Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The Imperial Council gathered behind the veil of the purple wisteria tree branches. Presenting in front of them were Disloyaldog, Foxbane, Lilacbane, Moltenmidnight, Suncuddler, and Orchiddrop. Each were DayClan members who believed they deserved to be of a higher class standing. It was up to the Imperial Council to discuss their arguments and eventually vote on who should be promoted to a higher class and who should remain the same.
- Vote in your characters point of view, not yours
- Vote ends on the 26th or until there is a majority!
- You're welcome to ping the roleplayers and have your character question them in order to help you make a decision
- Please make sure to vote if you rp an Imperial character, it's a big rp position for a reason and it's only special if you participate! If you don't participate in enough votes it's inferred that your character isn't participating either and they might be the one being discussed for demotion to Socialite someday for not participating xD
- Results will be posted in this thread at the end of the vote
CATS ASKING FOR A PROMOTION
Disloyaldog [Faith] ✧ Forsaken
Desired Class: Maverick
Argument: It was all fun in games until someone got hurt, I didn't mean for my mom to get hurt, it was the last thing I would have wanted.
Crime: Helped Bloodystar, a tyrant in SunClan get a powerful amulet to hurt more cats. The amulet ended up cursing Glowstar to have a weaker form during the day. He also kidnapped Autumngossamer's daughter and gave her to Bloodystar. He also has threatened to throw apprentices off cliffs and then drags them towards a cliff. People stop him in time before something happens, but no one knows if he'll actually do it or is just scaring them.
Foxbane [Honeystorm] ✧ Maverick
Desired Class: Peacekeeper
Argument: I was picked as the third choice for DayClan leader in Glow's absence, and performed medicine cat duties during that time. I've shown my loyalty and care to DayClan in recent moons.
Crime: Enslaved DayClan, killed DayClan queens, stole entire litters of DayClan kits, forcibly assimilated members of DayClan into SunClan, killed DayClan kits, traumatized DayClan queens, murdered Glowstar. Probably a lot more we don't know about.
Lilacbane [Faith] ✧ Maverick
Desired Class: Peacekeeper
Argument: I'm more loyal than any cat here, my mother only made me a Maverick to control me
Crime: Had been challenging other cats at the border unprovoked and disobeying orders from authority to not be so aggressive.
Moltenmidnight [Jadie] ✧ Socialite
Desired Class: Imperial
Argument: I was among the youngest ever Bright Brigade members and no cat can doubt my loyalty to DayClan. I have put my life on the line for this group since I was a kit and will continue to do so for the rest of my moons.
Crime: None
Suncuddler [Honeystorm] ✧ Forsaken
Desired Class: Maverick
Argument: If Fox gets promoted, I should too. Also, I haven't been involved with SunClan in a long time!
Crime: Was a DayClan warrior when she led Littlestar and Foxbane into DayClan camp where they ended up assaulting Autumngossamer and her mate Lovesmitten while she was giving birth, and stealing her kits and then giving them away to a different couple. None of which would have happened if she hadn't led them into camp. And also murdered Spiderbranch.
Orchiddrop [Ashestoashes] ✧ Peacekeeper
Desired Class: Socialite or Imperial
Argument: "Well although a quiet and I think rather sad individual she is very kind and hard working. I definitely think she deserves a promotion!" - Whintershine
Pssst Suncuddler also murdered her mate Spiderbranch
Flawedperspective hadn’t ever attended one of these and was slightly at a loss as to what she was expected to do. Hopefully her own vote wouldn’t hold to much sway, she’d hate to cause someone pain. The she-cat is far to soft for her own good and many knew that. It was the possibility of why she’d never been invited to one of these before.

From his spot beside Tigerlily, Snowthorn waited for Moltenmidnight’s answer indifferently. He was already confident what his vote would be, but their response could potentially sway him. Either way, he didn’t care too much. There were only a few cats in question that he felt very strongly about one way or another, and Moltenmidnight wasn’t one of them. He didn’t want to share his opinions too much until their names came up. Until then, he was more curious to see how his mate’s votes would align with his own.

