Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The time of day was night far after many warriors had been done with their duties. Whether they were hoping to find romance, flings, someone to have kits with, or are already disappointed by the turn out and want to go home the two were there and now it was time for conversations to fly. They only had 10 minutes and three partners to choose from so it’s best to ask and answer all the right questions to get to know the other.
Each speed round had a separate area for the two cats to talk. This particular speed round was inside of a den that appeared to be butterfly themed. The floor of the den was blanketed in a rainbow spread of wildflowers. Butterflies fluttered in and about from the flowers to the den walls. The butterflies seemed especially friendly to the two cats in the room.
Astutepaw was crouched down, observing the butterflies before him and completely missing the other cat stepping into the room. His mind was going through the scientific terms for each of them, fascinated by the creatures before him just as he was by many, many things in the world. Danaus plexippus, the most commonly seen butterfly in this area known as the monarch butterfly, then there's the papilio cresphontes or the white swallowtail butterfly that draws more eyes than the traditional monarch butterflies. His gaze moved up a little as one landed on his nose. Ah, the morpho peleides or blue morpho butterfly! His thoughts distracted him from the worry of meeting this other cat and even the idea of participating in this speeding dating thing at all. Astutepaw was starting to second guess his decision to come, but he'd been fascinated by the idea of meeting someone new, of studying them, but then he remembered how well he does with new people without his brother Passionatepaw with him. Which was poorly, unless the other tom was with him to take on the majority of the conversation and keep the other cats from making fun of the smarty pants Astutepaw.
