Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
At the three-quarters point of training, Aspenstar had had plenty of time to consider the apprentices and their skillsets. Some of them were coming along quite nicely; there was a distinct skill in this class, a skill that was being surprisingly met by the apprentices promoted two moons after they were. Others weren't as skilled, but they had still advanced in their own skills. It was at this point in their training, though, that she opted to split them up. For exactly one week, the apprentices that were nearing the age of promotion were going to be trained separately, by Aspenstar herself. This wasn't necessarily training, per say. It was more of a check in; in the next week, each apprentice would have an entire night with Aspenstar, from sundown to sunrise, where she would monitor their skills and get to know them each a little better. They were nearly done with their training, and this was an excelleent time to check in with them and see if there was anything they still needed.
It was a clear choice that she picked Puddlepaw as the first. Her own apprentice, the one that she had been so conflicted over. He was a sweet little tom, but he was one of the apprentices who had not grown into a sense of confidence yet. That, Aspenstar figured, would be the focus of most of her evening, how to get the tom to recognize his own skill. With one last centering exhale, Aspenstar turned for the entrance of the camp, where Puddlepaw had been instructed to wait for her.
"Good morning, Puddlepaw," she greeted with a smile. "How are we feeling today?"