( Suncuddler is also claiming she murdered Spiderbranch because he was abusing her. She was supposed to also blame Lilac for allowing it, but since the thread didn't finish, that's your call if you want Lilac to have blame thrown at her. xD )
Laughingsky sat quietly to the side as he listened to the proceedings. Foxbane wanted a promotion. The cat who had quite literally carved him up as a newborn, and killed BOTH of his parents. She wasn't asking to become an Imperial or anything, of course, and in a way, it was fitting that she had to look him in the eye and ask for a promotion, which he had the power to help deny. Even still, he knew this wasn't going to be an easy choice for him to make.
Azura had started to make a recovery from her spiral, and so actually took these things seriously again. She was grateful to Disloyaldog on some level, so she would bring him out. But Foxbane? Pffft. She turned her head to face Foxbane. "I frankly don't understand why you think you deserve to be a Peacekeeper. You lie, abuse kits, abuse queens, and, hell, made SunClan the monster that it is, which inflicted suffering on many more cats. Tell me why you even deserve to be a Maverick. Any other cat of your type would be Forsaken, but you happen to have some... connections."

The ex-Priestess met Azura's gaze levelly. "Yes, I should have been Forsaken, in fact, I should probably have been turned away from DayClan entirely." Foxbane agreed easily enough. After all, the she-cat wasn't wrong at all. "And I am eternally grateful that I was allowed to join. But I've also been part of DayClan for a long while now. Long enough for kits to become warriors, long enough that the clan nearly entrusted DayClan to me in Glowstar's absence, and Goldenstar DID entrust me with healing the clan at that time. At any time here, I could have been demoted to Forsaken, and yet, I've not done anything that the Imperials decided it was necessary, even when we thought Glow was dead and thus my biggest supporter was gone. My past will always be a factor at play, and understandably so. I don't deserve any of the kindness DayClan has shown me, and I likely never will. No amount of good can outweigh the things I've done. That doesn't stop me from desiring to move forward and put myself in a place to better help the clan. I can't convince you to promote me, I can only let my time in this clan recently speak for itself. And if that's not enough, it's not enough." Would she be disappointed, and probably more than a little irritated if refused the promotion? Yeah, most likely. But so long as Glowstar still believed in her, that was enough for Foxbane. stardance
In true honesty, Flawedperspective wanted nothing to do with her mother Foxbane. She she-cat hadn’t really spoken with Foxbane since the ex-Priestess had arrived in DayClan. Truly, Flawedperspective had hoped to never encounter her again. It was such an awful thing to think and she scolded herself for it. But in truth, Foxbane had never treated her as a true daughter, more a nuisance than anything. The agouti tabby hated the reminder that her mother had nearly lead DayClan, as she knew in her heart that it would be one very similar to SunClan under Foxbane’s rule. It wouldn’t be the home she’d grown to love then, and be she hated to think of what would have happened if Foxbane had been given that control. Heading the rest of her mother’s words, Flawedperspective was conflicted. She truly believed in second, even third chances. And while she hoped that for all cats, even her own mother, Flawederspective couldn’t set aside the hurt she’d dealt with all these years to give a good, honest opinion on Foxbane’s sentence. “May…may I be excused for her final decision?” Maybe it was for the best of she didn’t voice an opinion. Whether she choose from the heart or from the mind, her answer would differ and she didn’t feel that was fair.
Kerrigan found herself brushing her tail across the shoulder of Flawedperspective. She didn't know the other Imperial Class well, but she could tell by the sound of her voice that the feline could use a hint of comfort. She shouldn't have to make the decision, and Kerrigan would say so if Glowstar didn't honor her request. She could understand why it would be hard for the she-cat. After all, it was hard for her, too. Foxstar and Kerrigan had never been particularly close, and whatever hints of the old Kerrigan that still remained told her to run every time she was in the same room as Foxbane. Yet, at the same time, there was a hint of conflict. If Foxbane was ineligible for a promotion, what did that say about her? Although she herself in this life hadn't committed any attrocities, Kerrigan had enough of her memories to know that in her last life, she surely did. She'd been made aware that her grandmother had been at least part to blame for the terrorizing of the forest that happened during the regime of the Pride, so if they were basing the decisions solely on history, did the young warrior herself deserve to be an Imperial? Was reincarnation enough to absolve her of her sins? At least your grandmother never hurt a child . She shifted uncomfortably, a war going on in her very soul. The war was quickly being lost, though, or won, depending on how you looked at it. She was at her very core lawful. In her last life, perhaps she had been lawful evil, but this version of Kerrigan wanted to be better, needed to be better, and was now closely at the border between lawful neutral and lawful good. Either way, she couldn't outrun the lawful part of her, the core of her identity, which made most of the decisions easy.
"My goal has always been to serve DayClan to the best of my ability," Moltenmidnight replied, his voice thunderous, his eyes unwavering as he leveled his gaze on Glowstar. The bengal tom looked every part a ruler. He was large and well-muscled, with sleek fur that betrayed every curve of his well-muscled body. Friendly, handsome, confident, he was really the picture of perfection, or at least it seemed as much, "This first task I would like to accomplish would be to improve the individual relationships between our clanmates. When we are united, we are at out strongest, but StarClan has recently created a divide between us that I'd like to see closed. Becoming an Imperial will allow me more freedom to do what is needed to strengthen the Clan."
Rubyflame huffed. "While I can recognize Foxbane has managed to do something to make amends, I don't feel comfortable elevating her above Maverick. My connection to my kits is forever damaged thanks to her actions, to say nothing to what she's done to others which was far, far worse."
"That being said," Rubyflame said stiffly. "She has made efforts to move forward. Which was why I never felt a need to push for her to be Forsaken. She also has never run from who she is, and that I can respect."
"Which is why," She cut her eyes to Suncuddler. "I will adamantly refuse to promote you from Forsaken." She said simply. "Your claim was that if Foxbane should be considered for promotion so should you, and yet you come to us having not truly made amends for your past misdeeds, and in fact another death on your conscience. I will not hear otherwise. You should remain a Forsaken."
The rest Rubyflame didn't have as strong of an opinion though she cast her eye to Disloyaldog. "Disloyaldog... I... have mixed feelings of forgiving you for your actions." She meowed. "You put DayClan in a difficult position, but ultimately the one you hurt the most was your mother." She glanced to Glowstar. "I am willing to hear you out, along with Glowstar's thoughts on reinstating you as a maverick."

