Chasingpaw was late, not that it was all the unusual for this particular tom. Before he could go anywhere there was a list of things that he had to. First he had to make his nest. If you left your nest unmade in the morning, you might not return to it that night. Secondly he had to groom even the smallest of tangles and tufts of loose from his pelt. Third he had to to attach the lucky feather his mother had given him as a kit, so that he wouldn't have bad luck.
Finally he had made it out of the apprentice den, to meet with Harvestcharm for training "Good morning" he greeted cheerfully, oblivious to the fact that the sun was already high in the sky Faith
