Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"Hey you," Twilightveil meowed at the first cat he saw. After his discovery he'd been unceremoniously deposited in this wide open, ashy camp-like space that he heard his captor murmur as the City of Ashes. He got the ashes part, but not so much a city, as it didn't really seem like the type of place any proper life should inhabit, "Are there any... nests here? Dens? Has anyone, like, tried to sweep or something? Or move somewhere less.. trashy?"
Wickedshriek gave the newcomer a dark look. He was a Shadowhunter, for crying out loud--why was he stuck guarding the City of Ash when he would be perfectly fine if all the downworlders and mundanes got eaten by wolves? "No," he told Twilightveil with a growl. "Make your own nest, if you want one. Or do your own cleaning. If you wanna move, you gotta put in the time at the Academy. Consul's rules." And good ones, at that--in his own not-so-humble opinion.
So it seemed he was in prison. This was nothing new or alarming to Twilightveil. He'd spent most of his apprenticeship imprisoned by Bloodystar and, the moment he had a glimmer of freedom, he'd gotten himself trapped in that god forsaken cave. In comparison to his previous experiences, the City of Ash was pretty dope.
"Okay, I guess I'll make a nest."
The gray-furred tom stretched with a big yawn then walked past Wickedshrink and into the nearby forest in search of bedding materials.
"Oh no no no no no you don't," Wickedshriek growled, following after the tom. "You know how many of you people have tried to escape in six months? Two. And as long as I'm on guard duty there won't be a third. Go ahead and look for materials, but don't do anything stupid, because I'll be supervising you."
i don't even know if the city of ash is supposed to have shadowhunter guards stationed there, but...listen, wickedshriek needs a reason to be there alright? xD
idk man Moon lore will forever confuse me, but the more we mess it up the more fun we'll have when someone who knows better catches us !!
"Okay, just don't slow me down."
Twilightveil was totally calm, not even a glimmer of fear crossing his face as the shadowhunter lectured him. He was used to being yelled at and this was literally nothing to him.
Tasting the air, the gray-and-white tom returned his attention to the new territory that surrounded him. It was very different than SunClan. Lush and green, the trees had such dense foliage that it cast everything around him - save for the City of Ash, of course - into dense shadows. If he didn't know better, he'd think it was nighttime. It was sort of comforting to him in a way. The less time he spent under the Sun God's glare, the better.
It didn't take him long to find some really, really nice bedding, the kid that Wickedshriek would certainly want for his own nest, which he promptly began to collect and shove toward his companion, "Hold this for now."
