, and habit to identified herself as she approached, "Please tell me you're in the mood to go for a walk with me, I'm gonna go nuts if I have sit around and do nothing for another second." Scared wasn't the one to flip the script and overly assure her brother that she was always conveniently going to do the same thing he wanted - she knew better than to baby him like that. It made it all the more clear she was in fact not even asking, rather telling him which was rare and something must be on her mind or bothering her. She was stressed and needed to get out preferring her brother's company but it wasn't mandatory he come if he didn't want to.
(why make a new thread when i can perfectly steal this one? heh heh )
A soft smile, one that always appeared with his sister by his side, was turned on the approaching she-cat. "Should you be going far? Your due any day now and it'd be no good for that to happen out there." He used his tail to motion to the world outside of camp, slightly worried about her being out even if it did seem like she needed it. Between the two of them, they only had one set of good eyes, and he would be useless in a fight or if she started kitting. Really it was a recipe for disaster if Brokensight had anything to say about it. But if she really insisted and they were able to flag someone down and tell them to come after them in say an hour or so if they weren't back, it should be okay. Right? That would work. "But..I supposed if we told someone where we were going and then had them keep an eye out for us to come back it should be fine, right?" She'd be able to see someone and hopefully, this idea would work for her. Otherwise, the tom had no idea what to do and didn't feel comfortable just walking away. Even if he too wanted a walkout in the territory, it'd do no good for a mother to be and a blind ancient to be off wondering all alone without a plan in action in case there was a problem.

"Well isn't it an old-shecats' tale most litters are born at night or something, doesn't matter" she deflected. "Besides I can't go that far even I wanted to, my paws get all swollen and sore like they've never walked before. Pathetic." Scaredbreath passively mocked herself, very out of element not being to able to do much or control any of the factors. She was just a passenger on the ride of pregnancy and normal as usual until openly hating every minute of the moment she got taken off warrior duties.
"Yeah, sure tell the whole clan" she shrugged, not really caring for her own risk and going right back to her problems. "It's like not being a workaholic and doing nothing just-..." she struggled to find the words of her frustration. "Just reminds me I have no hobbies and I feel personally attacked by that." She finally got the words out and sighed, stopping as they neared the entrance and glanced around for a cat to flag down.
(got a cat you'd like to cameo as their lookout/watchman/'keep an eye out for us'-person idk a good term for it.)
Rowanstrike happened to be coming into camp where the two were occupying the entrance to the camp. At first, he kept walking past, merely dipping his head in acknowledgment before being stopped by Scaredbreath. Dropping his two birds, he paused, curious what the mother to be needed.
Meanwhile, Brokensight was tipping his head, trying to figure out who'd stopped before them. He could make out a large size, but most WinterClan cats were large so that didn't help much. The darkness indicating dark fur wasn't much help either. So really, he wasn't doing a great job figuring out who was before them and had been flagged down by his sister.

"Oh hey, Rowanstrike" she addressed as soon as she made eye-contact. "We're heading out, if you hearing screaming that's probably nothing, just someone questioning their life choices and being unsatisfied or sorely disappointed-" Scaredbreath mumbled the last part "but more important if by chance we're not back in an hour or so send someone to make sure I haven't kitted and that Brokensight is safe and gets back to camp." Her words laid out straightforward and plainly and with a dash of her dead pan humor as per her style.
The tom, a little used to Scaredbreath by now after all these moons of being in WinterClan, merely nodded his head and left. He wanted nothing to do with this mess, but would make sure they were back within the time limit least something has happened to them. "Have fun." Picking up his dropped prey, he disappeared into the depths of the cavern of camp. Shadowbladeღ
"Scaredbreath, you just bullied that poor tom! Really, you didn't even ask if he'd be here in an hour. Maybe he ahs patrol soon or something!" Brokensight was a little embarrassed at the brashness of his sister's actions and just knew his fur was ruffled from it. But really, there was nothing he could do now but hope they weren't too terribly inconveniencing Rowanstrike.

"Thanks, will do" she waved her tail in acknowledgement, not really caring much about her safety with the confidence and determination she could never be slowed or taken down by this 'kitting' thing. She could just hold them in or something right? Her brother's voice called her attention and made her raise a eyebrow somewhere in all that fur.
"Broken what are you talking about?" she laughed, "I mean, beside he's like a Grace or something, I doubt he's on a patrol when he just came back," she said not considering that other people had lives and he could have been coming in from having free time or so on. "And like he he could just blame it on me, a Seraph told him to do something and I'll handle anyone whose not happy with my orders. " This dame had absolutely no fear of anyone except for maybe whoever happened to be the leader at the time and only for the sake of not making her life any worse or hellish. "You're too soft on everyone," she teased, "and a strong warrior needs a little strong words every now and then."
“Oh, very well. Let’s get going shall we? We do only have about an hour.” That was what Scaredbreath had told Rowanstrike, and Brokensight was determined to use taht hour of freedom. It was kind of ironic that the two sibling were both handicapped at this time and yet were wondering out together. No escort, no back up, just the two of them out for an innocent walk. “Where should we go? There’s the Sapphire Springs but it’s all the way across the territory. Maybe the burial grounds? Or one of the falls?”

