STARCHILD – (1) a kind of changeling or foundling, a child seemingly having fallen from the stars and not of ordinary human descent; (2) A person who loves the stars, moon, and anything else in the solar system. They feel particularly happier and at peace at night and during full moons.

It hadn't been an easy decision to leave the land he'd known as home and headquarters since his birth, but after the children were put at risk and the realm was falling apart under Wintrystar's reign, Chasingpaw nearly felt he had no choice. He liked Subtlepaw, dare he say even loved, but in the end, not even her presence could soothe the panic for his own safety and the need to find sanctuary outside of WinterClan.

But if there were any place where he could find sanctuary, friendship, and a life mission, it would be the clan that themselves lived their lives under the stars. His stomach had gotten butterflies in excitement the closer he got to the territory, and once he was accepted into the ranks – after being taken prisoner for trespassing, as he was now old enough to be considered eligible to break that law – he found not an ounce of regret in his little body.

The tom smiled softly and gazed up at the night sky, the twinkling stars, and the beautiful shimmer of the silver streak against dark blue and black.
