Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
To be truthful about the situation, she didn't even know what in the hell a sentinnel was. Of course, she must have had a few while she led the Regime, but apparently she hadn't cared enough then to really figure it out. Chances were, she wouldn't care about it now, had she not become one. Well, become suggested that she might have earned her position. She didn't, at least not really. For the second time, she'd simply won her position. It had been more difficult with Shule than it had been with Rajin, but it was easily 10x funnier to see her mother-in-law lose a bet. Honestly, the look on Shule's face when she lost was the only reason the white cat had stayed at all. Well, that and she technically had a family here, namely her favorite daughter, Arei, which sometimes she genuinely missed, just not enough that she'd willingly live in the dirt again to see every day.

Well if this cat–whoever she was–had no idea what a sentinel was, neither did she. Well, frankly, Sundara (or was it Soma?) didn't know a lot of these petty things, and she didn't really care. Her whole life was just about....causing as much chaos as possible really. Right now, this musing she-cat seemed a fun target.
The gollum-from-the-hobbit sort of creature popped her head into the conversation. "Dusty cat, fluffy cat," she called out in a sing-song voice, "why do you sit here, looking like a rat?"
Soma (or Sundara?) also appeared next to his sibling, watching this other sentinel with wide, unblinking eyes. With the twins, it was hard to believe there were two distinct cats unless you saw them standing beside each other- and even then, it was sometimes easier to think you were just seeing double.
"Is this another sentinel, brother dearest?" Soma asked, glancing down at his chest. "Another one of us who so loyally serves our Regime? Another so fully committed to service that they have been promoted to the rank of highest esteem?"
Of course, no one could remember if only one of the twins had been promoted or both, but they had both assumed the role immediately.

"First of all, if you ever call me dusty again, I will take your tongue, wrip it out with my first claw, and then feed it to your freakshow sibling." Gossamer Alessandra's gaze suggested that she wasn't kidding around with that. She hated the fact that her white coat attracted the dirt at almost all times. She didn't need other cats reminding her of that, even if they were.. colleagues? Wasn't one (maybe both?) of these cats fellow sentinels?
"Also, please don't get it twisted, other freak of nature. I certainly don't loyally serve the Regime. I didn't loyally serve the Regime when I was Commander. What makes you think this is any different? I'm here because my mother in law hates me but was still too daft to reject a bet, and as soon as I get bored of being the bane of her existence, I'll be gone again. Got it, Tweedle Dee and Dumb?"

The said freakshow giggled, tilting their head to the side, bulging eyes staring at his new prey? Amusement? Toy? "This cat doesn't like to be covered in dust," the creature turned to its sibling, "then cleaning their pelt, should be a must!"
A shrieky giggle left Sundara's mouth again. "Wouldn't it be fun to annoy Shule?" he echoed the sentiment, "to this fire, we can add more fuel."
"Does this cat mean to say they attained a position meant only for the dearest servants of the Regime without caring for it?" Soma asked, bulging eyes widening even more- if that were possible. "Though don't you think it would be fun to annoy Shule?" The question had not received an actual answer from either of the twins, but they both seemed open to the idea of it.

"Wow, I always thought that most of these cats had dirt for brains, but you're the best damn proof of that I've ever seen," she grunted with narrowed eyes. She looked at them the way she looked like any other lesser creature; disgust oriented clearly in her eyes. Yet, if they were interested in bothering Shule? "How about we drop the scary riddles and just talk like normal cats. Or, would that take too much brain power?"

"I don't know why you would say that," Sundara giggled, as if completely unaware of how they came off to others. It seemed like the twins had no self-awareness at all. "I'm talking just like every other cat."
Soma, too, looked confused, his mismatched eyes flitting between Sundara and Gossamer. "Are you implying that Soma and Sundara aren't normal cats? Isn't it true that we grew up here in the Regime just like everyone else, brother dearest? Are we not loyal soldiers and sentinels? Isn't it rude to insult a coworker?"

She let out an exasperated sigh, looking off to the side. "You know what? I honestly shouldn't be surprised. If I'm a Sentinel, only makes since that Shule promoted Things One and Two," she meowed to an unknown third party - Gossamer liked to narrate her life on occasion, but it was unknown why. She then glanced back to the other two, shaking her head when Soma spoke. "Ah, they indoctrinated you very early on. You see, I tried that once, and none of them ended up like whatever... you two are. I'll have to talk to Shule, maybe they're pushing y'all too long. I told her the night I stepped down to take it easy on the youngin's. Guess she didn't listen."

"Indoctrinated?" Soma replied with a creepy grin, "what does one mean when one says indoctrinated? What if it is you who is indoctrinated? What if you only believe you have true freedom of thought, but you have returned, nonetheless, no? Despite saying you hate it here? What is indoctrination if not thoughts put in your head? What makes our thoughts different from yours?"
"I think, therefore I am," Sundara chimed in, tiling their head to and fro as they quoted a philosopher they should've had no knowledge of. "I do not like green eggs and ham. What is indoctrination, if not the control of thought formation? We're all influenced by our childhood, so don't act like you hold the keys to sainthood."

Soma grinned at their sibling. "Don't you think this cat's strange?" they asked, beady eyes darting to Gossamer, "they don't seem to like this place and yet they're back here, it's ironic, don't you think?"
Sundara just nodded vigorously, apparently tired of rhyming, her eyes owlish as she stared at Gossamer, awaiting an answer to their many rambling questions.

I h8 that I read that like the billie eyelash song
She raised a brow. "I left because the Regime is dirty and boring. I came back because, turns out, my hot wife wanted to live in the dirty and boring, and she wasn't super impressed by the fact I went missing in action for nearly a year. Who would have thought?" She scoffed; Kaisra had not been impressed. Gossamer Alessandra questionably Eerie then laughed. "How did you think I won the Regime if not for childhood influence? You don't become a gambler by chance, darling."

Sundara grinned, back to the rhyme game. "A gambler by chance, and a life of romance," the cat replied gleefully, "perhaps you came here because of your finance?"
Sundara was bored of this. Turning to Soma, a wide grin appeared on his face. "Brother dearest, let's do something fun, let's go to a casino, this cat's already won." He grabbed Gossamer by the arm? paw? and immediately dragged the other cat along. "A gambler by nature, a gambler by chance, maybe she'll win us some tickets to France!"
