Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
She completed, no, survived her training with Senescence. Few would have been able to endure the hell she was put through. Desiree thought she was strong. She believed she had begun to embody the strength she desired, but no. The DayClan Massacre proved it a long time ago, and it had been nagging at her ever since. She was not significantly faster than everyone else, but just marginally so. It made the difference, but it was not enough. She needed to dominate, to control. Above all, she needed to win, and the red furred she-cat simply could not with her ever-present weakness. The obvious solution was to train harder than she had done before in a place she had never been to, the city.
Vera's training sessions were pointless. They did nothing but prepare for the average, so she returned to her previous methods. By now, Desiree had not been seen in the League for almost two weeks. Instead, the she-cat was starving and depriving herself of sleep in her private liar in the southern section of the Gorge, which she still maintained despite the move away from the original territory. Once she felt handicapped enough, she walked to the city and picked a fight with a fox on the city fence line. Her ribs were countable and her thoughts were scattered she fought the fox, but she kept it together just as she did when Senescence was torturing her. Her blows were quick and sharp to the most painful areas of its body, including the eyes, nose and ear. Soon enough, the fox lost interest in the she-cat, but Desiree wanted, no, needed the kill. With its tactic shifted from fight to flight, it became simple to inflict deep wounds on the fox, and it slowly bled out as Desiree assaulted it.
As soon as the fox heaved its last breath, Desiree collapsed into the pool of her own and the fox's blood. She heaved her head up to make sure the fox was down, and, to her relief, it was. Her vision danced with felines who simply weren't there and her ears heard the disapproval of her former mentor as her head fell to the earth. Unfortunately, she could not rest quite yet. She needed to get to cover. She limped inside the line and into one of the small buildings near by before collapsing once again.
It was what seemed like forever that passed by. A cat had happened upon the strong stench of the iron-like smell of blood. Curious, Kenna would follow the scent until she came to the main source. It was then that she found the blood upon the ground. Her nose wrinkled up as she followed the trail, mingled with a cat’s scent. The smell of blood too strong to make out who... wriggling her ears the she-cat finally came to find her. ”Great wan heda...”
When Kenna found the hunter her jade green eyes were barely open. Still, one could easily see the fading glow of victory blazing in her optics with a new flare of defiance upon Kenna coming into view, but she could not see. The fox's blood had run into her eyes, giving her vision a blurry red tinge. She tried to push herself to her paws, but could not find the physical nor mental strength to do so. Instead, she simply glared at the combatant.
“Well. This simply will not do. I’ll be back.” The feline then spun around, rushing back to the coalition. She would need to fetch the high sage. She didn’t know a lot about herbs, and this seemed too serious to simply just give poppy seeds.
Desiree's blood-red eyes widened, and she hissed in defiance the best she could which sounded akin to a hoarse growl. "No... please. I can... push through this. " Her breathing was shallow but slowly stabilizing. "I don't... need you."
She gritted her teeth together and hissed again. She was not weak enough to need help from this stranger. "I'm telling you no." The cat was clearly ignorant of the truce with the League. If the Heda caught wind of her presence, Desiree would certainly be killed. "I will survive."
