“So this is the quaint little corner of the earth you’ve managed to find.”
Blue and amber eyes glanced about the territory with intrigue, as heavy paws carried the tom across Fallclan’s territory as if it were his own. His white coat was dingy, and dust fell away from his pelt in small plumes. It was clear that the tom could care less about the condition of his coat. He even had permanent stains speckling the fur along his chin and cheeks.
“Honestly, here I am, come to reconnect and not one of his little pets has come to greet me? The cruelest of travesties. Is this how family is treated here?”
The white tomcat shook his head as he clicked his tongue. He would have to have a word with his so called brother… that is if he cared to come follow his scent. He should have been treated like royalty! After all, was his brother not leader of this land? Well he wouldn’t walk about any longer. The dirty white tom cat sat down with a small huff, his ears twitching erratically as he looked around.
“I’ll have to remind him of his manners that he seems to lack, now won’t I? It seems I do, indeed.”

"Yo. Don't you think it's a bit weird to talk to yourself?"
A bored voice piped up from nearby as a black and white tom stepped out to greet the stranger. Subaru had been on the first walk in moons by himself when this guy's scent caught his attention. He didn't catch anything the dude said, but boy did he look a bit... menacing? Rugged? Dunno, maybe it was the look nowadays. "Anyways. Who are you and what do you want? At least, I think that's what I'm supposed to say... Now that I think about it, Hystericstar might not care what I say? Who knows."
"Hystericstar might not care," growled a low voice, "but I do." Short on Subaru's heels was a lanky gray tabby, his blue gaze cold and unfriendly as it raked the newcomer from ear to toe and deemed him unimpressive. He had been hunting nearby when he heard Subaru's voice, or more accurately, heard him absolutely butchering the very simple job of scaring off intruders. There was a reason Jayjack didn't like outsiders joining the clan, and this was exactly it: they made for very poor warriors.
Timidly, Tinypaw stepped out from behind Jayjack, her large brown eyes flickering between the Aurulent and the intruder. It was by pure chance that the tiny apprentice had stumbled across this scene after accidentally losing her patrol, and had done her best to approach as quietly as she could. She probably failed in that, but no one had said anything to her so far. Was she even supposed to be here? Should she just go back to searching for the patrol? If they were supposed to be scaring this strange cat away, she was definitely the least intimidating cat out there. "What do we do?" she decided on whispering instead, now glancing between Jayjack and Subaru. Maybe they would just tell her to mind her own business, but it would be awkward to just leave without saying anything, right?

"Well you could kindly take me to see Hysteria now." Aries said, running his paws over his ears as if he were bored with everything happening around him. "Or... what's his name now? He has so many I could hardly keep up. What was it you called him? Hystericstar?"
The dingy white tom stood to his paws, stretching his body and letting out a soft sigh at a satisfying crack of bones along his back. "I believe that's an excellent idea... well of course it is, I did come up with it after all." Aries chuckled.
"Now... are we just going to stand here gawking, or shall we get going?"
"I say we forgo the formalities and just chase this rogue off now." Growled, a small one eyed warrior as joined his clan-mates. Despite his small stature Phantomchaos held himself high, not in an attempt to make himself seem bigger but just from the sheer confidence the thin tom had in his own capabilities. He was always ready for a fight, especially when it came to dealing with strangers. With how many stays they had taken in recently he was less than fond at the idea of bringing in another.

Subaru let out a yawn, glancing around the growing group with a bored expression. "Alright, alright Jayjack. No need to get your tail in a knot. Come on, uh, whatever your name is. I still think it's better that he sees Hystericstar. I mean, isn't that how half the clan got here?" He didn't understand how this cat had attracted such a scene.

"Aries." The white tom said with a dramatic bow. "Pleasure to meet you... whomever you are."
"But I do hope that you'll indulge me with the story of how you came to possess a single eye, my one-eyed compatriot." Aries purred as he walked past Phantomchaos. "I'm sure it's quite the tall tale despite your... small stature." He said with a chuckle.
"Ah, regardless. Lead the way! I'm eager to see what Hysteria has been up to."
Jayjack was of a mind that the apprentices could have handled this situation better than Subaru, and he only continued to prove him correct. "Tinypaw, lead Aries to the old windmill. Phnatomchaos and I will take up the rear. Subaru," he shifted to glare at the tom, "why don't you run back to camp and let Hystericstar know to meet us?"
He had his doubts if the tom could handle that responsibility, but it was better than keeping him around.
Nervously, Tinypaw glanced between Jayjack and... Aries, he said his name was. She didn't want to question the aurulent's command, but was he sure that she was fit for this task? Wouldn't it be better if Subaru led the way and she went back to camp? If Aries decided to do anything, she would be rather useless. But maybe he didn't think that the newcomer knew where the landmark was?
Swallowing, the small apprentice meekly nodded, turning her full attention to the outside. "P-please follow me," she said, voice trembling. She turned her back on Aries, placing her trust in the warriors, and started walking in the direction of the Abandoned Windmill.

Subaru rolled his eyes and pranced on forward, tail high. “Whatever you say, your highness.” He called over his shoulder to Jayjack before quickening to a jog. He didn’t really have any pride to upkeep so whatever the older warrior was trying to do, it went right over his head.
