Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Pomegranatepaw had gathered her siblings at her mother’s for an announcement form their parents. It was something the she-cat had already figured out, new siblings on the way, but she did as asked and so here she sat. They were in their mother’s den, a ledge craved into the cavern’s side that overlooked the clearing below. With their bulk it was nearly cramped, and just in the edge of comfortable. They could fit about three more cats but only if they sat close together. The she-cat sat near the edge, overlooking the clearing and cats below. Some students were practicing their skills, a few cats were lounging near the hot spring’s edge, and others killed around leaving or entering camp. It was everyday life in WinterClan. Behind her, the children of the Sovereign gathered. None yet aware, or least not having been told, why they were gathered. Pomegranatepaw had called them together early, for mother had asked to see them around mid-day not mid-morning. But it truth, it wasn’t a surprise to anyone to see one, two, or even three of the litter up here in the ledge in the Sovereign’s den.
figured we should do a siblings thread! Especially one for announcing the newest litter CleaverJadieHoneystormFaith
Deathpaw sat a few inches away from his family, his back ramrod straight and alert, his ears tuned to their every movement. In the privacy of their mother's den, he wasn't very concerned with keeping up his cool facade, but he was still anxious about retribution from his brother after their latest argument, so he kept his distance and hoped their mother would arrive soon. Wintrystar wouldn't let him get bullied right here, right?
Reapingpaw had grown quite a bit recently. He was still smaller than the rest of his siblings of course, but he was proud of his new size nonetheless and sat there with his head held high. Sure, his fur wasn't as full and long as his siblings and yeah, he didn't exactly look like a WinterClan cat, but he had all the swagger of one.
"Pomegranatepaw, you look lovely today," He purred, always quick to butter up his sister who he followed around like a puppy dog 90% of the time. He didn't even cast a glance at Deathpaw and pretended like he wasn't even there.
"Do I not normally look lovely, brother dearest?" She raised an eyebrow, daring him to say otherwise. Pomegranatepaw took much care to make sure she always looked and acted perfect, the prime example of what a child of the Sovereign should be. A role model, a cat to look up to, one to follow into battle and outside of it. It's her ambition to take her mother's role one day, to be the one wearing the crown and leading the cats of her clan. Why not start early? She thought. "Where are the others? I told them to arrive promptly." A frown was taking over her pretty face as she gazed from her two brothers in search of her two sisters. Really, would it kill them all to just follow orders at least once?
"I'm here, I just don't make a point to show up at your call like an obedient mutt," Gardeniapaw pointed out, fanning herself in the summer sun. WinterClan was still cold, but to a cat like herself who had never experienced true summer this was already hot, "Now what are you making us come out in the sweltering heat for? Did you scare that poor tom into marrying you early?"
"You-you always look lovely, sister," Reapingpaw stammered slightly, embarrassed for his slip up, "I meant you say you look extremely lovely today. Even more so than you do normally, I'm utterly shocked that any creature could be as beautiful as you are right now. I'm not even sure the Moon Goddess could compare."
His recovery was anything but smooth, but Reapingpaw himself seemed satisfied with it. That issued now resolved, he then turned his gaze to Gardeniapaw and frowned.
"Gardeniapaw, you need to sit up straight, like the proper royalty you are. This is a formal meeting."
