Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The time of day was night far after many warriors had been done with their duties. Whether they were hoping to find romance, flings, someone to have kits with, or are already disappointed by the turn out and want to go home the two were there and now it was time for conversations to fly. They only had 10 minutes and three partners to choose from so it’s best to ask and answer all the right questions to get to know the other.
Each speed round had a separate area for the two cats to talk. This particular speed round didn’t take place in a den or very far from the meeting grounds, in fact it came with an activity. One cat was meant to hunt with a leaf blindfold, while the other was supposed to direct them on where the prey precisely was in order to instruct them how to hunt. Its suggested that the cat with the closest letter to A is blindfolded while the other directs.
Cloudymuse eyed the blindfold with an unimpressed gaze. He was so not excited about doing work, though he kind of had the easier part as he didn't have to direct someone else. The bad part is that he's gotta do the walking and finding. Work, he hated work. "Do we have too? We could just lay here and watch the sky and say we did that." He motioned to the blindfold before him, a little hopeful the other cat would say yes and let him be lazy. The tom doubted it though.
"That would be preferable. To be completely honest the last speed date I partook in was this exact same challenge. I'd rather we have a unique experience and not a copy cat of another," Lioncub expressed, his paw traced circles in the soil as he anxiously stared at Cloudymuse, he felt way more anxious around Cloudymuse than he had with Lightember. Maybe because Cloudymuse was a tom and while there was an attraction to either gender there was still a stigma in WinterClan that choosing a mate of the same gender didn't bring about kits and therefore was a bit frowned upon. Not to mention the other tom wasn't even a WinterClan cat. He had even said he didn't like outsiders and yet here he was paired up with nothing, but outsiders so far.
"So, I'm going to ruin the mood a bit, but what makes FallClan so great anyways? Is it the lack of conflict because I could see that," Lioncub said thoughtfully.
Cloudymuse raised an eyebrow, a little surprised this cat was agreeing with him. Most hated the idea of being lazy and tended to become frustrated with his laziness. "Eh, don't know. I've just always been there, didn't really care to leave." More like, he's too lazy to leave the clan he's always known and grown up in. Life was easier just staying where he is. Plus there's his sometimes lover that lives in FallClan too. Cloudymuse rolled onto his side, making himself comfortable on the ground. "What's so great about your clan?" He countered the question, but he also had no idea where this cat was from as he hadn't been paying attention when they'd been told who they were having dates with. He honestly hadn't cared who they were or where they were from.