"Alright but no running, I'm not going faster than speed unless I'm rolling down a hill. I mean we don't have to rush; I doubt Rowanstrike is counting the exact seconds or minutes." she glanced back over shoulder in gesture.
"Well there's a good chance not many cats are hanging out at or near the burial grounds" It was a more quiet and sometimes eerie place and out of respect to keep it tranquil she knew she didn't even hunt or talk too loud near it. "We should try one of the falls." She settled on, her paws would love the springs right now but admitted it might have to wait for another day when they had a friend to go picnicking with them. By that time she might even have a few bundles to join them on an outing or so she could only hope.
Brokensight nodded, allowing the one with sight to lead them across the mountain to the nearest falls. Jagged falls was pretty to look at but definitely held a deadly edge to it. Many cats, animals, and more had fallen over its edge and died. By no means did he want to get to close to the edge, especially not being able to see it. But maybe they could go down to the bottom and relax near the pool that collected at the bottom of it. The sound of the falls would be nice to listen to and the crashing of ice chunks was always appealing too. “Jagged Falls then? We can relax at the pool and you can tell me about the things around us?”

She was thinking of Running Falls instead, much closer, quieter murmuring brooks, slighter warmer air that on the hottest days of summer made the breezing mist kissing their cheek feel nice. But as nice of non-visual experience it could be, it was just as more enticing to other predators and likely more dangerous for the two of them.
"Yes and of course!" She couldn't say no to him, and it would just be a little farther so long as they took the shortcut between peaks. "You better be ready to stretch those legs and keep up. So long as we stick to the shortcut it shouldn't take us too long."
Shadowbladeღ pssst running falls is near the borders with fallclan and springclan, super far away while jagged falls are near the mountain. think of it like this. the more frozen things are, the higher up in the land they are. jagged falls are near completely frozen solid with chunks of ice falling over the edge and breaking while the running falls are warmer running water with no ice. camp is on the mountain in a cavern, so basically in line or nearly in line with at a diagonal under the jagged falls
Brokensight only shook his head as he followed the sound of her pawsteps through the snow. The slight crunch of snow was pleasing to the ears, and her dark shadow against the white was easy to follow. Again, he thanked the God that he has enough vision in his one eye to be able to still make out the barest of shadows. It allowed excursions like this to happen without needing to be right up next to the other cat. A little more freedom to a cat with so little. "Shouldn't take long if we stay to the route I'm thinking that you're talking about."

( hmm, I am going off the warrior cat clans map for referencing of distance and how far things are from each other and the territory descriptions and trying to piece it together so I'm not surprised im wrong just still v confused since the 'all clans map' isn't labelled and i'm terrible at imagination when it comes to map lol )
"Of course, and oh - I should've packed us a lunch or something to enjoy when we get there." she pouted. "I know it's short route, but if I see an easy prey maybe we could catch it?" she smiled with something mischievous in her voice entertaining the idea of doing something 'fun' - nevermind the fact her idea of fun was technically work, or that she said 'we' - where was this 'we' business coming from?
Brokensight sighed, she knew he couldn't hunt, the tom had never figured out how to without two working eyes or at east one working eye. It was a difficult idea to even attempt while blind. Just where would his paws end up if he couldn't see? With a shake of his head, he cocked it in the direction of his sister. "Should you be hunting? I mean really, neither of us should try it since between us both we're barely a functioning set." A heavily pregnant mother to be and a blind ancient, what a pair they were.

/ we're barely a functioning set./ Scaredbreath scoffed and made light-hearted offended huff (ytcutter.net/watch/9Y65bJcJV/) "Oh well speak for yourself if you've gone soft on me, I'll have you know I can handle anything with or without a few extra pounds on my feet - they just give me more momentum and uh.. oh make me harder to tip over, I mean push around." she corrected when the thought of 'tipping over' made her think of the imagery of a cow being tipped over and seeming helpless at getting back up. "Besides, we could always steal a worm from a bird if we get desperate enough." She humored with a shrug.

Brokensight just stared at her, completely unimpressed (https://www.pinterest.com/pin/4081455901988973/ shiro). An eye roll or a dozen wouldn't even show how unimpressed her was at this point. She was so easy to tip over, he'd heard her stumble earlier this week due to the extra weight knocking her off balance. But sure, let her think whatever she wants. "It's fine. Let's just enjoy the springs instead of worrying about hunting. We can always grab something to eat back at camp." Safer than the two trying to hunt at the huge disadvantage they were at.
"I think I can agree to that." she knew better than play a losing game that would just end in mocking her being akin to a cow. "So I heard the spooky season is coming up, and the other clans and cats are preparing. I can't imagine how some of them can actually stand to wear kittypet trash," she not so subtly dissed her personally lesser liked groups like PI, course she didn't dislike the idea of getting dressed up or handmaking their own costumes - now that kind of fun she could grow to like; she could just get mad at them for so much as breathing air at this point. "However, getting dolled up in general actually sounds like fun - I hear of an upcoming wedding, Shadowbard and Nikkohydrangea? That might nice time to practice if I do go. I never have seen their clan, except maybe once though it wasn't for a social visit." She rambled, half the things she could never admit to let alone chat about to any other WinterClan cat.