"What would you do, if you were being abused?" Suncuddler leaned forward as she spoke, her eyes wide as she spoke with an innocent voice. "This clan has made me the lowest of the low and no one wants to listen to me, let alone believe I was being hurt. No one I spoke to listened to me, and now that I did the only thing I could to save myself... I'm the bad one? Never claim you care about anyone abused by their mate again, when you refuse to believe someone purely on their social standing."
Rubyflame simply shook her head. She thought of Autumngossamer who had been brought low and hurt by a God, and she'd cursed him in her desperation. If Suncuddler was telling the truth, then why take such a dire action? Surely some other option was available.
That was enough to make Rubyflame have doubts on top of Suncuddler's prior crimes.

Lovesmitten was quiet for a few moments, merely looking between the cats whom had assembled to ask for promotion. He had questions for several of them… “Vixenkismet, you have been making efforts to make amends but I don’t feel that you are ready for promotion just yet. You may have served as DayClan’s medicine cat for a time, but I have yet to see proof that you have changed for the better. Anyone can put on an act and pretend for a time, wasn’t it you that taught me that? It wouldn’t be the first time you have put on a show to manipulate others, now would it?” He paused giving a slight shake of his head “You said it yourself, allow your actions to speak for you. At this time, it’s not enough to convince me that you have truly changed” —————-
(Almost a month has passed, almost, but I'm here! xD)
Glowstar waited for all the votes to be cast. Counting up the stones she lifted her head up to those who were to be promoted.
"Disloyaldog, the Imperial Council has reviewed your argument and decided that you shall go from Forsaken to Maverick. Your name may return to Leucisticcrow."
Lifting her paw revealed seven stones cast for Leucisticcrow to be Maverick and three to remain as Forsaken.
"Foxbane, the Imperial Council has reviewed your argument and decided that you shall remain Maverick."
Lifting her paw revealed seven stones cast for Foxbane to remain as Maverick and four to become Peacekeeper. But there was one stone in a separate pile, as one Imperial Council member had voted for Foxbane to be demoted to Forsaken.
"Lilacbane, the Imperial Council has reviewed your argument and decided that you shall go from Maverick to Peacekeeper."
Lifting her paw revealed six stones cast for Lilacbane to be Peacekeper and four to remain as Forsaken.
"Moltenmidnight, the Imperial Council has reviewed your argument and decided that you shall go from Socialite to Imperial."
Lifting her paw revealed all ten stones, unanimously agreeing that Moltenmidnight would join the Imperial Council. "looks like you should be sitting with us right now," She purred.
"Suncuddler, the Imperial Council has reviewed your argument and decided that you shall remain as a Forsaken."
Lifting her paw revealed seven stones cast for Suncuddler to be Forsaken and three to become Maverick.
"Orchiddrop, the Imperial Council has reviewed your argument and decided that you shall go from Peacekeeper to Socialite."
Lifting her paw revealed five stones cast for Orchiddrop to be Socialite and four to become Imperial and one to remain as Peacekeeper.
"That concludes the first social class promotion!" Glowstar announced. She was glad with the results, all except for Foxbane, but it wasn't up to her. Her clan needed to feel comfortable with Foxbane as Peacekeeper and so far the Imperial Council didn't feel she was ready.
