Strange that Heavypetal had been assigned an apprentice to be friends for the day with, though it did make sense. He knew just about all the warrior aged cats in the clan, maybe he did need to start getting on better terms with the younger generation of his clan. They were the future after all... and all that. The large tabby looked about for the apprentice, wondering just where he might be today.
Melonpaw gave Heavypetal a surly look from where he was lounging near the apprentice's den. Melonpaw had always been a bit irritable, but his attitude had reached new heights after his accident--understandably so, in Melonpaw's own opinion. He waved the deputy over with a paw, with very little energy. "Sup."

"Oh there you are," the deputy called, trotting over to the apprentice. "How's it going?" he asked, looking down at the little bracelet that still remained tied to his paw, "We got matching beads," he mewed, hoping that the younger cat would understand without much explaining on his part.
