Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Like his daughter, Zengarden often enjoyed going on solo treks out into the wilderness beyond their camp, appreciating the scenery and all that nature had to offer. Occasionally he would meet another soul who wanted to be on their own for one reason or another; sometimes he would offer company, other times he would slink away, hoping he hadn’t disturbed them and instead allowed them to enjoy what little peace or solace of their own time he could give them. This, however, was an unusual incident. The grey tom tilted his head in confusion and stared at the feline who was hanging with their feet in the air and their torso in the ground.
“Um.” He blinked, for one of the few times in his life lost for words, eyes wide, “excuse me?”

"Oh, hello there," called the calico elder, blinking his soft mossy eyes open to see just who it was that stumbled across his modified sunning. It was tough being an elder when.... Brokenfeather wasn't actually so elder. He wasn't even that disabled either. It had been for the better of his clan for him to stay in the elder's den though. He could defend the actual elders, and he knew a bit about medicine too, it kept Sakurapaw from having to check in on them all the time. But sometimes he needed some time out. And now was that time. "Here to join?"
Zengarden blinked. Though perhaps with a bit more time -- and exposure -- to the tom, the image would've appeared normal, maybe even uninterestingly mundane. However, seeing the tom -- who he knew spent most of his time in the elders den -- upside down had him blinking repeatedly. "Er, yes," he cleared his throat, "of course. I mean, no, not- but, sure, I'd love to join you, if you'd have me."

"So fancy," the calico tom meowed back, somewhat teasing of the other, "If you'd have me," he repeated back, quietly, almost to himself. "I see why Jetstar thinks so highly of you." He waved his paw in the air, slowly circling it about as his eyes grazed over the sky, remaining small slits to keep the sun from blinding him. That was all he needed, blindness on top of the permanent limp in his gait.
The tom chuckled and shook his head in amusement, though inwardly blinked at the other's comment. Did Jetstar think highly of him in some way? Zengarden didn't have a lick of belief in that. He'd hardly interacted with the leader and the last time he'd fallen into a conversation about her, it hadn't exactly been positive, as much as he tried to steer it away from where it stubbornly traveled.
If anything, it was his daughter that would be thought of so highly by his leader, and that was all he asked for. A good future for Sakurapaw, a reassurance for him so that when the time came for he and Septariadragon to pass on, she wouldn't be left on her own.
"Anyway," he coughed, "what exactly are we doing?"
